PD: I'm MagicFerrari's friend, he told sth about me some time ago.
My average is mid 1:50's but I think I've got mid :49's in me. On the right tires you'll be good. 👍Turned a 1:51:077Nevermind... Wrong tire was used test session.
Marcus Garvey/Marcus__Garvey/Whatever you need more of on the grid
M3 GT '11 (non base-model) ok?
You're going to look like Naptown's teammate. Not sure if you want to be that closely associated with a Hoosier.
Brandon, maybe we could try to expand the grid to 16 drivers in order to give 2 more entries. As you said, we are at risk of having lag, but it can be minimised by setting race quality to Normal and disallowing microphone use within the room.
Furthermore, if players -especially the host- have an Ethernet-provided Internet connection the lag shouldn't spoil the event.
As much as I'd like to I just don't trust a full room and have already seen a few lag problems in GT6. I've tried all the different settings and disabling chat in the past and saw little to no improvement, if lag is going to happen it's going to happen it and the more in the room the worse it is. I have a very strong wired connection but I can't control others connections. I do use the "normal" quality setting and voice shat on standard. If we do get 14 I will probably disable voice chat just to be safe. I would rather have 2 fewer drivers then risk having the whole thing ruined by lag issues. Even at 14 we may see some stuttering but hopefully once the grid spreads out a bit everything will smooth out. 👍
Thanks for the input though. I'm not trying to dismiss your suggestion, just going with what is my experience to make sure we have the smoothest race we can.
I'll indulge you with some pics...
I'm in!

Hi all...!
Don't think I can let this opportunity pass, to race with this fantastic group, so I opt in for a (the last?) spot..
However, I am not sure if the above list of registered drivers are fully updated, as I can't see Marcus and DavidIzq listed, yet they posted for participation..?
I do hope that a spot still is vacant... If not, then I will be the first on the reserve-list..

... and for you, I will allow a 15th spot.
I'd like to confirm my presence.

THANKS
To anyone (@MagicFerrari ) with connection issues:
1) Make sure you've cleared your network cache (options -> network)
2) Make sure you have proper ports forwarded to your PS3 in your router.
2a) To do it right you're gonna have to set your PS3 to have a fixed IP address in PS3 network setting
2b) And then forward ports listed in a link above to this IP.
My bad mate, I musta missed your post. You're in, we'll allow a full grid and I'll disable voice chat to help avoid lag.Not wanting to complain or anything but I put my name in there quite early...did I get turned down? Guess I'll ask for a reserve spot if I can
DMZ should work, but I'd rather not open up every portThanks.
If I'm not very much mistaken, I could use the DMZ Host feature and fill it with my PS3's fixed IP in order to have ports forwarded.
DMZ should work, but I'd rather not open up every port
Port-forwarding is basically a DMZ for GT6, that's on all the time. I'd drop ports 80 and 443 off the list though.
