I' got to say this new tyre model is pure nirvana!. i currently only run road cars on period correct street tyres and this new model has restored my faith in AC. Previously the only other sim i gave kudos to was LFS (sorry i haven't played iracing), but now AC is on par if not better!

I can actually catch slides as i would in real life and most cars can do a burnout on the brake , so the low speed physics have come good.

Still not convinced with the Audi UR Quattro lack of 4wd donut capabilites (goes full front wheel drive) due to no center diff action.....and performing a roll back in a front drive Fiat 500 makes you 180????

But bottom line i was so happy with the new tyre model, i broke from my 42 year old COOL self..and told my wife and kids about it over dinner. They just ain't care LOL

Lol yeah I excitedly told my wife about it, and got this look:

Whoa, 1.3.3 out already! Great to see the fixes coming in so quickly. The benefits of being PC only. 👍 I'm curious what they're going to do with QA when AC is on PS4/XB1, can't release patches as quick as this on those unless you're a big fish.

I really wish Sony and MS would improve the release model. Especially with indie/small devs stuff breaks all the time in patches, so you want them to release small patches (easier to QA) often (so bugs can be fixed quickly) rather than big ones slow (much higher risk). It's obvious it works, Kunos fixes stuff right after it's reported if necessary. I'd hate to see that stopped on consoles.

Quick patching is caused by being on PC mate. Everybody has a different system and what works for one user doesn't for another. Then it's patch, patch, patch.

The console versions won't need patching like that as there isn't any variation between machines.

So no console games ever need patches? Oh, right...

Oh I can read just fine thank you. Learn some MANNERS. If you think even exclusive titles on consoles don't come out and need quick patching due to bugs then you are quite mistaken.

While the specifications argument is true, this is not the case for AC, at least not for 1.3.1 through 1.3.3. Those changelogs contain very little system specific fixes, but mostly generic fixes.

And as @Punknoodle says: console-only titles (or multiplatform-titles) are not free from game-breaking bugs. Unfortunately, unless you are EA (and/or have very deep pockets) you can't patch as quickly as on PC. And for small/indie devs, that's definitely an issue/something to take into account.

Then I suggest you don't post in the manner you posted in as well then. That is what drew my response. Let's call that a day and move on.

Agreed, I'n not suggesting that consoles are immune from fault, I'm just pointing out that PC's are constantly moving targets whereas consoles have to benefit of none changing specification and therefore don't need that kind of quick patch protocol.

Patches for the Xbox have to be tested by Microsoft before been released to the public, and it is the same with Sony and the playstation also. This slows down the rate at which patches can usually be put out. Microsoft are more stringent than Sony in this regard. It has nothing to do with the hardware been a consistent none changing format at all. There also used to be issues in the past with Microsoft and Sony charging game devs for patches, which as far as I know, Microsoft have dropped that charge now. I am not sure about Sony though. But this also had a knock on effect of causing delays with patches, as devs would only release a big patch. As it was not cost effective for them to release incremental small patches. It use to cost upwards of $40,000 to put a patch out on the Xbox, as Microsoft used to impose a re-certification of the games with each title update. Valve never required this with steam, so patches always came out with a much higher frequency. As it is an open system.
