So for those of you here that drag at Indy, what speeds do you hit on the back straight? Remember this is from the end of the yellow striped area to the shadow cast by the banner before the left hand turn:

Post whatever car you want (in MPH) and please, be honest :)

I get steady 142's in my ZR1RM, it's not tuned for drag, so it's a little pathetic.

Not bad; but I hear is it capable of hitting 150's. Don't break out the Vetts much myself lol

This is awesome, never known about this before. Just tried it on my own; great fun. thanks.

Although only got 142 in my 458, but not set up for this.

Depending on the car I have because I'm a heavy drag racer I usually range form 135MPH to 160MPH. Depends on the car and how I tuned it.

I cant get anything higher then 160 mph in my No Stripe no matter what I do to the transmission.

I hit 163 in my ACR but my fastest car is the Le Mans Quattro where I hit 158.

I think his ACR is faster in the quarter mile but his le mans quattro is faster in general. That's what I guess. But indeed, it's a bit confusing lol.

Oh, that lol. Acr hits higher speed but launch isn't the best. Le Mans launches like a bat out of hell and still has good acceleration.

Really?? The Mach 1 might not even hit the back wall at 154 mph.. I got to see it to believe it.

Some of you are fibbing a little.

I have it drag tuned to the max and really pushing it. I launched in second an I'm maxing at 154 about 4 feet after the shadow, other wise at the start of the shadow it's about 149/150.

The speed hardly matters, focus on the launch, and top out 2 car lenghts past the shadows. I use that technic and im pretty competitable. The key is to use as many gears as possible. Dont go for this crap that you should use fewer gears, it wont work. Also do the transmission trick if you want to use as many gears as possible. If you cant make 1st gear long enough, launch from second and exit in 6th gear then... If you have to close gear ratios, use auto shift, much faster actually, and not nooby as some people claim.

On my Escudo I use extremely close ratios and then a long 6th to gain speed and I top at 159/160 at the shadow. The accelarion is so good that the only car I can't beat is the Veryron (apart from F1/X1 etc.)

Well, the escudo isnt really a "street" car......arghh if i only could save multiple tunes, got a bunch of cars to tune up for ssr7 and Indy.

Yea I love the escudo. It's funny cuz most people don't know about it and when I bring it out to kill their Veyron they're like "What the @%$# was that?!?"

PD WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?

That is true, the Escudo isn't a street car lol.

But it's the only "race car" that is competitive at Indy. All others launch wayyyy too slow.

If you don't know how to tune the Escudo though, your going to get destroyed. Escudo launches way too slow until you screw with the transmission.

How do you have yours tuned, I can't whoop a Veyron even with my best effort. Hell, I can't even keep up.

Well, that explains the iq of fellow indy dragers, seriously what kind if people are you running with, no wonder you are beating them all the time.
