-_- Ungh, I could not stand Wangan Midnight. I still remember when I watched it, every time I gave a report on the General Anime thread I said it sucked and sucked. But the cars do look great in the show, very good animation for them. It was like the only thing the show had going for it.

Well, I actually had the same feelings as yours. Wangan Midnight did not provide the excitement that Initial D has. That's because of the drag racing at Wangan, which looks boring whatever way you look at it.

However, the only thing that raised it to stardom is the arcade version. Look at it, WMMT is now one of the most popular arcade racing games, outshining even Initial D. In the local arcade, there are even teams who gather at those WMMT machines, and tournaments happen once in a while.


So far, the local arcade has WMMT4, and I'm glad that there is RUF in it. I'm waiting for 5 to come out, and Japan only has it for now.

Well ok, not the anime as it's only 2 ovas lol, but the manga is full of cars. But since it isn't about cars but bounty hunter action but cars play a big role in it, it manages to actually be good instead of sucking because it's about cars.

It just holds my interest because I used to spend A LOT of time on my local mountain roads at night when I lived in Colorado (not because of Initial D) and because it's about the same activities I was attracted to it. I don't find it that bad to be honest, but to each their own I guess.

Yup.

My Japanese packages mostly passes through L.A., and they can sit there for days. I want to say that it's gone one week without a scan there one time. My Chinese packages & some Japanese ones have gone through San Francisco, and they are faster. Two days, tops. I want to fire everyone at LA Customs. Maybe it's not even their fault, but man, sure would make my day........

I've read couple of mangas, seen few episodes & saw that Chinese movie.

Manga - A

Anime - B-(CG's stupid in anime)

Chinese Movie - B(pretty good, but forgettable)

Just my opinion, but I'm definitely right.

I was surprised by how little TLVs were featured in the article, but couple of things I was amused by:

This F-Zero looking thing. Also, this car(dedicated to Cano, & only Cano).

Those new cars that kids came up with were absolute crap. So bad.

Hard to come by? How about non existent? The only access I have to them is through the regular online haunts. And to be honest I've been so distracted by TLV's lately, I completely forgot about the GL Flatbed and everything else actually. Get round to it one of these days, probably...

Yes you do! You need all the Skyline Vans in your life. Much richness indeed. I think I have said before that if forced to pick a favorite TLV casting, it would be the Kenmeri Van/Wagon.

I'm sure @Cano can give you a few pointers. He's our resident toddler disappointment expert . And the Skyline Van is cool. Damn, that guy has a killer collection, I really like the look of the TLV Hino Fire Truck too.

The ladder extends. Far. One is in the LA customs abyss on its way to me, but who knows when it will arrive. @a6m5 I think has one coming as well.
