The only purchase log I need is the combination of receipts, posts in here and my brain. :P

Jokes aside though, I've got posts to reply to.

Digging the colour of Motor World Camaro, looks great on the GL flat bed trailer too. Nice grabs. đź‘Ť
I got the Camaro not only for my collection, but to put on the flatbed as well. It fits in nicer than I thought since both are 1969 model years.
We are bad people.

To give a better sense of context, I'm recording every diecast I purchase from now on. The item, the price (including taxes, shipping, etc), seller, location and a count on how many items purchased, sorted by months and years.

It's an eye-opener for me, and I'm using it as a psychological deterrent for further careless spending.
Really good idea in my eyes. đź‘Ť

Relisting all cars is certainly one method, but it will probably save you a ton of time to only log what you currently have and what you're aiming to collect.

edit: A faster way you can try is to copy each of the tables (from each year) from Hot Wheels Wikia onto a spreadsheet (MS Excel, or even Google Drive spreadsheets). It will get a lot of the tedious repetitive work out of the way.

If you're a nut for data like me, I would bust out spreadsheets or databases and work with those. I'm already considering the idea of doing it all on MS Access but my main computer will always be a Mac, so I'm at a loss. :(

Took a quick look at it while inspecting for shipping damage. One of a kind 1/64 scale car. đź‘Ť.

Yeah, really is a good looking model. đź‘Ť Remember too, that one is...

Yeah, again it looks great. Forgot to ask too. What's the Dodge Monaco and Airstream like? Ordered that one off of the interwebs a couple of days ago. Looking forward to getting my hands on it.
Listen to the old person, Johnny. He forgets, so he knows.

Nope, not saying a word. :P

The Airstream alone is what makes the set, in my eyes. The Airstream is entirely metal too, unlike the trailer with the Bronco. The Monaco itself isn't too bad either. Looking at both pieces though, they'd fit in quite well with a campsite diorama.

Yeah, I wasn't aware of that the Airstream was metal until I went to order one. Deal maker right there. Was looking at the Impala too but I don't know, it just didn't grab me as much as the Monaco did.

They really would. đź‘Ť

I didn't notice it was metal until I was going through everything I got once I got back home.

The TRU I was in didn't have the Impala, otherwise I would've got it.
They really would. đź‘Ť
As would this:

@Nessy - I like nearly all of them, though that gold Rolls caught my eye almost immediately. đź‘Ť Which one's the red car on the far left?

Going to travel 40 miles into Phoenix to check a few stores. Hopefully the TRU stores have the Tow & Hitch cars.

Be right back. :P

Man...... I thought you were going to save so much in gas & time once you stopped collecting hot wheels......

Aaaaaaaand I'm back. Only one TRU had the T&H series, so I picked up the Bronco after much debate. Anyone want the trailer? I can also carefully remove the hitch from the Bronco and include it with the trailer so you can glue it to any car you want and make your own T&H set.

Also got the correct Charger in the mail from the messed up order. And as I suspected, the hood is screwy. The axles were also bent, and I slightly broke one of the wheels trying to fix it. Oops.

My aunty has a large collection of Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars (well, when I mean collection, I mean stored in a plastic box). Some of which are over 20 years old and are still in excellent condition. She purchased them for her kids (who have grown up) and I wish I could show some of them off...

Well I got to make my occasional trip to the Antique Mall today since my brother was off work. Got some decent vehicles, but nothing too exciting. I was mainly getting vehicles I had wanted for a while, but never bought due to finding other vehicles I wanted.

Blazin' Bug. I had seen this vehicle back in summer of 2012 when I went with my neighbor and had wanted it ever since. Finally I got it since I didn't really have anything else I wanted more. $10 (2nd most expensive vehicle I have ever bought)

^Pretty minty. A few small scuffs, marks and dust on the paint, but if I gently clean it with a wet cloth it should look pretty good. đź‘Ť

Power Plower. Another vehicle I had wanted since 2012. I nearly bought it back then, but I sat it back in favor of getting the orange '31 Doozie (Which I do not regret). I thought for sure it had been sold for quite some time, but after my recent visit with my dad I discovered it was still there. I almost got it again afterwards, but I would have broke my budget if I had bought it, so I set it aside again in favor of getting the Hot Wheels 100% sets and that Corgi Firebird (Obviously worth it). So now since I had fewer vehicles to worry about, I finally grabbed this sucker. $4.95

^Axles are bent and rusted. Paint is chipped in some places and tampos are pretty much gone. Snow plow is broken off and it is missing a light on top. Interior is knocked out of place and so is the windshield. Lastly the wheels are dirty. Yea this thing is just begging to be fixed!

Two Hot Wheels Racing Nascars Grand National Edtion for $2 each? What is the deal with Nascar vehicles being so cheap where I live?
IMG_1216.JPG

And a '93 Mustang simply because I couldn't resist the color. :P $1
IMG_1215.JPG

And of course as always, the receipt:

My normal budget is $20 and I try to make sure I NEVER breach it, but I did today. :scared: These are times where a collector shouldn't tell his parents how much he spent.......

But in the end I am satisified. :sly:

I got some cool findings I will post later. ;)

Sick grab on the Baja Bug. 1987 Real Riders Series. đź‘Ť It being the whit hub wheel variation is why it was $10. Though you might have been able to haggle for less due to its condition.

I may be confusing it with Racing Champions, but their value depreciated over time.

Thanks AOS-! :) The price tag was $12, but Jack gave it to me for $10 as the minimum. đź‘Ť

That would not surprise at all especially after getting those two today along with the Hydroplanes I got a while back, both of which where limited productions. I am still not complaining though! :D
