What do you mean, "before F&F ruined it"? Compared to the Mistubishi cereal boxes of the second movies, this car is cleaner than a wallet after Donald Trump took it to Las Vegas.

And I'd get one too, if any of the supermarkets in my area were actually selling diecast cars that is. Not even the place where my mother works has any HWs/Matchboxes/Wellys/whatever the heck in store. What the hell man, this ain't cool. :(

Also, come on Dr. @Nessy, you of all people being down? If anything, you deserve a pat on the back and a drink after such a good custom car. :)đź‘Ť Heck, you should still entertain that idea of a custom blister. It still took Mattel a long while before thinking of doing an Escort like that...

"Oh, look, an Escort like the one that Paul drives!" - Billy Everyteen, his friends, his father and his dog.

Any car that has appeared in a F&F movie is ruined for life.

Welp, guess that answers my question. Oh well, it's still a good car in my eyes. It just happened to be a F&F car...

Of course it's a good car, with massive rally and racing pedigree. Hot Wheels just did the disgusting thing, ignored all of that non-money-making crap, and released it as a TV car.

Oh well, business reality, can't really do anything about that. Let's just all enjoy this car for what we know about it and not the green that let to its promotion, shall we?

Problem is, you won't be enjoying this car at all because you won't find any, because OMFG TV CAR LETS RESELL.

It's horrible. Remember the "$15 and $200 a lot of 10" thing @AOS- mentioned? It's SO going to happen. Release it in rally livery? No one knows what it is, peg warmer.

Christ, that's astronomical, imagine when these things hit the auction sites, people will get even crazier with price tags... Guess that explains the same thing that happens with the "Seibu Keisatsu" line of TLV cars.

Normal Fairlady Z? Cheap-o peg warmer!

Seibu Fairlady Z? (Granted, they're incredibly pretty) Bring out the big bucks!

Bought 10 cars at the hobby shop. image.jpg

Thanks for the really kind words guys. đź‘Ť I guess i'm just a bit disappointed that i didn't finish it (and still haven't,btw) sooner. I will finish it but it does kinda take the wind out ya sails, if you know what i mean. I won't let that stop me though. :)

Just go for it, think of your project as a thanking gift to HW for actually doing an Escort for their line. And if you can get the HW Escort, you can put both together, just like brothers. I'd say that's pretty cool, no? And fitting, too. :)đź‘Ť

Nice image on the Kyosho Bentley Continental GT3 on T-Hunted. So much want for obvious reasons.

Now where did I put my pants? I have the feeling that I lost them somewhere... Maybe it happened after seeing a picture of a Bentley scale model, I dunno. Man, I'd better search for them.

And perhaps I should search for the car too because goddang, it is great. Curse you Kyosho, not you too! I already have enough issues with Tomica over their great products, the last (it's actually the first) thing I need are more amazing cars.

Stopped by Walmart to pick up a couple of cars: '15 Mustang, 911 GT3, and TR6.

Triumph from a Mystery Model bag.

Mustang casting is decent but I don't really dig the tampo.

911 GT3. Again, good enough casting but the problem here is the headlight tampo placement. The car looks a little "derpy" with the misplaced headlights.

Thinking it might do me good to cut the Hot Wheels 911 GT3 loose.

When's a good time to unleash another Skyline?

Jeez mate. Again,!!
Already done. :P

I woke up at midnight for some reason last night. Looked at diecasts online for couple of hours waiting to get tired enough to go back to sleep. They are really cool for the money. You'll see!
Gutted i wasted my time on that Datsun 510 custom.
You should be......... That is the worst 510 custom I've ever seen.

It would've made one sweet custom Escort though. :P

Oh, don't be such a drama queen. Paul Walker Escort is awesome, and if you are getting serious about it, you are doing it wrong!

Wakes up in the middle of the night, buys models online. Only you Shinji.

Got no doubt about that. đź‘Ť

C'mon, we love him when he's a drama queen.
I'll side with you on this and fight him - yeah - Paul is a-w-esome! There!

:mischievous:

Also - hey - shopping as a midnight snack?
What are you? Independently wealthy?

Talking about the TV cars - the idea is good - it's just that HW isn't geared for that kind of quality.
Then again - there is another side to that collectivity - I was looking at my Batman collection in HW yesterday, and then came across this 5-pack, and you know - the vehicles have a certain 'schtick' - a certain collectibility that has nothing to do with build-quality but with novelty. Hopefully leading to rarity that adds to the collectibility.

And then there are cars like these - which are not from the TV but, well - connected.

@Apok - playing with boxes again? You know a6m5 frowns on activity like that. Use the tow trucks.
Also - I bet I have more boats than you. Wanna count?

Fancy some McLarens? Costing an arm and a leg... each.

Been finding $9-15 listings these days. They don't seem to be too hot right now..

Ah yes, the car is pretty damn awesome. It's the unavoidable movie reference the thing that's incredibly uncool. Refer to 69 Charger for another example of this.

Also, I want them Combis.

Damn online stores with their 24-hour ways.....

They were something I also looked at last year & liked. Perhaps the discipline was little bit weaker so late in the evening. :P

I know, I know. We wouldn't want it any other way. :lol:đź‘Ť
Is it me or is the Chicane TH really common. I've seen a ton of them since I got mine.
I had to google it. It looks like a great track car. If I ever see it, I'd buy it. Track cars are all I buy anymore, as far as mainline cars go.

I can agree to disagree, but you are wrong. j/k lol

Ditto on the Buses. That camper.

Leave that sushi alone. It's making you randy.
You are so right about the 24 hour shopping. I was looking at a pile of fruit on the table the other day and wondering how it would have been a long time ago, so little variety, and not so abundant and as easy to procure as strolling through a grocery supermarket. As Jarrod just said - convenience.
To have 24 hour online shopping - and delivery to one's doorstep - is gratification at its most avaricious. How can we resist?
More importantly, though - why should we resist?

I know, I know. We wouldn't want it any other way. :lol:đź‘Ť

Getting old and tired, I guess, not a lot of huffing and puffing from him, lately.
It's only when someone new comes in and riles him up. :dopey:

BTW - I know you like bikes on vehicles - but this bike needs a lot of work; I'm sure you will be more amused than impressed:

Bought my first 'Guisval' off ebay a few days ago, along with a few 'Corgi' Jag XJS/XJ6's (no pics of the Corgi's, camera battery needs a charge).

It's in not too bad condition, apart from the obvious missing door.. I'm going to try and fill the gap with some milliput once iv'e stripped it, and repaint it in British racing green. The scale is quite deceptive IRL, i was expecting it to be bigger, but i'd say it's spot-on 1/64, which should hopefully go well with my custom Porsche 911 TLV (when iv'e finished it).

Guisval Jaguar XJ12c :

I'd like to try and get it looking like this:

Also those GL VW's. Nice.
Speaking of...... Breaking Bad RV should be coming up soon, no? :embarrassed:

P.S. Did you catch the Esurance Super Bowl commercial with Walter White? That & their Lindsay Lohan one took the cake!

I'm impressed how they made it amusing. đź‘Ť Matchbox, right? Nice touch!

It surely won't get the doors blown off anymore! :D
