Need to gather some funds first.

The first of the two Aston Martins that I bought for this week - Suntory Boss Coffee 007 James Bond Collection: Aston Martin V8 Vantage:

And also, along with that Vanquish, there are also other new Kyoshos in that store too, mostly Subarus (fancy a dark green Alcyone SVX?) and the recent Toyota boxset models.

I have a store like that nearby - he gets lots of odd stuff, comes and goes, no consistent supply of anything. Git a nice Veyron and Ferrari 1:43 remote-controlled cars once. Never gets die-casts, though, though i've told him many times to source some.

Went out to the Dollarama today and got this off Andy. He turned up his nose but I said it was for my nephew.

Probably won't buy anything until K day then I'll go to the hobby shop after K day since I don't have to work that Saturday.

See, I had taken that RX-7 and hid it somewhere else in the store. This guy managed to sniff it out anyway so it totally caught me off guard. Hmmph.

To think, I was out looking for the Citroen DS3 lineup, and ended up skipping two of them for really good prices. The DS3 is an attractive modern rally car right now, but I haven't seen one photo with an attractive shot of the Norev casting's front bumper. There's several cool liveries, but if I'm learning from my mistakes, I can't let that alone overrule casting quality.

Yeah, I've seen the bumper, and the front grill which is a solid block was an instant turnoff.

It's amazing the good finds that are occasionally found in the Dollarama stores. Quite often I'll find something I was looking for and couldn't get from one of the big boxes. I don't like the mark-up, though - I can get the same stuff - if found at the big-boxes - for a lot less.

I agree. The mark up isn't so bad though. It's either going to be $1.25 or $1.50. Considering the major competition (Walmart) has them for $1.37, Dollarama likely couldn't go any lower, because Walmart and how low they can go with their prices. About 2 years ago, it was $2 per. Now that was questionable pricing.

Update on the Vanquish. Just got it hours after the reservation, after I was able to meet up with buyers of some of my extra Kyoshos I put up on sale last week.

At least I didn't go through the day broke and hungry.

And I did a quick wheel swap on it.

Not a day after I said I wouldn't find the C-3PO and R2-D2 character cars, I found them at the Walmart near my work. :P

The end of this month needs to come sooner, can't wait for the Nismo GT-R's.
