When did Matchbox say they were making a Cherokee?
IMG_5335.jpg

I hate it, not a fan of it in real life (9-speed transmission is awful). And yet, I want it just because I work at a Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge dealership.

Also...I hope they release the F-Type Coupe in BRG. :D

I hate that Cherokee in full size, but I might just have to have the MBX version.

And I'm all over that F-Type like white on rice.

omg.

Dat F-Type.....

...has too thick of a base! If we were to shave the lip to something closer to a 0.5mm thickness, front and side, that would be nearly spot-on.

:(

To picture what I'm seeing more easily, imagine that casting without the base, and match it with a photo of the 1:1.

:banghead:

You know .I hear nothing but hate for this Cherokee. In real and small form. But I like it. Something about it is cool to me. As for the jag.. long live the f type!

Holy heck, it's like a game of Top Trumps! The only car cards I have belong to my HW Tesla Model S (the black one with green stripes) and my 1/43 Corgi Peugeot 309 GTI, so I lost this battle already... :nervous:

But seriously, good set of cards you have there, @AOS- and @RCKakashi14, I'd glady "borrow" a few from both of you. 👍

Would 3D printing a car model to the size of a Matchbox car be a terrible idea?
If you saw the recent prototypes that Lamely posted for the 2016 Matchbox models, most of them were 3D printed. This is good for them now since they can literally whip up a prototype in no time flat.

Tough call. I'll take both. :)

Ho!

That's bigger than my stash of Kyosho and CM's boxes.

What do you plan to do with that anyhow?

That's not even all of it - just grabbed a few boxes and shot it a few minutes before posting wanting to join in the card-waving contest.
Many are kept merely as reference - for checking the illustration or for the information on the card, some are kept as artistic works, some because of their rarity (very old cards) and some just for turning into artistic works; from coasters to posters.
One is only limited by their imaginations.
Package cards are not to be treated the same as collector cards within the packages, though, like the ones you and Kakashi were showing off; they have a bit more value, and definitely treated as collectibles in their own right.
Like Hockey cards some collect only those cards, and some Swap Shops sell them, too.

It does look squashed (and the wheels just slightly too big? Or just the look of the rims?); the silver one looks more replica.
Did you ever manage to get any of the new HW Porsche series? Probably not easy to find on a peg over there, eh?

Thank you for taking the comparison shots. I wanted to get the green one the day I learned of it, but I can clearly see the forms look comparably more sloppier than the newer casting. I'll have pics of mine up here some day.

some Swap Shops sell them, too.
Speaking of, I had looked up the place called Swap Shop ever since you mentioned it, and while it has mixed reviews, there have been some mentioning bad experiences of being ripped off. You aware of this?
