Never been overly big on the Cool One myself but the Super Mario livery looks pretty sweet.
That's literally the only reason I'll buy it. And it might stay in the package for once.
Moving on.
Matchbox has just made me a very very happy manchild..

Yes ladies and gentlemen-childs that is a Jaguar F-type and holy mother of cars is it awesome. I want... Every single one hahaha. I adore the F-type ever since I first saw it. I have to find this and every color after

That certainly makes up for the disappointment I felt from the recent Porsche Cayman release. Doubt this one will be around these parts anytime soon, most of the stores in my area have little to no MB on the pegs and they're all old stock.

A Jaguar F-Type Coupe, with no "uplifiting chin"? Yes please, I would like to have a million of those if you could provide them. And as a fellow fan of the F-Type, I couldn't agree with you more; this is a great set of news, especially when the model in question deals with the most beautiful variation (in my sincerely honest opinion) with some degree of quality to it. 👍

If only there was some proper place to find new Matchbox releases in the area where I live... The quirks of living in a small(ish) city in the North of Portugal.

Yo!!! Another 2000GT?! About time, Mattel!

I bloody hate Cool One. Any version. Hate hate hate.

Video games + Cool One = AWESOME!

I will admit it's not that cool of a casting, but heck, I'll take it since I already collect them. :D

At first I thought these were new wheels, but then realized they are just the flat wheels they have used in the past with decals on them. Gets it pretty close to accurate. 👍

I am alllll over that Torino

Finally found a pic of the upcoming Tomica Suzuki Alto's. I've been stalking AmiAmi at least twice everyday for the past month in the hope of catching at least one when they become available for pre-order. Still waiting.

Oh and new TLV pre-orders are up. Even more GT-R's and a couple of Nissan Leopard's.
ALTOOOOOOO <3

Man, you're addicted to Altos or something? I've never seen someone so eager to get their hands on a basic line Tomica, haha. That being said, it's nice, although it won't set the scale model world on fire by any means.

Those TLV preorders though, ooh that's the good stuff. Despite not being the number one fan of R35 GT-Rs, the 45th anniversary should be an interesting buy, mainly due to its unique gold color. Call it distasteful, call it over-the-top if you must, but still, it's a variation worth having. And those Leopards are something to behold, they are going to be nice-looking models themselves. Although I have to ask; the heck is "Abunai Deka"? Another Japanese TV cop show that I do not know of, along the lines of Seibu Keisatsu?

Basic Tomica's sell out ridiculously fast on AmiAmi. Knowing my luck if I didn't check the site regularly, they'll sell out before I even see the listing, it's happened before. :indiff: And the Alto itself, I can't really explain why I like the car so much. Something just draws me to it. :embarrassed: And yes, the model isn't great by any means, most basic Tomica's aren't. Doesn't stop me really wanting one though!

Yeah, that's the one I went for. Wasn't really interested at first but considering that it is the 45th anniversary one, figured it would be one worth having.

It could be? I have no idea honestly.

Well, that's a bit surprising to hear, to be honest. I wasn't expecting to know that basic Tomicas can sell out quickly on AmiAmi, I assumed that they would be the last cars to become "out of stock" when it comes to Tomica cars. Guess I underestimated the basic Tomica's capability to impress... :boggled: And I guess that the Alto is somewhat of a guilty pleasure which you approve highly of, really. Nothing wrong there, I am a fan of Kei cars as well. 👍

Well, it is the one with the best potential to be a future collector's item, if that makes any sense. The color and the 45th Anniversary tag set it apart from the rest of TLV's R35 models. So, in essence, it might be worth a pretty penny if all goes well...

It could be? I have no idea honestly.

Well, time to bust out the encyclopedia!

And by "encyclopedia" I obviously mean Google, of course.

Yeah, it's weird. Basic Tomica's, Tomica Premium and basic Choro-Q's tend to sell out really quickly. Thankfully TLV's don't suffer from the same fate (If they did, I don't know what I'd do! :nervous:). The only TLV's I've seen so far sell out before they were released, were the first batch of GT-R's they did earlier this year? Those went pretty quickly.

I have a hypotension. I mean hypocrisy. Arggh hypothesiis!!.
Theory.. call it what you will.

Tomica basic, while not as impressive or nice as Tlv or others, still are generally good, from what I've seen, better than hot wheels at least. And considering they're usually a lower price, they probably sell faster, since they're less strain on the wallet of the average Joe.

Guess it'll take a few months before that Alto hits the major toy stores. Thank goodness we have a local Tomica distributor here in the Philippines. Though it doesn't handle TLVs.

Well, I'll be darned... So the "lesser" Tomicas sell out before the top-notch stuff does? And the only TLVs which have sold out so far this year were the R35 Nismos (those were the first batch, right)? Wow, guess I'll have to keep my eyes peeled and act quickly in order to get a Tomica/Tomica Premium/Choro-Q car. And thank god for TLV cars not becoming "out of stock" quickly, that gives folks like me a chance in case they can take it later.

And I noticed the Choro-Q Seibu Keisatsu cars... Lord, those have to be some of the cutest police cars I've ever seen.

Obviously.👍!

"Google is the answer", as they say.👍

^ The old cars haven't hit mainstream yet thankfully.

God bless lack of mainstream, keeps things under the radar and not so costly to undertake.

life clearly doesn't want me to adult today

'sigged.

Oh jeez, a TLV AZ-1 would just be about the most coolest thing ever.

Fixed.

I always find the Kyosho 991s to be a little iffy looking. They look like they're made of jelly, they're all blobby and unrefined in their moulding, and they always seem to go full donk with the wheels. It looks more like a caricature at times.
It's just that the paint is too thick.

The only thing I don't like about this casting is the black roof. The hardtop roof is one of the California's best assets, IMO. But painting it black kills it. There are two Kyosho Original variants of this model, with the roof in the same color as the rest of the car, but I'm sure they are too rich for my blood...

So I went to Northern Colorado's first annual ComicCon yesterday. Didn't have that much fun. But my buddy was selling something kinda cool. Matchbox catalogs from 1968 to 1977, missing only 1971. I got them all for $15.
