So I went to Northern Colorado's first annual ComicCon yesterday. Didn't have that much fun. But my buddy was selling something kinda cool. Matchbox catalogs from 1968 to 1977, missing only 1971. I got them all for $15.

Coolest post in this thread in quiiiiite a while, dude đź‘Ť very awesome.

What I picked up from Sandown:

And as a bonus, here is the '96 Bathurst Commodore run by HRT:

The Biante models are sensational. I really miss them in the modern era:(

Speaking of Matchbox, I came across some new cars at Walmart yesterday. I was right about the Porsche Cayman, looked goofy to me in person so I passed on it. There was a Lambo LM002 which I almost bought, but passed instead. Just walked away with the BMW M5 police car.

Maybe I shouldn't have brought my Greenlights in for display on my desk at work. The general manager came in and took all of them, since some kid was crying. Should have told him to take the 1/24's instead. :grumpy:

Didn't even ask? :odd:

I have some cars on my desk and every so often someone likes to move them around on me. Ticks me off every time.

Nope... As I was coming back to the office, saw him rushing out with them saying "I've got a kid bawling in the showroom! I need these!" Can't wait for the kid to shove them in his mouth or something. The 1/24's would have been more appropriate.

Luckily he didn't take my Tow&Hitch Ram with SRT trailer.

I get co-workers who come into my office and push the cars back and forth smashing them together quite often, when they're asking me for help.

You have more patience than I do.

There's some good stuff, Especially the Raptor, Escort and 240sx. Also the Porsche Rsr. I like the willys they have too, though not as much. For a fantasy model I have passing interest in the hi-roller

I'd personally take the Aventador, the Raptor, and maybe the 180SX/240Z duo. The Nissan cars are tuned versions, yes, but they seem like the tasteful kind of tuned versions, which brings their stock up a bit. The Firebird would be an interesting purchase as well, although I am not a fan of red body + orange-ish Flaming Chicken decals.

Also, all that Escort is missing is a yellow stripe of some description and you could have a Portuguese-centric Escort, haha.

Love that red Escort and 240Z.

Actually found a 1st edition Escort yesterday (yes, it's taken that long..). I may actually make the effort to collect the other colours.

Oh, that Transit is straight-up awesome too.
