No, apparently it's a site problem; Jordan stated in one thread that something happened during a techincal switch which broke the image uploading process. Hopefully it should be fixed, but for the time being, thanks for the link.

Those aren't bad cars, while I am not a huge Mario fan, I'm really digging that Super Mario Bros. (the original game, mind you) livery. The whole "8-bit look" gimmick looks good.

Oh dang. Well I hope it's fixed soon.

Yea I really like that one, and just because Mario kart was my thing way back I want that one. I'm not much for pop culture, but I'll probably get one of each of them, just cause it combines my love of video games and cars. Something I noticed, usually when pop cultures come out, it's mostly real cars and a couple fantasy cars, this one is all fantasy save for the t1 bus. Hmm

He did say it shouldn't take too long, so let's wait and see.

As for the Mario thing, I'm sure everyone will have their favorite car based on their Super Mario experience. I don't have that much Mario experience myself, so I'll just go for personal preference when it comes to the cars' designs. And it is interesting that almost all Mario cars will be Fantasy models, I guess Mattel choose to do so in order to spice things up in variety terms.

There's two Cool Ones with Mario livery. TOO COOL.

I'm securing one right meow.

Also secured this just meow.

2015 007 Casino Royale Aston Martin DBS.

There was also the Esprit, '71 Mustang Mach, and DB5. Seems even South Texas doesn't have record of this yet, but I'm speculating it's the previous 007 Retro Entertainment with mainline wheels:

Both had no tail light tampos.

How's it compare to the First Editions?

edit take 2: This page has been 100% grey cars so far. Who will be the first to goof this up?

Holy black on a mr popo You didn't mention the brand new spanking Wheels, it has a stretched tire setup, and based on old school japanese deep dish wheels... and it's mainline.. i'm going to buy 5 RX3's for customs, and 30 just for the damn new wheels those things are ungodly sexy!

That detail..just wow. Hotwheels castings are ridiculous for a 1.00$

All I've hauled in less than 24 hours. $1 each here (normally $2-3). Bought duplicates mainly to prevent scalping. Not selling any.

I have the Matchbox Tesla Model S too. The Hot Wheels ones are a pathetic casting compared to the Matchbox.

The 180sx though is a phenomenally good casting, especially for Hot Wheels. The base is one of the most detailed I've ever seen.

Who needs Wheel Collectors hahahah

They were all sold out by the time I noticed them. Little bit too pricey for me anyway.
They are a bit too pricey, but dang they have models that even Kyosho doesn't have.

But on that note of price, I've been looking at Ignition and AutoARTs of the 1/18 scale and I was about ready to convert. I'm almost out of plastic cases for the loose cars and don't really want to order more. There's a whole bunch of Minichamps and Kyosho Beads I can probably live without.

Maybe I'll work on a big sale for next year.

Edit 6 hours later:

TINY made this Lego-like clear case for 1/64s some time ago and thought I'd share it:

TINY also makes a bunch of neat diorama pieces for 1/64 scale.

Well, I'm late to do so, but I finally got the yellow M4 Coupe along with my first Supra and some other ones. This is my first time uploading pictures with my new digital camera. I don't think I have the hang of it yet.

Just ordered both versions of the Tomica Suzuki Alto on AmiAmi. Colour me happy. Tomica premium Countach and VW Type II pickup are both unsurprisingly sold out though. Meh.

Had a decent one-sided chat with a scalper at a flea market today. Despite him finding connections to pick through cases, he's not very knowledgeable about reasonable prices.

Guy has consigned goods, and is selling USS Enterprise ships for $38 and is hoping some looney will want to buy that as a gift for their kid (or someone's kid).

I won't knock him for trying to make cash on the side, I just think his method isn't very effective. He acquires a lot of his goods off someone who works in retail. The guy in retail makes a bit of money off him by charging $2-3, which explains why he's charging $5 for a basic mainline. Of course I didn't say anything to the guy, but instead I will see if I can sell off some of my carded goods to him to reduce my inventory.

Unfortunately guys like him are taking over the hobby and the reason why I got out of collecting anything even remotely popular, especially when it comes to Hot Wheels. It's a shame they ruined the fun, so many good cars that I refuse to collect because I can't find them in my area and am seemingly forced into purchasing them from said hobby ruiner for an outrageous markup. So far collecting cars that retail for $5-6 has been cheaper.

I think the guys who know their stuff are the real ones ruining the party. People like the merchant I spoke to are like the followers of the trend. He just grabs whatever he "thinks" will sell. He's not doing research; he's just guessing. People like him are going to end up with a bunch of junk he won't be able to get rid of so while they may hog some of the nicer models, they're at least contributing to clearing the pegs so that local stores can order future cases.

But in any case, this scalping business doesn't affect me a whole lot given the decreased interest in the popular models. The declining casting quality of their products also serve as a catalyst to this movement. Even if he charged $5 per item, I probably would've paid him that amount if I found something I really wanted. Beats online shopping!

------

On the flip side, bidding on popular Kyoshos is conceptually the same as bidding on popular Hot Wheels anyway. However, I somehow don't feel as bad paying $20 for a $10 car versus paying $3-5 for a $1 car. Maybe it has to do with the fact they can't be found locally in North America.

------

After looking at 2 CMC models, I've confirmed I am dropping my entire TLV wishlist and aim to acquire a single CMC in 6 years from now.

I got a few Hot Wheels cars while on holiday, including a Nissan 180SX, Cadillac Elmiraj, Acura NSX and a Subaru Brat. Will put picks up tomorrow.
