Here's my latest acquisition:

Peugeot Exalt concept. Made by Norev, which is pretty good for French cars (I've got a Peugeot 308 and Renault Zoe by them too).

Here's the real thing, for reference:

Nice, very nice. Norev does have quite a few Peugeot concepts, both in 1:64 and in larger scales, which is a good thing for people who are fans of the brand. But most French brands are well-represented within Norev's range of models, so it's not just a brand thing.

As for the car itself, it's a shame that the paint doesn't quite have the same shine and "metallic sculpture" aspect as the real thing, but the overall proportions look pretty darn nice and accurate to me. It's a nice acquisition, and a good model as well. I hope that one day I can find a model of the new 308, I am a fan of that model and having a scale version would be a great thing for someone like me (regardless of what people think of Peugeot's coolness, or lackthere of).

I think the best way to get the right finish may well be to sand the paint off the silver section, but to be honest I'm happy enough with it as it is.

The new 308 is the one I have. If you excuse the Instagram filter (I'm a bit subtler with them now...), it's a nice enough little model:

Gonna have to get the challenger, polara and mustang

I'm not so sure about it to be honest. Getting the same vibe I got from the recent Cayman release, just doesn't look right to me. I know Matchbox is trying to get back to making more licensed vehicles, but it's not going so well.

Side windows are too small, doorline is too high. Like a 300C actually is in real life. Except the Skyline shouldn't be.

EDIT: I just did this quick overlay of a real KPGC10 and the Matchbox.

Woo. Finally found the Elmiraj, the BRAT and a TH!

Didn't buy a single one. (sticks out tongue).

What activity!

You wouldn't know it, but I have 74 HW Shelby Cobras (minus the one the seller broke)!

$_57.JPG

And that's not even complete yet! There's still about 12 others I haven't yet found!
Go home @AOS- , you're drunk. On snake venom, that is

Well, seeing as how long I've put off the search for Cobras, I may not resume it any longer.

About a year or two ago, I was promised many rare variations of older cars (Cobra 427 included), but that seller unexpectedly cut all communication one day, so I lost out about 3 Cobras there. Plastic base, unpainted base, 5SP variations, etc..

The Mexico and Caroll Shelby birthday ones I have no hope of ever finding. I will be more than glad to admit I was extremely lucky I found the "first editions" Cobra, and from an ignorant seller on top of that!

@Cano, I still have CM's cars I'll be getting rid of, along with a ton of disassembled cars. Are you... in?

Yea more toys for my money. Even though I'm trying to save up to go to California next year for Monterrey car week.

Those "Car Culture" cars have potential, and they are good-looking models at that. Should be interesting to see...

In the meantime, here's a little teaser for something which I bought today at Autoclassico;

Daddy's got something rather special... :sly:

Yeah thread has been pretty dead lately. That 76 car is cool.

Either that or people are a tad bit busy and can't really get around to post here often. One of the two... Also, there isn't exactly a 1976 car, unless you are actually referring to the 1977 car (the one with the wire wheels), but yes, it is pretty nice despite the strange stance it has (see the pictures' post for possible explanation of that).

The one with 76 on it lol

Oh, the 'Vette, derp'd. I thought you were alluding to one of the Firebirds, haha. :dunce::lol: It is pretty neat indeed, but that's actually not a 1:64 scale model; rather, it's a TSM Model 1:43 Chevrolet Corvette, I posted better pictures of it on the Scale Model thread (the non-1:64 thread, that is).
