I like he's got a large variety of brands. I must say, I think people who sit stuff really high up should tilt the shelves so you can at least see more of the car.

Wonder what his salary is like.

"Why someone would spend all this money on the toys and not the real thing? Um, but when you really look at it from the perspective from a hardcore car guy, there's a 100 cars out there I wish I could own, but at the end of the day I can own them all in scale. I can have every single car I could ever want."

I agree with this notion. I think that's the mentality most of us come into the hobby with.

Though, if I won the lotto, I wouldn't still be all about collecting. I'd be playing music.

If I won the lotto, I would open my own diecast shop.

After going on an epic year long road trip and building a house with a racetrack in the back yard, of course. :P

Definitely what my answer is to people who ask me why I collect scale models. What's another way I could own a IDX Nismo and 2000GT at the same time. :D (For example)

Trust me, as someone who's also collected 1:1 scale cars, it's the care and feeding that will get you every time. Storage is the number one hassle/expense, with insurance, registration, gas and maintenance all picking your pocket at the same time as well. And that's per car...

There were a couple of bins at the end of the diecast aisle today at Walmart. So, I ended up buying a lot of them and 2 matchboxes. I have 2 Lotus Esprits because I bought the 2nd one on accident.
I don't feel like returning it, so I'll just keep it and sell it to someone later on.

I don't understand why they would re-release old castings and put them on the same old packaging. I mean, sure nostalgia, but do something new with it...

I'm actually surprised that I was able to get all of the 007 hotwheels cars. I had better luck with them than the fast & furious ones. The only F&F cars I got were the Fast 5 Challenger & Charger, then the Fast 6 Escort.

Seems like Twinduction has settled in as another member to the fantasy car roster. :D

Like the Fast 4WD, they will be retailer buff exclusives.

I've had plans for wheelswaps on these two for the longest time, but it only took this long to acquire them because they just refused to appear on local pegs. Bastards.

Toyota S-FR concept anyone? Will be part of the Tomica Premium line. (I still feel like I should get one)

Well that was quick, Tomica, good god. The car isn't even a month old!

But that aside, it looks nice enough, and it's an unique casting if anything. Of course, that "gaping mouth" front end looks even worse without a license plate in the middle, which is rather unfortunate. And painted black headlights? That touch is also a bit awkward, in my honest opinion.

Initially, I thought (and hoping!) that the windshield can be taken off, since most X-Bows don't have them anyway. I would understand though, since SIKU chose the GT model instead of the R or the RR trim.
I bought a second one with that in mind too. Extraction of the orange dude is also a good look.
