I do plan on getting the BRE one though

I forgot all about that one. Hopefully it's better than the Gulf version.

Have you seen the limited ADVAN GT-R they're doing too? It comes with a box! :dopey:

Edit: Scratch that. Just noticed you've already commented on it.

In Croatia the HW cases arrive a bit later, so i still didn't see a Ford GT.
But man i want to see that Futurismo. In a simple colour and a black base it could look very good.
And that Blade Raider looks cool too.

Toyota Cresta coming to TLV!

Pre orders are out on amiami. Now...which color...

Flipping thievery, man. Not cool. 👎

*ahem* After seeing the pics other's been posting, I had to order this today:

Much, much cooler than I thought it was gonna be.

While thinking about that, I tracked couple of shipments I had coming from Japan & it seems I have thirteen cars waiting for me at the post office:

Ten cars from Japan Booster.

Three cars from AmiAmi.

I have just one day off this weekend, too. It should be interesting.

The Monte Carlo had a standard moonroof, something the old casting lacked, so one had to be painted on. Not up to the usual TLV standard.

EDIT: And as a bonus, it's far too large compared to the real thing.

Yes! 👍

My enthusiasm for the model just took a big hit after seeing that. Man, that looks so weak.

I just preordered these. I've been wanting lowered blue Civic with black/gunmetal rims for sometime. I thought I was finally getting one, but the blue is toy show exclusive(:(). Others were still nice!

My only concern: I've bought from this store twice before. One came with blemished stand/base, and the other came with messed up box. If they mess this up, I don't care if they get TLVs for $1, this will be my last order from them!
seen these pop up on ebay this week. I assume they arnt in stores yet?
None of us has seen it yet. I'll probably never see it in person until I hit eBay.

I'm not too worried about it..... yet. More worried about the paint right now. I found another pic & they look terrible!

Not had much luck lately with models in my area. They don't just seem to want to get any orders of Hotwheels in. I mean I've been to the same shop for the past two months and they have had the same one car on the shelf. Anyway a holiday to France was a welcome way to get some new models into my collection.

Finding the Ford GT and Focus RS was the best as the lady in the shop kindly brought out a case that had just been delivered and asked if I wanted a look through it before she tipped it into a dumb bin. The escorts I never believed I was going to get unless I went on the dreaded Ebay but thankfully there were enough there for me to have one of each and so can my dad. The Datsun, Tesla and RS 01 were all found in a small dump bin sat right at the bottom but the remaining cars were the mysterious ones.

After looking through all the Hotwheels this shop had on the pegs and in a relatively small dump bin I walked down the aisle to go and get some other things. As I walked past the Lego, I saw a nice looking set so I picked it up off the shelf but to my surprise there was a small shoe box at the back. I thought that's odd so I reached in and pulled it out. Inside wrapped up in the tissue paper that shoes would normally come in were a few Hotwheels. I picked out the Mini Van, Acura NSX, Mazda MX5 and Aston Martin DB11 but there were others including 2 more Ford GT, Tesla and another car that was an old model. I can only think that a shop attendant put these back for someone and told them where they were. Unfortunately for them I put the other cars on the front of the pegs and put the shoe box back in the same place but this time completely empty.

That's taking "I'll hide these until I can come back with some money" to a whole new level.

Those Civics look terrible IMO. Not worth $17.
Lemme go look again. Didn't think it was TLV level or anything, but I thought it looked pretty good.....

.....OK I'm back. I think it looks decent, but definitely see where you are coming from. Quality itself is worth maybe about $10~$12 to me? Add to that, Civics I want are lowered & riced out, it's worth the money for me. Sweet bonuses really are the race liveries, especially the Idemitsu car!
Grab the other one and paint it that colour. :sly:
I settled for the red w/black hood & some race livery ones. I'll consider painting one after I get started on wheelswaps.

To me they look like a Greenlight with bad QC. The wheel fitment is what turns me off the most.

you mean to say you still haven't started on that?

I was under the impression you already began.
If I say wheelswap, it's a code word for on-hold indefinitely.

Wheel thing I can see? Based just on parts used, to me, "Tarmac" Civic seem lot closer to other premium Japanese brands(actually have no idea who Tarmac is). GreenLight rely a lot on bad paint job where more premium brands use plastic/resin parts, so personally, I would rank GreenLight lower than Tarmac from what I've seen so far.

Blue Civic from Lamley did kinda remind me of something like Jada cars with Japanese manufacturing? That kinda clumsy overall style, like they are trying too hard.... but with Kyosho type assembly. Bit different than anything I'm used to.

I wish they'd go with these wheels on the Idemitsu Civic:

Sample image shows black rims, but I'm hoping that doesn't mean anything. :dopey:
Got these two five packs and an M4 today.
I've had the Matchbox set in my hand more than once, but I always put it back(trying to downsize my collection). Very sweet set. Oh, and Kool Kombi.👍

I was just looking at those earlier. All the racecar liveries are awesome but personally I think the prices are a little on the steep side.

Cool scores though. 👍

Finally picked this up on my way home. All caught up on the colors now. (not my pic because lazy)
With resin headlamps, or better paint job, AutoWorld Mustangs would've been amazing. I so wish they get rid of the opening hood for cars like this & just spend more on detailing.

Like I was telling Jason, it's the sweet spot this Civic hits for me personally. When I saw Lamley post of that blue Civic, you know what I saw? I don't know if you remember this, but I've posted this guy on here a couple of times:

This is from eBay auction, loooong before we started collecting TLVs. We even followed the auction in this thread, I think it went for little over $60? It seemed crazy then, it makes total sense to some of us now. I'd KILL to have this Civic for $65 or whatever. Anywho, granted, Tarmac is not TLV, but it's style Tarmac Civics represent that made me commit about $20 per car(shipped), four cars total. I preordered(pics are of 1/18).....

And I just realized that Idemitsu do have black rims. Great.

I'd say the headlights and the wheels may need work, but the rest of the car is pretty good. In fact, I think Auto World has the best paint quality out there for their price range.

AutoWorld reminds me of lot of things GreenLight needs to be. I'm a fan. 👍

Edit: If anybody's curious about the Kyosho NISMO 400R:

For the price, I think Kyosho did a hell of a job.

Actually I did immediately think of that one when you mentioned that you've been wanting a lowered blue civic for sometime. That's still one of the coolest modified TLV's I've seen. 👍

Nah dude, the black rims rock. They go perfectly with that Idemitsu livery, imo.
