For some reason, the rest of the pics of the Honda won't load. Here's a link instead.

Dang Jarrod. Putting the light directly in front really brought out the plastic in the DR30's wheels!

But that Panda is cool though. Pandamnnnnnnn

The Panda is the first TLV casting where it seems to me they got the basic shape wrong. The C-pillars and hatch on the model are slanted too far forward and make it look like a Renault 5. It's funny, because the Panda rendering on the box is dead on, while the car inside looks nothing like it.

Very sharp looking. 👍
TLV Fiat Panda
Looks amazing. Maybe I should've bought one. *sweat rolls down*
TLV Honda Civic
Fail. So much fail. It's CR-X, or Civic Renaissance X, everybody knows that. Plus the car looks old, it looks like one of the old castings I have.... wait. I have had that. For sometime. I do like the color. :P
Tomica Premium Nissan Skyline
TLV-like, don't you think? Very cool.
Tomica Toyota 86
Pork Chop Sandwiches. j/k It's okay. :D

It looks pretty close to me? But I've never seen the real car, so I don't know. I might order the hardtop this month. Maybe.

P.S. What did you think about the new $70(discounted, amiami price) buses?
Same could be said about how hot the Hot Wheels look on paper compared to the physical thing. :(
$1, Andy. $1.

$1 a lot of monay! That $1 can buy you anything at the dollar store! That's some mighty purchasing power! But no, not even the casting quality, I mean like some of those fantasy cars look super aggressive, and then the real thing is more tame than unsalted butter.

Speaking of purchasing power, you guys may or may not be excited to know that HobbySearch is having another round of Bargain Sales very soon, and I saw a TLV service truck for 840 yen. Looked like something you'd find for $23 USD on Japan Booster.

Don't worry, I'm an idiot. :dunce:

I'd say, looking at the box after what @GroupB said. It's definitely noticeable now that the c-pillar on the actual model is slanted more, than the artwork on the box. Weird.

Casting is really nice, though.

Why don't you open yours and tell me? :P

I get you, but that's been a general standard in toy industry forever.

Are they the one that doesn't ship overseas?

I'm kidding.

Okay. 👍

It looks way more attractive than I imagined.

This one I did see coming. I'll open mine soon. I've only had it for like a week. I think.

TLV. C-pillar is too narrow and canted too far forwards.

Real Pandas. The thick, upright C-pillar gives it a totally different look, almost Soviet or Eastern European.

TLV model is way off IMO. I'd like to see it without the black accent paint around the quarter windows. That is way too prominent and may change the perception.

I had a friend from kindergarten through highschool whose parents had a Panda of that bodyshape and yeah the TLV proportions are noticeably inaccurate.

Looking at the pics, black trim/moulding stuff around the windows caught my eye as well. Just about expectedly, they look too wide.

I went to Walmart to see if they had anything new and they did. Well, there were actually a few more Gran Turismo hotwheels, but they were about $5.50 per car. I just bought these 2 with the LM002 for now.

I'm perfectly calm just stating that it is horribly inaccurate which is the sorta thing you normally complain about.

Yeah and I is enacting you guys getting hostile about an opinion.

I thought we got over this too.

In any case, I should probably point it out again it was all in good humour.

I think you're exaggerating a wee bit. Doesn't look too bad to me. Don't get me wrong, it's not spot on. It's just far from being "way off", IMO.

I knew all along. It would take an Italian Panda to bring Nessy back. :P

Regardless of the accuracy, it seems to be a very neat casting. 👍

Kinda lost interest in diecast for a bit, and just happened to be browsing the rumble strip.

I think due to the angle of perspective, of Jarrod's awesome Panda pic (the red colour helps disguise it's actual form). Then for it to be compared with a pic from a completely different perspective, was a bit misleading. Hence the reply.

Can't believe this thread moves so quick! Plenty to catch up on.

Bought this at a meijer must've missed a set because they had the Silverado, ranchero and the brat on the pegs one of each
