because the Panda rendering on the box is dead on, while the car inside looks nothing like it.
Looks amazing. Maybe I should've bought one. *sweat rolls down*TLV Fiat Panda
Fail. So much fail. It's CR-X, or Civic Renaissance X, everybody knows that. Plus the car looks old, it looks like one of the old castings I have.... wait. I have had that. For sometime. I do like the color.TLV Honda Civic
TLV-like, don't you think? Very cool.Tomica Premium Nissan Skyline
Pork Chop Sandwiches. j/k It's okay.Tomica Toyota 86
It looks pretty close to me? But I've never seen the real car, so I don't know. I might order the hardtop this month. Maybe. The Panda is the first TLV casting where it seems to me they got the basic shape wrong. The C-pillars and hatch on the model are slanted too far forward and make it look like a Renault 5. It's funny, because the Panda rendering on the box is dead on, while the car inside looks nothing like it.
$1, Andy. $1.Same could be said about how hot the Hot Wheels look on paper compared to the physical thing.
Fail. So much fail.

I get you, but that's been a general standard in toy industry forever.$1 a lot of monay! That $1 can buy you anything at the dollar store! That's some mighty purchasing power! But no, not even the casting quality, I mean like some of those fantasy cars look super aggressive, and then the real thing is more tame than unsalted butter.
Are they the one that doesn't ship overseas?Speaking of purchasing power, you guys may or may not be excited to know that HobbySearch is having another round of Bargain Sales very soon, and I saw a TLV service truck for 840 yen. Looked like something you'd find for $23 USD on Japan Booster.
I'm kidding.Don't worry, I'm an idiot.
Okay. 👍I'd say, looking at the box after what @GroupB said. It's definitely noticeable now that the c-pillar on the actual model is slanted more, than the artwork on the box. Weird.
It looks way more attractive than I imagined.Casting is really nice, though.
This one I did see coming. I'll open mine soon. I've only had it for like a week. I think. Why don't you open yours and tell me?

There's an Alfa Romeo 4C. In 1:64 scale. Made by Kyosho. GET OUT OF TOWN!So the acquaintance of mine who used to consign Kyoshos now opens up his very own store:

TLV. C-pillar is too narrow and canted too far forwards.
TLV model is way off IMO.
TLV proportions are noticeably inaccurate.
Looking at the pics, black trim/moulding stuff around the windows caught my eye as well. Just about expectedly, they look too wide.
Canadian after all. We were starting to have doubts.Guys, guys, guys... It's a ten-dollar car! Relax! This ain't AUTOart, kiddies!

I'm perfectly calm just stating that it is horribly inaccurate which is the sorta thing you normally complain about.
I think you're exaggerating a wee bit. Doesn't look too bad to me. Don't get me wrong, it's not spot on. It's just far from being "way off", IMO.TLV. C-pillar is too narrow and canted too far forwards.

Real Pandas. The thick, upright C-pillar gives it a totally different look, almost Soviet or Eastern European.

TLV model is way off IMO. I'd like to see it without the black accent paint around the quarter windows. That is way too prominent and may change the perception.
I knew all along. It would take an Italian Panda to bring Nessy back.
