What a shot. 👍

Found these on the way home tonight:

Two Chevelles, two Porsche 935s & one Karmann Ghia were on the pegs. No 510. Bummer, but honestly, I find them so ugly I don't really care if I find one or not. Chevelle I'm not completely sold on either, but I've liked the mainline in the past, so I picked it up to check it out later. Karmann Ghia, I've had soft spot for ever since we used to be into the "Garage" series 2, 3 years ago. Fun casting with the removable rear cover. 👍

Funny I find the Karmann Ghia a bad choice for that series. Pretty much all their choices were bad though. It should have been based around modern cars, not classics. Oh well...

My local Walmart put out the Fast and Furious cars. Dumped into the same bin with all the Star Wars cars and what remains of the mainlines from two months ago. If you wanted anything but the Supra and S2000, there were plenty to choose from. I think there were only a few Supra's left, and I think I found the only S2000 that someone so graciously left after they took the rest. Figured that would happen. There's either an employee at my store or someone local that knows an employee at my store that takes all the JDM stuff. Never saw the Japan Historics there, I bet they didn't even hit the floor.

Yeah, Karmann Ghia is a odd casting I personally like little bit. Not a fan or anything. I agree with the casting selections. 240SX would've blown up a series like the "Track Day". Even a Subie or something(sorry, more JDM). Have they even done that old RX-7 with Real Riders? :odd:

I used to like S2000, but I don't even know which S2K you are referring to. They've made very little impression to me last couple of years.

Got the rest except for the Datsun which I'm assuming someone got it before I came to the Walmart. Also finished the garage series and found some a case cars and a fast and furious chevelle. They didn't have a fast and furious separate dump bin so I didn't dig through the regular bin to see if there were any s2000s.

Where you been? :P

Oh god, I did see that. Totally passed. :yuck: I had dibs on F&F and the Holiday cars. Grabbed couple of green '67 or whatever Mustangs, that was it for me.

That other Porsche looks interesting. Game time decision for me.

There were a few at my store including the other one but like I said before no Datsuns probably won't find that one for a while like what happened with the purple rx3 from Japan historics which I still can't find.

Anyone in the US have one of these they want to part with? Searched on eBay last night and there's only one on that entire site for $15 buy it now, and one up for auction starting at $10. Plus a third in Korea and that's it.

Thank you for the appreciation. Now I've started a 1/64 Instagram account, I'm finding ways of making my shots stand out from others. It's part of getting myself back into photography seriously after a few years lull.
Looking forward to more. 👍

I don't even recall seeing that one before. Just picked up two for $9 on eBay. I searched for hot wheels subaru furious & there were bunch.

The 8C's wheels seem to have sharper details than this one, doesn't it?

Also, any word about shipping?

Edit:

DaBoxToys says this has a limited run of 1000 pcs. Brand I don't know. It can only be purchased in person, but he will try to reserve some for overseas customers. If you want one, drop a comment in that facebook post.

And that's $150 HKD

I think the 8C's and 4C's rims are different:

And as for the shipping, the owner is open to the idea and will think about it.

Yeah they are, but it looks like the "rings" are a bit thick, don't you think?

Thanks dude. Keep us posted on that if he puts up the green light. What are his prices like on average?

Finally found it. I've seen it just once, Toys R Us wanted like $5 so I passed:

Better late than never. I still think that this was the only casting that looked good in the whole series. Other vehicles from this series I had numerous chances to pick up, but I just found them hideous. :yuck:

Won another batch of stuff from pallaszg. Haven't managed to take pictures of everything yet (or I have, but I botched up the lighting/exposure so I want to redo them, but here's what I've got to show for now.

Kyosho:

Real-X:

This thing has really impressive crisp details for 1/72, but the wheels do kind of let it down.

Konami:

Seriously impressed with the Konami GT-Rs. I go into more detail on them on my blog.
Is it just me or are Konami die-cast a bit under the radar? Probably due to them not being produced in so long, but I think they're great value for money.

Changed tack this week and it payed off big time.

Decided to go into ASDA after work now, so around 22:30 in the week, maybe get some homework done Derrick Smith style.

Lo and behold, walk in there last night for a first foray and 3 middle aged ladies are picking from 2 pallets and restocking the whole toy section.

On seeing the Fairlady from afar I asked if they had just restocked, one of the ladies said no, she had put 2 boxes in last night. Said thanks. One other came over and flashed her RF gun and confirmed 134 on hand, no more in transit. Cool. Thanks.

Got down on my knees and started trawling the shelf basket, one gave me an empty box to put the ones I didn't want in and the good will and intrigue in what I was doing continued.

I showed them Fangula (picked up, but forgot to put in basket!!!!!) to slightly explain driven collecting value?!, in ending, one of these lovely, respectful ladies insisted on taking my mobile number so she can text me when they have new cases in from now on.

Seems I've done my home work!!!

There were only one of each of these left out of the 2 cases as said above, took 2 capsule cars, the missus must now have all entertainment licenced stuff also.

No Sign of any Mystery Machines, that's all I'll want now as well as repicking Fangula from case B. Prefer the clean Integra but the other 4 are superb!

Dang. That bin I went through had all of those, but I didn't know there was the Datsoon.

Now I have something to look forward to upon my visit(s).

I was too late for K Day and missed getting a box, but I still got what I wanted.
I didn't even make an effort to go until noon-ish and got the only car I was interested in (BMW M4). Though if I had seen a Datsun Roadster I would have bought that as well. Didn't see any though, not surprising as I think there's a JDM hoarder in my small town.
