Good first attempt, shame about the back end though. Can't you just glue the axle down to the base so it doesn't sit any lower?

As future reference, we do have a separate thread for custom hot wheels.
Wouldn't that make the wheels unable to roll ?

Shoot, forgot about the custom thread :boggled:

If for any reason your wheels are fixed to the axle and not free-rolling, then yes.

But if I didn't misinterpret what you wrote, you should able able to dab some thick glue (not runny stuff like superglue or Tamiya cement) so that it will do the job of those three "prongs" you may be referring to.

The wing is a separate piece from the interior, and they did indeed choose a cheaper grade of low density polyethylene to mold these wings as they lack the smooth surface I'm used to seeing in earlier releases. Whatever though. They don't make Furais frequently enough to justify using the better materials.

That's a $uper TH you crazy man.

P.S. This is what I ran into at Target yesterday(unrelated).

Cars didn't look bad for $3.50 or $4 or whatever, so I was disappointed that cars were huge. Not a surprise coming from Jada. They are good at making interesting cars that are too big to be 1/64 scale. :(

Also thank you @GroupB for letting me borrow your post here for my blog:

Don't worry. If for any reason you need to sell it, you can put some bleach on it and it'll be white again. Who would know?

I had to choose between the Tomica & Kyosho. I went with the Kyosho, and I'm not sorry about the selection made, but Tomica 787B has such a unique charm.

Good choice 👍 Probably cheaper too, right?

What I've seen of the TLV so far looks like it's going to be similar quality and detail to the Silhouettes. I can't wait!

Kyosho was cheaper, because it was just being released(thanks to @RCKakashi14 for the heads up). Tomica at that point was already going for something like $30, but I can't remember for sure. Let me see how much I paid for the Kyosho..... It was $24, shipped. I have no idea how much it's going for today. I'm guessing the market value of the Kyosho 787B would stabilize, or possibly take a dip as soon as the TLV version hits the market.

Edit: Oh my frigging god, dude. I just checked the sold listing search on eBay & there was just one:

I had no idea it jumped that much. I'd have guessed about $40, maybe $50.

^ Because RENOWN livery.

And imagine if that's the Beads version.
You wouldn't happen to know the difference between the Beads & the Minicar Collection version, do you?

I realize that the Beads comes with display case, but it's probably detailed little bit more, too?

787b on it's own was bad enough but now they've pushed forward the release of the silver Atlas to September, as well.

Nice pics, by the way. 👍
........ I will have no spending money in September. My preorder for the month of September was 13,000+ yen before the Safety Loader. Not counting the GreenLight Green Machine Falcon XB preorder, or M2 Auto-Japan(6 car set) preorder. :nervous::D

So out of pure curiosity, for someone who currently doesn't collect TLV, Kyosho, Tomica, CMs, etc due to inability to buy online, what would everyone that does collect those recommend as a first model when taking into account relatively lower cost but still has good looks and decent detailing? What would be a good "entry level" model of sorts is what I'm trying to get at?

That's probably a good thing actually. Will allow you to catch up on all the cars you haven't blogged yet. 👍

Reckon you should get, oh, about a quarter of the way through it by the end of month. :P
