I want to see the level of Bugzees64, Oversteer, or better.

Maybe I just hold them in too high of regard, I don't know. Andy, you own ignition model cars. What do you hope to see?

If TSM dished out samples of their molds, it'd be a wasted opportunity if IG didn't hit it big as well.

I'm going to guess, just like TSM, they're going to make wheat they already have in the past. It's probably going to be Japanese tuners, of all the typical popular cars. I'd like to see Z-Tune R34s, DR30 Skylines, NSX, and EG6 Civics for now. FC, Miata, RB 180SX, R33s would be nice too.

All I really hope for is that they don't Gundam marker all the panel lines like they do with their 1/43s. Some people really like this, but I find it undoes the purpose of making a replica in the first place.

Gundam marker
For those who doesn't know, this is like a marker pen people use on plastic models, right? I've seen collectors use this on custom hot wheels, but have not seen them(or similar technique) on production models. I'm not sure if I'll like this or not.

P.S. I'm hoping for those same vintage Skylines they've done in 1/43 & 1/18. They are sweeeet.

Is it a bad thing that I've seriously lost so much interest in Hot Wheels and Matchbox since October? Like "wouldn't touch either no matter what casting and variation it is with a 10 foot pole" lost interest. Even with the older stuff from the late 90s to early 00s and prior I've lost interest in which I once thought was impossible since that's what I grew up playing with.

I don't have the interest I used to, but I still purchase castings from time to time. Bought a couple over the weekend. Maybe $10-12 spent each month.

There's nothing wrong with losing interest in this hobby. It's part of growing up. Many kids started off collecting something; pogs, trading cards, toy cars, but they all move on in life and find more fulfilling things to do.

Like collecting cars that cost 20x as much.

Damn, is the USPS trying to do me dirty like they do @a6m5 ?

Had a set of HW Vintage Racing cars set to arrive December 1st. USPS showed those in transit to Tucson last week, then no updates. Last night, I received an update that they have been processed in... Denver!?

It's crazy. 2017 has been the worst year in shipping for me. All USPS.
Yokohama Drift would have been even better. Kicking myself for not thinking of that until just now.
That would've been really good.👍

My Cars and Donuts series got delayed until end of december, while my Japan Historics 2 got delayed until end of January.

This sucks.
I don't even know if mine come in or not. That sucks..

Okay, now it's your turn.

If they're 40, but better than Bugzee or regular TLVs - basically the crispiest 1:64s on the planet, would you reconsider?
If they are the best 1:64 castings ever, I will definitely reconsider.

Edit: Just looked at prices for Tarmac Works cars on eBay. Prices are ridiculous. Doesn't bode well for me at all, because I expect Ignition and TSM cars to be around a similar price point.
Had they partnered with Tomytec, that would've been sure fire 100% amazing minicar diecast. TLVs castings are solid, just bland.

It would be interesting to see how big of a part Tarmac Works play in this venture. I am hopeful in what Tarmac Works can become, but as it stands, they still have ways to go. What I wish to see is ignition model diecast in 1/64, not Tarmac Works cars done up like ignition model custom.

What are your thoughts?
TLV's are great, they aren't bland at all.
I don't want Tarmac to completely ruin things, because Ignition's 1:18's and 1:43's are awesome. I want the 1:43's that are out of my budget shrunken down to 1:64 scale. That's it.

Also, New Year's resolution: Buy more model cars and less Pokemon cards!

On the subject of me losing interest in HW and MB again, I started to think about it earlier. I guess it could be caused by some of the trouble I've run into with them and I'm just now starting to fully realize that it isn't worth it. Not to mention I don't go out hunting for anything nearly as much as I used to. Lately I've been going outside my house let alone leave the property only if I absolutely have to. I suppose in some way me not bothering with buying anything new has made me content with what I already have or something. Just feels strange. :indiff:

I don't hunt anymore either. I just check the car section when I have to go to Walmart or the grocery store for something else.
I don't think I'll be doing it any longer. Sick of turning up to various stores only to find that they don't have a certain line. Ebay is the better option because it saves a lot of stuffing around.

The display is almost done! Awful picture, but it should get the point across.

I really need more yellow, green and orange cars. Most of my collection is blue, red, black and silver

Looks amazing! Two questions:

1) Is that your entire 1/64 collection?

2) If you have time, can you tell us which models they are? I recognize some, but others are entirely new to me!
