Man... Just planning on collecting ALL Hot Wheels Boulevard cars and looking at the list, i feel like dying inside

I'm going to sound like a doubter, but I wouldn't make that a goal. The 993 is already very hard to come by....

and I bought all of the 914-6s (and later took them all apart).

I'm kidding of course, but Tomytec page did say that product was cancelled due to manufacturing issues, so maybe I'm half right? :dopey:

Where did you see that and what does manufacturing issues mean?

They've milked that CR-X casting to death but man, I really like the look of that one a lot. Sad!
You are full of shiitake mushrooms,

👍
That'll buy couple of GreenLight cars where you are, eh Jarrod? :P:lol:

A Tow & Hitch set and a single car, that's about it. :(

I totally forgot about this. First time I've seen a TLV discontinued before it was released.

I don't know if it's true, but there are reports in Japan that anybody who tried to install all the small parts on this Tamiya/Tomica hybrid jumped off the tallest building closest to them, but Tomytec still rather cancel the whole thing than to pay the assemblers to finish the job.....

Damn shame. I think CRX is bit overdone by TLV at this point, but I really dug this one.

I have no doubt that “production issues” translates to Liberty Media sending a cease & desist letter.

I pop in here from time to time, and on this occasion I saw the T3 Delivery above. Thinking it may be something I have to get my hands on, I clicked the link with hopes of seeing it not in plastic, and I did--there's a second image on the site that displays the model from the front 3/4...and it's a late model.

*shudder*

Boooooooooo...

Got some info from the store I go to:

They have started taking preorders for FK8 Civic Type R Mini GT 1:64 models. If one preorders, it will only cost 9 USD, but if not a preorder, it will be at 13-14 USD estimate.

Great scott...

Man... I'm actually anxious on how Greenlight's Datsun going to look lol

A day off work today, but I'm working around my apartment. I had to make a run to Walmart to pickup couple of things real quick, but at the cash register line, I see this old dude with those Chevy pickup series Hot Wheels! I started staring at the guy, as he is trying to punch the combination on the debit card machine.

He's looking nervous & annoyed, I ask "hey, where did you find those hot wheels!?" "Uh..... By the endcap, they didn't have the complete set." & I'm already walking away, thanking the man. I check Hot Wheels there every time I visit & this is how I missed it:

🤬

I remembered how that dude told me he didn't see the complete set. I'm feeling little bit excited, but little stupid too, because I only wanted that 80's Silverado, and they are scalper magnet.....

Bam! That dude's my hero.

Man... Just planning on collecting ALL Hot Wheels Boulevard cars and looking at the list, i feel like dying inside.

The cars are either super hard to find or just really, stupid expensive.
No, that would be Vintage Racing.

I think the Boulevard was my first new series as I was just getting into the swing of things, collecting Hot Wheels. "Garage" & Vintage Racing were already on the way out & I just got the leftovers. Expectedly, all those series have crazy expensive cars, but only one of those have the BRE 510 Bluebird. :P
Where did you see that and what does manufacturing issues mean?
I got the cancellation notice from amiami. Manufacturing thing was on the Tomytec website. @GroupB 's explanation sounds about right, like somebody's lawyer got involved. Bummer!

Yeah, I just don’t think it’s a coincidence that the only TLV to get cancelled had F1 graphics.

My Walmart has had the same crap since before Christmas. No HW premiums, mainlines are almost empty and old, Matchbox is empty. They got one of those side endcap displays but it's been empty for a week.

It's a interesting language they used "production/manufacturing". It didn't make any sense.

I was thinking if I should go check out another Walmart tonight(don't have work tomorrow), but I don't know...... Hot Wheels stock seems to be poor everywhere.
And I hope you ordered the Parareri white Civic. One of the nicest and cleanest casting I've seen for a while.
Heck yeah. My enthusiasm on this hobby has hit a new low, especially on TLVs, but the white Type-R Civic I am looking forward to. 👍
Tomica Limited Vintage Neo Mazda 787B 1991 Le Mans No.18
I am shocked how TLV didn't bother leveling this wing. At this price point, I'm amazed by it. :ouch:

Noticed that. Hope it won't become permanent.

I didn't mention that defect. Tomytec obviously haven't taken in any of the complaints they must have received for the previous release.

Or you know... just keep waiting for Kyosho to get back into the game. Or for more Bugzees/Minichamps to come out.

I am trying to pretend that series never existed. I just don't want to have an urge to collect that series since it's way more expensive and harder to find compared to Boulevard series.

I went to Kroger & Target tonight. Nada, except I did pick up one of those WWII Willys Jeep by Matchbox for a buck.
Noticed that. Hope it won't become permanent.
Being busy lately + my other hobby taking off(guns) didn't help. I think I'll get back up eventually. :P

They are #1 in the business when it comes to paying attention to detail, so my guess is that they either don't care enough, or they have lost control over their own factory. Either way, I think only the super high MSRP is reminiscent of the older TLVs. :dopey:

Unless you are made of money, I believe that's a wise decision.👍
Tomytec’s speckly paint ruins everything
Yeah, it didn't really use to bother me that much. But now they're using it on so many castings, I'm a bit over it.

I love TLVs, but not a fan of glitter paint!!

Glitter paint and big boxes, your two absolute favourite TLV things. :P
Are even the words upside down in Australia? And yes, I have no use for oversized collector boxes. Waste of paper for Tomytec, killing trees for the planet & waste of space for me. Can't stand them!

Hello, does anyone know where I can find this set? I can't seem to find them anywhere in stores? Also, how much should the whole set cost? Thanks!

They sold for a dollar each sometime ago, but I'm afraid they're long gone. Your best bet is eBay.

Edit: .They also released some with rubber tires for about $5 each, back when, including the Nismo Nissan VGT.

Can't say no to that Jägermeister livery. I should make a group photo of them all.

Konami Mazda RX7

This one's okay. Some worrying paint bubbling on the hood though. I wonder if that's corrosion or paint issues or what.

Man, it seems my country is also running out of Japan Historics 2. All stores doesn't have any more info from Mattel about whether they have any more stock or not.
