I was once told you need to buy a card with activation code of sorts but I haven't seen them anywhere.
I've never heard of this. I signed up with PayPal around 17 years ago, so I'm not really familiar with what's all needed to setup an PayPal account today, but I would get the process started on their website.

When selling things on eBay, I believe they require users to link their checking account to the PayPal account.

Paypal doesn't require a card I would think. I think you may be speaking of those Charge cards where you can simply buy those to turn into usable credit on your paypal account. It's like using those $10 or $20 Google Play Store credits to buy things rather than your debit/credit card.

I remember starting off my paypal account with no money and no bank account. But as Shinjude said, eBay will want to link it to your bank account so that in the event you pull the classic bait & switch, ebay can find you via your bank account/info (and whoop yo ass).

Edit: I scrapped the 20-car foam shelf that was on the wall in my office space. It was still good to continue using, but I had did some shelving rearrangement, and decided this was now in the way. But then I found another opportunity to keep toy cars on the wall:

Here I explored two structural patterns. The one I'm holding is very refreshing but it was too tight when I also have to consider headroom for trucks.

The pattern is almost the same as the one I used for the Kyosho shelving, but I had to make do with less pieces.

Went from 20 cars to 39.

Thanks for help from both of you. If nothing silly gets in the way I hope to be ready to sell by the end of February.

Also loving that display method. I've been thinking about ways to display loose cars myself but it's not a priority at the moment.

Tarmac did great with this. But I still see inconsistencies that is shared to other 1:64 models.

I even had to rummage an entire box filled with this model just to look for a good casting. The rubber side mirrors may be a great idea, however they are of UNEQUAL length on both sides. The right one is taller than the other. Then the matte black side skirts and rear diffuser are painted by, I don't know, some kindergarten kid... which is also my beef with the other castings.

The logo tampos, on the other hand, are spot on. And so do the rest of the car's proportions.

My faith in Tarmac models just went up a little bit, as a result. Hopeful to see more improvements.

This could be interesting. But then again this is Greenlight we're talking about here.

That casting is also being used for an ACME-exclusive Smokey Yunick SCCA Trans Am Racing set.

Mock-up looks great, but I've lost faith in GL after the Datsun 240Z mess.

I was dumb enough to preorder the Black Bandit 510 due out this June or whatever. If it looks anything remotely close to their "Z", I should be 🤬 slapped & laughed at for being so stupid. :nervous::lol:

Where do I go to line up for this? I want to be fiiiirst in line.

Nuremburg Toy Fair is starting tomorrow. I'll be keeping my eye out for MINI GT posts and whatever other relevant stuff that can go in this thread.

I'll be there.

I'm not at all surprised by Andy, or Cano coming back from the dead at the opportunity, but don't let Jarrod fool you. He didn't start laughing at me now, he's been laughing at me since yesterday. Don't let me down GreenLight!!! :(

You should know better than to tell me these things by now. :P

Don't let us down Greenlight!!!

We want a monster truck 510!

You guys bash GreenLight 240Z pretty hard, but if you compare the GL model to the real life car side by side, I don't think they were that bad:

What is going on with the narrow windows! It's like the Matchbox Skyline all over again. :yuck::lol:

I think Greenlight should just quit while they're at it!

I think y'all should give up on 240Z in this scale and just get one from Ignition.

Anyway, here's some initial finds:

Minichamps

The very first display is all you'll be interested in, except I can't tell if those are 1:64 or 1:87.
