Oh you got the IROC Firebird.
Yeah, I was getting the two mainline Skylines when I saw it. Very cool Firebird.
That I'm not sure on since I bought mine loose and years ago at that.
I think I have it....

*Google*

Ah, AutoZone set:

I wish they would use that Firebird more. I can never get enough of the IROC racecars in any scale or make and model.

Is that police car supposed to be a Corvette or something?

Trying to save you from pain.... Japan Booster will take care of you though, right? Which car was it?

Toyota Patrol. Hood ornament and bumper lights. Never even noticed until I opened the fire version and then I was like “Wait a minute, the police car didn’t have those.”
I think he opens them up to add flyers and bag the cars and the parts must’ve fallen out.

I don't think I've ever received anything from Japan Booster with flyer, or any inserts thrown inside the TLV boxes? They put the boxes in those clear plastic protectors, but that's all I've seen from them.

P.S. I've assumed Akiyo is a guy, but other collectors reminded me the name suggests it's a "she". I feel like I'm stuck in some Seinfeld episode, where I can't bring myself to ask after so many correspondences with the person you know?

Yeah 2004-2005 models are generally bad... Like the first two Ferrari & Lamborghini series aren't the best ones I've seen. Oh and the Beads too.

But everything else is decent to very good. When you can see perforated wheels, brake discs, mirrors, and head lamp/tail lamp pieces with some level of detail, you know you've got something you'll like keeping.

This SVR is from 2004:

Overall looks good, but does look cheap on some details.

But sometimes they'll shell out something that looks rather nice:

Never saw them in stores that sucks. Still haven’t gotten the Datsun and Subaru from the Cars and Doughnuts series too. We’re still on track day/air cooled/ and euro style.

God ding, got mine just in time. $40 doesn't seem that bad for the set now. Yikes.
Got mine for around $50, from where i come from, that's not bad at all considering now the set goes over around $70-$80 here.

Buried among VW SP2s haha

According to @AOS- you can. Apparently, some of the earlier models can be a hit & miss. :D
Ah yes. I remember AOS’s pics of the 250 GTOs. Still, I believe it’s their first foray into 1/64, so they can be excused for that. Most of their other releases have been some of the best in this category, if the castings weren’t made by TLV. If you’re looking for European supercars and sportscars, past or present, then later releases by Kyosho are probably your best bet.

Edit: I almost forgot to ask you guys this: How much does a damaged Kyosho cost? I’m asking this because one of my Kyosho Ferrari 365 GTB4s (the earliest one released by Kyosho) has got a missing side indicator. I’ve already got 3 of these Ferraris, so I’d like to sell the damaged one. However, I know that shipping a parcel overseas means a lot of paperwork to do, and since I have absolutely no experience of shipping things to anywhere, neither do I know how I need to pack the product in a way that it won’t be further damaged. And if it doesn’t fetch for a decent price, I don’t think I’m going to sell it at all. Instead, I’m going to modify it (read it as painting the interior and wheels), so I get to keep a special product of mine. Anyway, I’d like to hear your opinions on this matter before I do anything to it.

The only Kyoshos I've been impressed with has been the Original line.

I was looking at the Porsche GT2 RS 997 yesterday and fell in love with the model. It's amazing. Hoping to acquire some Skylines soon from the same line.

Are they crazily different from the mainlines? I always found it strange they would make what could be perceived as the "mainline" versions of some of these Originals.

I'll admit I've not done an in-person comparison, only on-line image comparisons. To my eyes, the Originals appear cleaner and more detailed.

More cars in the mail today:

Two of the coolest cars still sits at my post office, however. Couldn't find the package apparently. Again.

I'd be mildly surprised if you get a decent return on it. On the other hand, customizing Kyosho Ferrari sounds awesome.
I'm pretty much crossing them off my "must acquire" list.
Impossiburu.

I have some mainlines, some originals, but I've never done a comparison on them either. They seem close enough it's never really concerned me which version I have, except the originals has proper packaging & base.

Yesterday I sent a package to a friend in North Carolina with some good NASCAR stuff in it. Really hoping it makes it to its destination in one piece since I went USPS. I would've went UPS which I trust more but it wasn't my decision to make even though the UPS store is closer. :indiff:

EDIT: Currently at the distribution center near my friends location. So far so good.

I had horrible experiences with USPS in 2017, and 2018 is picking up right where 2017 left off.

Firstly I really like that Olds police car you picked up. I have a soft spot for vintage police cars. :D

As for USPS this is the first time I've sent any package myself but that's not why I'm nervous about them. I'm nervous because I've seen so many times that someone has had a mishap of some sort with them, mainly here. Quite frankly I don't have the patience for such a thing. Already bad enough they keep putting our mail in other people's boxes and therefore leading to things such as unpaid bills despite us calling about it numerous times over the past three years. On the contrary I haven't heard anything bad about UPS and until I do I won't have reason to worry about them.

If this ended up sounding like a rant that wasn't my intent. 👍

UPS couriers have quotas to meet. They need to get their packages to you quick, and they do this by driving dangerously fast.

USPS couriers also have a quota to meet. They need to get their packages to you quickly as well, and they do this by throwing your goods onto your driveway.... at a dangerously fast pace.

Same quota, two different methods. Can't say anything about Fedex though.

Perfectly understandable but at least for me as a customer I shouldn't have to worry about damaged/lost packages and in some cases, poor customer satisfaction beyond that. Especially if you're sending something that isn't cheap or in the case of what I got for me friend, hard to find if it's something such as diecast.

Good old USPS.

Tarmac Bimmers look sweet, same with those erasers. Good stuff. 👍

Happy to say that my friends package made it to him with everything in one piece.

Also, a while ago I was asking about what I'd need to know to get setup on PayPal, eBay and TTP. Are there any charges for signing up/opening an account on any of those services? And with PayPal can I sign up right on their website? I was once told you need to buy a card with activation code of sorts but I haven't seen them anywhere.

I have so many cars I want to sell that I'll be losing over half of my entire collection (small scale and large scale, Hot Wheels, M2, NASCAR, you name it), and the boxes I have everything in are taking up a lot of room. Plus I don't see myself being able to take part in any flea markets or such anytime soon. The sooner I can start selling stuff the better.
