They are neat as hell, and these new colors are awesome, but I already have all the TLV Honda S600/800 I need.

Now, this one I had to have:

Yeah she's a beaut.

Yesterday:

I should have gone to Walmart instead yesterday, because I believe I missed the fresh dump bin by one day:

Happy I was able to find the Maverick, but not one Kenmeri Skyline! :(

I got PIAA LED headlights for my car I want to test out, so I'll go on a hunt later this evening. 99% chance I won't find anything, but oh well.

Well, PIAA test drive went well & out of town. While I found no blue kenmeris, I did run into my fourth Japan Historics ever(another RX-3 *yawn*) + all three Mystery Models I've been after:

None of my local stores carry these Mystery Models, so this was a real bonus. Again though, at least in my area, they don't stamp the vehicle #'s on the packaging anymore.

I also picked this up at Toys R Us nearby. Kinda neat.

-The End-
I don't need half a dozen of the same model, like you. I've got other Honda's!
You could've done something really cool with a baker's half-dozen Civics, like what this guy did. :P

Funny, I picked those exact 3 up tonight as well. Only new thing my Walmart has received since before Christmas. We still don't have any new mainlines.

And I thought the same about the stamped number so I was using the little window to see what was inside. Then out of nowhere I actually found the number. It's under the flap on the backside, right below the car list.

Anyone have tips on how to keep the unpainted, metal bases on Hot Wheels from getting rusts? My DB5 from Skyfall Retro Entertainment is starting to get a bit of rust there :guilty:

at the autoparts store there is stuff called Evaporust... it will remove the rust formed,
there are other more expensive things out there too that you would have to order online from a metal supply place that will keep it from rusting, however does give it the appearance of being clear coated...

I imagine this is the case.

Most metal bases I'm familiar with probably some sort of alloy. The ones most prone to rust is actually the axles, because those are plain ol' steel.

Isn't Hot Wheels zamac, just untreated bare diecast metal?

That metal alloy is called zamac.

Zamac is zinc mixed with aluminium, magnesium, and copper. (source: wikipedia)
With no iron present, the base (nor the body) should produce any rust. The axles are made with steel which contains iron.

Wherever you got that rusty-bottom car from may have touched water at some point in time.
