Two e case cars at target. Aston is a error?! Is the stripe supposed to go on the hood.

Wierd. Lots of humidity?
Oh gosh... I didn't think of that. Gonna have to paint the base i guess.

That metal alloy is called zamac.

Zamac is zinc mixed with aluminium, magnesium, and copper. (source: wikipedia)
With no iron present, the base (nor the body) should produce any rust. The axles are made with steel which contains iron.

Wherever you got that rusty-bottom car from may have touched water at some point in time.

So cars like the Retro Entertainment BTTF Time Machine shouldn't get rust on the body, right? I'm so worried that i just put the car back in the card.

I was reminded of this when I saw @a6m5 's post with the Porsche.

I recently had the chance to interview Magnus Walker when he came to Mexico City. Cool guy, real gearhead, we clicked along really well, the hour and a half felt like 10 minutes.

I gave him a Tomica Porsche I had restored several years ago, and he gave me a signed copy of the Hot wheels release of his car.

What you see is what you don't get.

He got the better deal, you sneaky.. . .

I was cruising the aisles looking for shoes when this Hot Wheels fell into my shopping cart.

Should have taken a basket instead.

Weren't you in Indonesia or something like that? Humidity's one thing, but it's still surprising to hear such a newer car showing rust. I would guess it comes from handling, not air. You might want to give them a wipe with dry cloth once in awhile. Almost any metal can still rust or corrode.

You.... needed to be reminded to share news this big with us? What is happening to you!? :(

For me, bigger news is learning what you look like. Honestly, I kinda imagined you looking like the Mexican version of this, tightly gripping a drag bus. Sorry.👍

Seriously though, this is amazing. I love how you gifted him with the restored Porsche. Very cool. 👍 Have you published this Magnus Walker interview yet? :embarrassed:

Look who ended back in our basket.

I can't come up with a smart ass reply like Tex or a6 did. I'll just say, Magnus geniuely seems like a good friendly guy, so cool that you got to interview him. 👍

Am I refined? Thank you, Spacedog.
I wasn't kidding, I pictured him as the Mexican Kurilin from the Dragon Ball Z. I just sensed it in all his posts.
Always here. Just can't get a word in edgeways with all you guys blabbing constantly. :sly:
Guilty. Welcome back, I hope you become a regular poster too, like before. 👍

P.S.
It's a wonder Cano didn't pluck the Porsche back out of Magnus' hands and run away with it.
It's debatable who'd have won that foot race. It's not like before.

Yeah Indonesia. The thing is i never really bring it everywhere. It just sits there on the desk. I figure maybe dust played a part?

Well, it has to be moisture of sort if we are talking about rust. Like I said, I think wiping it down occasionally with dry cloth should help.
About as refined as a baseball bat.

Never watched Dragon Ball Z.
I wish I could hit you with my kamehameha right now.... *goes super saiyan*

To keep this on topic somewhat. Here's a Greenlight 240z casting that doesn't look like a Monster truck.

One of those old wooden baseball bats too. Not the fancy aluminium ones.

Well, I get to interview car-related people on a somewhat regular basis (I had breakfast with the CEO of Subaru in January, lol) so it really escapes me, but this time it more or less had to do with small cars, so there's that. [/QUOTE]

What the hell. I have previously posted pictures of me in here. In this very thread even.

Also, wtf. Why Krillin? That's literally the weirdest... uh, interpretation someone has blindingly done of me lol.

And yes, the interview has been out for a few days now. I'll post some pics when I get the magazine.

He is, actually. I was between curious and exceptical of why the heck the hype about it was all about, and turns out neither he really understands where it all came from, as he just does his cars like he wants to and eff everything/everyone else. He's become a media darling without even trying, but has capitalized it in the best of ways lol

Lol, I wanted to gift it to him. The signed Porsche was a counteract of me giving him the Tomica 👍

Well, I hated to admit it (probably jealously) but he looks really happy - like he can't believe someone actually gave him a Porsche.
And it's not like he already doesn't have a ton of Porsches . . . the guy is a multi-millionaire. :boggled:

But now that I have your attention:

That looks to be all interior piece....

The base would probably be hella small then!
They shouldn't have use the flames, we finally have what looks to be a Charger without bigger rear wheels and they ruined it with those plastic flames.

I think the English version Dragon Ball uses same language, so I'm pretty sure I'll have to put you in a headlock give you a hug. That was close.

No wonder you have no time for us anymore!

I'm looking forward to it Kurilin!

Is there any databases that you log what you have?
I don't know of any, but I'm sure there are stuff you could utilize available online. For me, blog served as a highlight database, also same with image folders, but I don't keep track of anything I buy otherwise.
