750iL !
Yeah I thought it was a bit lame that we would only get the weaponized version because it looks weird. They actually listened! It would've been a huge missed opportunity if the car was just limited to the James Bond collection.
Have you tried searching in AliExpress? I haven’t bought anything there, and (not trying to downplay the value of anything here) it being a Chinese e-commerce site means that there’re probably some “Product not matching description” purchases made over the years, but one upside is that shipping from China to Australia is probably a lot less than whatever route Amazon arranges, I’d assume. Besides, some of the product categories that they have for sale may actually have many products that are worth the penny, and I don’t remember reading a lot of complaints about the site on the Internet. That is, if you know what to avoid. Nobody will expect to buy a Dyson there and expect to have a product delivered that matches their expectations.Hi all. Some really nice cars in here.
I'm new to this part part of the forum, and without going through the whole thing I was wondering what you use to store some of these impressive collections.
I've started rekindling my slot car interest with a 1:64 scale track and drag strip (currently both in the early stages of development) and am in need of something that's reasonably priced and good looking to display my cars so they're in easy reach, and preferably wall hanging. My idea (with the wifes approval of course) is something like this but preferably with centre opening doors... and preferably cheaper (I feel $300 AU for two is a bit steep).
This (below) is what I'm hoping to end up with (the drag strip in the foreground will be mounted to the wall with the return lane directly under it). Maximum height for the cabinet (pretty much what is pictured) is 40cms (15.7'') and the width is fairly open but I would like to keep the display slightly shorter than the TV (just over 160cm/5' 3'').

I've seen some really nice looking display cases in America, like this one but the shipping price is crazy and it's over $200 AU to buy here with Prime free shipping. Times that by two and... yeah, pretty bloody expensive. I could easily get ten more cars for that!
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I had already seen some of the first items you posted (on Amazon and eBay) but they were at a higher price so thanks for that, but I'm not sure they'll pass the wife test. I ended up going down a pretty deep rabbit hole on AliExpress but all of my ideas were shot down. Even this idea from Amazon was shot down.Have you tried searching in AliExpress? A quick search revealed that these seem a lot cheaper and may fit what you want:
These are admittedly not as good-looking as the Amazon products that you found, but hey, they’re cheap. Fiddle around with the search keywords, and you probably will find something even better.
As is always the case with online shopping, I’d be cautious with the payment methods you choose. If you can, don’t reveal your bank account information in its recognisable entirety. That’s probably something you know already, though. Hope this helps.
My first Inno64 models:
Maybe I'll also get another 400R from Poprace (it has opening hood and trunk) for comparison (and possibly sell the one I like the least).
Tbh Poprace version doesn't resonate well with me compared to Inno. The grill looks weird. My first Inno64 models:

No don't stop.I should stop going to this thread...
That's no good. I've seen a post or two on reddit reporting the same thing. That Supra is the first I've bought from them. Seems like a great little model.I've bought 3 Tarmac Works models in my life. Just 3. And the 3 of them came with problems.
Well, the 1st 2 cars were not that of a big deal tbh. But the 3rd one...

This is the last one I ever buy.
