good luck on that venture. So many multi pack exclusives and play set cars then many mainline and series variations. Have you looked for the ZAMAC mx-5 yet? If not and you're looking to have them all, that one will be tough. So too
will the toys r us exclusive cars...you'll probably have to find the gift set to pull out the miatas!

Edit: just remembered the Getty promo, but those are easily found.

I'm going off the list here:

Sooo....... it is OK to bid on the Choro Q lot? Medigo? :P

Sorry if it sounds a bit selfish, but I was hoping to get them... :guilty: I'll do a trade with you if that sounds ok? :) Was hoping it'd be an interesting intro to Choro Qs. Plus, the friend I'm asking to bid on them would probably be annoyed if I asked him to have a look at another thing. :scared: Already asked him about the Maisto Elite Transport GT-R, then to the Tomica, and now Choro Q. I have a feeling he's kind of sick of me changing what I want him to bid on. :ouch:

You should get the Black Convertible Edition MX-5 Miata, R1600. :D That one looks awesome!

My bad, I misunderstood. I thought you were just going to bid low. I do hope you win! 👍

No pressure man. :D If you do win it, I might send you an offer or two, OK? ;)

Sounds good to me. :)

On a random note, and probably quite a bit ahead of time... I'm taking a trip to Vietnam this summer to visit family. We'll possibly be stopping by Detroit and Japan, or...Detroit and Hong Kong. Anyone been to the gift shops (which are probably over priced) and know of any diecasts there?

I don't know about Hong Kong, but I grew up in Japan. Japan is a model(plastic models, diecasts, etc.) paradise. While I don't recall diecast being as popular as plastic models, "hobby" shops are every-friggin-where, and they have more cool toys than one could ever imagine.

Considering how many models are also sold out of Hong Kong, I'd imagine that models are very popular there also. I think AutoArt was from Hong Kong?

After looking through PAGES of pictures from Speedhunters on a visit to Japan's toy shops, my pants are already in need of new ones. (TMI indeed...) Tickets said about a 5 hour stop in Tokyo airport...so I might just have to look through the airport shops. Would they have plastic/diecast models?

Edit:

Edit2: Looks like the price just jumped for that lot... $5.50 now. What is it's actual worth...?

Japan is a cluster to get around, except on foot. I wouldn't expect to see anything cool around Narita(airport), and if you are not from there, you might never ever find your way back to the airport.

P.S. Can I bid on those then? I'm kidding, but it's nice. 👍

^^ Go to Supercars.net's forums to see the ass of the Internet. Seriously.

Yep, I been on those forums, browsing around. Yes, I saw some unbelievable crap written on the fourm section. I usually go there to look at the photos and read the articles and that's it.

GTPlanet has spoiled you guys. Don't venture too far, 'kay? :sly:

Ok I won't.

This is why I love Japan :D. So many cool shops filled from RC drift cars to almost life-like action figures. It's a tech nut/nerd/auto enthusiast/ gamer's paradise. You were lucky A6, I take my hat off to you bro.

Next behind Japan is Hong Kong, Europe and Australia. The shops in these places with their cars is jaw dropping also. But Japan owns.

Yep A6, AutoArt is from HK. :)

Did you see the RC drift shops out there in Japan, espically that one store (Kyosho, I believe) in Speedhunters they featured?👍

You can play with any of the RC cars for a fee or even rent them.👍

Yes I did and actually want the Toyota Estima RC car badly. As the ticket said, I only have about five hours in Japan...

About that for the Cherry only. Believe me, they're gonna go higher.

Oh ok... :indiff: As long as it's a bit cheaper than $1 a car...I suppose?

That would be a freaking steal, I don't think I've ever seen a choro Q go for less than a dollar. I can't fathom why they are so expensive, really.

When I pulled the wheels off the couple of vans for the Datsun (now a Hakosuka), I started searching for them in E-Bay expecting easy preys for wheel-swapping. Oh how wrong I was. The van I pulled the wheels from went for $25.

Medigo: What is the high bid you are planning to place? I'm only asking, because if the bid goes higher, I might consider bidding on it. Only if the bid reaches beyond your reach. Let me know!

One thing I do miss about Japan are those type shops. I moved here to the States, when I was 12. Toys, games, arcade, electronics, basically all the toys the kids my age loved, they were so backwards, crude in America, and there were so little of it.

I'm down with it now though, as I like guns, and the real guns are absolute no-no in Japan. :D

So what do you do? Just wait until 5/29, then place an order? $26 is pretty steep(includes shipping), but I might do that.

Edit: Oh, nevermind. Looks like you have to join something called Redline for $24.99? Yeah, I probably wouldn't do that.

I've started collecting Hot Wheels after buying a bunch for my little brother. Picked up a '70 Plymouth AAR Cuda, '68 Chevy Nova and a '67 Pontiac Firebird 400.

Is it drastically different than the first BttF Delorean?

Read the page man! :P

Yeah you have to be a RLC member. Something I have been meaning to do but keep forgetting. You get a bunch of stuff (like an exclusive car) with the membership, so it's worth it.

you'd haave to print out a lot of tampos, but it's possible to get way near that. I've been playing more and more with water-decal made tampos and damn are they a revelation. It might take a ton of work but it's possible.

I'm thinking maybe $8 at most for them...? :dunce: If not, I could go for the four Choro Q Ferrari's. Either that, both of them. Since the total would be $12 if no one else bids on them... $6 on each bid. :dopey: Tempted to go for the NSX-R and Evo VII... But I'm afraid to pester my friend on more ebay purchases. :scared:

I am coming after you with a bulldozer, Medigo.

I want a Silvia S15, AE86, FD RX7 and/or a R34 GTR full drift D1 spec kit from Tamyia or Yokomoma(sp?). I seen those Drift RC cars in my tuner mags and I wanted one since.

Whenever I go to Japan, I'm heading over to those stores ASAP. If I was rich, then you'll see thousands of RCs, action figures in my closet and Skylines GTR parked outside. :D

Have fun on your trip Medigo. :)

I know right? I lived here in the US since I was born here, and it's hard to find hobby stores, arcades and alot of cool, or some people would call "nerdy" stores here in the US, which is a shame really :(.

Come on, with Marvel and DC comics, Wolverene, Hulk, Iron Man, Batman, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Thor, Spiderman, Teenage Mutant Turtles, Tomb Rader(Lara Croft), Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Star Trek, Muscle/Pony Cars and Trucks.... There's got to be hobby stores/comic stores in the US for these great franchises in the US :D. But instead we have to look around even harder or resort to stores like Kmart, Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, KB Toys, FAO Shwartz and/or Gamestop :banghead::(.

Sometimes I just don't get it. Is it because those sweet items that I listed is somewhat "geeky" or something in the US or what?
