1/64 Model Collectors Thread

Does anyone know if a 2006 Corolla (or similar year) exists in a scale 1:64 or similiar? My friennd wants one to put on her dashboard of her Corolla.... so she can drive while she drives.

I love the 2006 Corolla. Very clean looking design. I think their 'looks' went down hill from there.

From HWC, I don't think they've officially been announced yet. Haven't even seen pictures of them... The last Hot Ones to be released seems to be Mix 5. And their previews go up to Mix 8 and still no sign of the Hare Splitter. I have noticed that my Walmart also sucks with restocking Hot Ones... We still have '78 Corvettes and '76 Monzas hanging around.

That's what this Walmart is like. Been that way for probably couple of months. Thanks anyway. 👍

I look at it this way, if i only collect first editions im guarantied to have 80% of all castings minus retools and the suckers that sneak in in the other lines.

The complete 2011 first edition since I stopped collecting from 09-10 * i still bought cars but nothing compared to now or before
going for 2012... its gonna be a hell of a year hahaha , personally 2012 has some of the best cars but im not liking the many movie / tie in cars...

Went through all my cars and sorted them out. Put all like cars together so I can keep track of which ones I have, etc. Didn't really come up with a whole lot to list on eBay tomorrow, although I do know most of my Treasure Hunts, All my Speed Machines and probably my Initial D cars will all end up on the bay.

How about trading for the Speed Machines? Or would you rather be making some money off of them. I would ask to trade for the Initial D stuff, but that goes for quite a lot...I'm guessing.

It's alright, collecting can be plenty expensive as a hobby. Can only wonder how much I've spent ever since I started. Was just hoping to get some Speed Machines since that's one series I really wish I didn't miss out on.

I was hoping to head out with my cousin to some Asian markets to see if they had any diecast that weren't of the normal brand. Since Pennsylvania has much more diversity compared to Maine. Of course, my two days spent here (leaving "this" morning) were mainly for another cousin's wedding. Knowing my mom though, she's going to do plenty of shopping on the way back home. And I convinced my dad to possibly stop by BJ's since they're one of the few retail stores that still sell 1:18 scale models.

Looking forward to the new Mad Manga, Mystery Machine and especially the Red Bird. Heard they're also making one of the pigs from the game.

On another note, here are some errors and hard to find variations. All recent that came from trades and some I've found. I know a6m5 absolutely loves this stuff.

Little extra from the Hot Wheels factory, lol.

Grill not clipped in.

Mismatched wheels.

Missing wing. Looks awesome imo.

Unchromed rear wheel.

Reversed wheels.

Two VHTF 5SP wheel vari.

VHTF backwards wing vari. Found yesterday at Toys'r'us.

I've only been looking recently and have 1 regular and 1 super. Not much turnover of stock round where I am but it seems regulars are quite common in well stocked areas.

That is quite few of them. Only problem is, at the store, I wouldn't catch half of those error if I looked at them directly.

Look harder then. Knowing what the car is exactly supposed to look like also helps.

I don't always find errors. It's hit or miss for me, usually. But, I've been finding more lately, because I've been checking stores that I usually find stuff at. I know the spots that get hit hard with collectors and the ones that collectors don't even know about. That's why I stopped going to Walmart.
