Anyone going to the K-Mart collectors day on the 3rd?

Here are the exclusive cars:

And if you buy 20 cars, mail in the card backs with the required $$ for shipping, you can get this:

I am! Basically to get that dodge....

Anyways, shipping is confirmed for my Hw35 set!

I remember when Hot wheels had double digit price tags. We'll never see something like 97 cents ever again here. The lowest we get is $1.00.

I motion to have Kyosho pictures banned from this thread this point on.

I suggested this thread to him in the first place... But i now second that ^ motion.
*c..can't control fluctuating jelly level's.. readings are off the scale captain*

@ diabolicwyvern.

Love those MB's, especially those lace style wheels (used to have a MB Daytona with the same wheels), my faves have to be the 300ZX and Pontiac Fiero. 👍

@ Cano.
Awesome set of Goodyear panel vans 👍, they make my mainline one look like a piece of crap.

@ Harry.
Cool Anglia 👍, i have the same one (love that cast.. HW needs to do more British classics).

Gosh, I thought those racing models were already out. In some ways I'm glad since I was worried they were somehow already out and snatched up. But...considering that I've only seen these Racing lines (like Off-Road and NHRA) at Toys R Us in small quantities, I'm worried I won't ever see them here. :nervous:

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
I drive a 1990 in real life and I have never been able to find any scale models of it aside from some 1:27 IROC ones.

Yeah, Matchbox did a cast of them back in the day, (it had an opening bonnet) pretty nice car. 👍

[EDIT]

This is the same as the one i used to have, also had it in burgundy with silver skirts etc.

Not my pic BTW.

Also remember having another that you could attach battle armor/guns etc to, don't remember the name of the Matchbox series... might have been called 'Road Warriors' or something.

Ah, the first edition 56 Ford Panel, I love that thing. Also, there is a version of the GT1 Porsche in white with a livery that reallysresembles the one that raced. Very hard to find.

@R1600 I thought you posted that pic for the Celica i have yet to acquire :(

I keep passing on it, but the Phaeton from this year looks astonishing.

Cool MB's McZachen 👍, i had both the 'XR4i' and 'RS200' when i was younger, my fave was the MB 'Peugeot 205 T16' though, loved that thing to bits... literally, the rear suspension collapsed due to excessive play.

PS. It was one of my first clam-shell opening cars... actually, no it wasn't, i think that may have been a Jag E-Type by Corgi.

Behold. Mystery cars:

Love the shiny paint!
I admit I didn't catch the green stripe, but old news. Lame. :grumpy:

I do see what Sony's talking about though. There is gecko head peeking out.

Edit: Oh, I get it. It was about the lizard. Put your lizard back in your... nevermind. Is that your pet Jason? :dunce:
Yea im surprised no one else caught it.
Nope its real. Another collector posted it on HWC.
Wow! Thought for sure ya'll would think i was idiot for saying that, but i was actually right for once!:D Funny story, i was just chasing one of those geckos just yesterday, but he got away. I would go crazy if i saw a gecko like that on wal mart pegs just sitting there! I love lizards!:D Which that gives me an idea:idea::sly:
BTW I was in Walmart tonight, saw about 20-30 green stripes. :D
I don't like what there doing with the treasure hunts right now, i miss the green stripes they had.:indiff: Made them so much easier to spot, now i probly pass by treasure hunts and i don't even know it.:scared:

Do you also remember when they came with geckos?
:lol::lol::lol::lol:

And yes, the Majorette van is made in France. Unfortunately seems as though it's had someone etch random things onto it.

I know what you need...

This one?

All summer I was collecting. I put off taking pictures so long that eventually they all were put away. I don't recall what's new anymore, but in the last three months I've added 100-120 cars. Many of them were commonplace that I purchased only because of there color. (A result of my being very particular about how my cases appear is that I buy an inordinate amount of neon orange, pink, yellow and teal cars. Something about how they line up next to the standard red, black and white that it seems a majority of the mid 80s to late 90s are.)

But 30-40 of them were put into a couple of new 80's K-Mart wall hangers. To think that all you needed to due originally get these was mail 5 UPCs and $1 to Mattel....

I've had to buy these full of cars I didnt want just to come by them now. :banghead:

Anyway, 60% of the cars below are old and 40% are new to my collection. As new cars came into my possession, I did a lot of swapping in and out. As I'm not sure what's been up , I thought it best to show them all.

Sorry about the picture quality.

Blister fresh from years gone by. But not bye!
