You gonna have to make one now! You must reinvent your game. :D

The problem with it is that the wheel arches are too big. I just tried a cool set of wheels on it, and they look like 20's but they fill up the arches pretty good. :P

Is that a Kyosho, Andy? I've had many near-miss with that model Kyosho(white one though). She's a beaut! 👍

Welcome to the thread, photonrider! I hope you enjoy your stay..... Harry.

I forgot to post what I got from eBay today. Mercedes CLK-LM & couple of Lambos:

Also, I finally placed a bid on & won couple of Hot Ones Hare Splitters!

Was it Jason who was crying about getting outbidded by .50 cents? Check this one out. They had couple more hours to spare, I have no idea they didn't also outbid me by .50 cents, but I'm not gonna lie, I am super glad. :D

I really need to grab hold of some more Countach mainlines to customize.

Wait, I already have one. :P

Is it. Take that, Mr. I-call-dibs-on-the-GT1-Speed-Machines!

My jaw just dropped.👍
Keep pissing me off.
I've decided that I will stop collecting now. Now that I ordered the Hare Splitters, two silver R34 GT-R(w/supposed card errors, which you know I don't give!) & another "finally", the Canadian release Hot Wheels 935 race car. Yeah, I am officially done. Not counting the trade in the works with Cano, but after. :dopey:

I just want to say that it is officially the best looking but second coolest GT1-98 after the one I have.

:P

Hory cow, are you willing to sell any of that, Harry?

edit: It looks like I have or had most of those already. Never mind.

Good luck with that. I've decided stuff, too. It doesn't work.

My jaw just dropped.👍

You guys were getting hell from Cano awhile back for bad storage habits, and I pulled these trays out and took some shots to show how I store my various collections, but I did get tied up a lot recently, so never had the chance to join that particular debate while it was on. However here are some of my storage trays, and the unopened cards are all batches that require opening, or display up on the wall - and I haven't got around to it . . . yet. :sly:

I need more of the larger plastic trays; I plan to get rid of the cardboard trays eventually, but what's happening is more trays keep appearing. The plastic trays contain groups or 'batches' of different collections.

Photobucket is acting inefficient as usual - please bear with the odd angles; it's refusing to accept my edits.

Edit: Whoops!! Looks like Photobucket's guardian angel just fixed that glitch. ;)

Careful. Selecting bigger containers means each one will become heavier to move.

With the undivided trays I used previously, I could store my entire collection inside the 63L tote of mine, but the tote ended up being extremely heavy. Now that I've limited the maximum capacity to 297 cars, it's much easier to move around - not to mention that cars won't possibly trade paint now.

This absolutely. That is why I swapped my big-ass box to several small boxes. Makes searching for a specific car a relative snap too, and the cars at the bottom won't take as much weight on them.

I also store carded cars in drawers:

Hope that pic comes the right way up - it's correct at PB, but when posted here sometimes doesn't right itself.

Edit: Andy - a lot of the cars may be familiar since you guys probably have them, too. Yes the plastic trays can be heavy to lift when full.

Fortunately, Cano - they have wheels, and are stackable, whether lidded or not, so a cinch to move around.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

sure.
Fo real this time.

I did get the impression that was the point of the photo. It was more like Cano biting our heads off than a discussion, but I've converted.

I got four of these things now. Granted, they take more room, but each different cars are easily accessible now, and I don't have to worry about getting chips on my older cars anymore. :dopey:

Weight on bottom ones, dude.

All the difference in the world.

Love those cases, a6m5! So they hold two dozen apiece.

The pics I have shown so far come from my mancave - when I look beyond the plastic trays, this is what I see:

Cano - the plastic trays sit on each other on special grooves - the plastic bases of the upper cases don't sit on the cars of the lower ones; they fit on each other.
There is more damage from the cars rolling around in the trays and smashing into each other - the only way to prevent this is to buy more cars so that the trays are full.

Onry 4, Shinji? That's onry 192 cars. You have that little?

Oh no, Harry, your money tree is tipping over!

Just thought I would let you guys know, I'll be updating the tutorial for my shadowbox frame displays so that you can make them front loading if you want. :) Gotta go to homie depot and get some plexi glass...

Harry: They hold 48 per case(24 each side).

Andy: I'm still working on my third box. I keep mine carded, remember? :D

That would be quite an upgrade. 👍

It was the same guy who did Thunderbirds - but Capt. Scarlet was more . . . adult, I suppose. I loved T'birds better.

a6m5 - 48 to a case? Even better. 20 cases would hold a grand amount of cars, and wouldn't take much room, I bet.

Thats it! been trying to think of the name for a week now:lol:
It's as though the artwork was done by the same artist or something. Never seen the show, but as a toddler, I was pretty impressed by the Thunderbirds toys the older kids had. *edit - So it is a show, and by a same guy. 👍

Harry: Look for them in Walmart, sewing/craft shops. They used to be sold as Hot Wheel Jammer cases, now they are sold as thread organizers.

Andy - you must have some Chinese in you ;) or are an Indoor Plant fancier if you recognised that plant; yes, it's a Brazillian Coin Plant, quite popularly known (along with some other plants such as the Devil's Ivy for instance) as a 'Money' plant. I believe it is now time to lop off it's head, braid the stems of the saplings and bind it up, but I don't have the heart to do so just yet. Postponing the surgery,

If you fly to that counter and hover over the Money Plant this is what you would see. However, this one is a constantly changing scene - things come and go.

And if I look up from that counter:

I thought I told you that I am Chinese. You must've forgot. :P

You going to assemble hinges? A front-opening cover is definitely convenient, but at the cost of seeing hinges (unless you have a method of hiding them) which definitely isn't as clean looking as a picture frame.

Also, plexi glass at this size NOT cheap. You going for 1/8" thickness?

Will figure out what to do with the hinges. As far as the plexi, I can get this and have them cut 12" off the length. it's 3/32" thick.
