Yeah, I am officially done.

Perhaps the funniest thing I've read................ever.

Also, it's real nice to see that Harry's back and making us all very jelly with his photo's as usual. đź‘Ť

Working on Photobucket tonight, hundreds of pics to upload - here's one of a Flying Custom:

Goat - you've officially overtaken me in this thread:

CapturepostedHWthread_zps9d61c3bb.jpg

This also shows that almost a quarter of my total posts have been made at this thread!

Talking about pics, Spacegoat, - yeah, nice treatment, too, RACECAR, I like to see where you are going with this. More shots, please, and this will definitely bring out not only your style but also improve through practise your mastery of light and shadow. I was half-expecting the GT5 #1000 Ticket theme music.

Goat, check out this Nardo I caught speeding past the local Police Station.

Oooops. Wrong thread.

Just finished uploading photos and already there are 5 more cars to take pictures of. Stuff from daboxtoys came in today.

Amazing cars and shots, I never knew there was a scale version of that generation Falcon!

Would look good with the Hot Wheels Commodore (can't remember the generation).

There has to be so many of those Fast Fish THs out there.

I have two, Jarrod has one, a6 has one, who else has them?

I have a TH before other people?

This doesn't make sense. :dopey:

It's 3/32" thick.
Nice. đź‘Ť

Experimented.

Dark photos are my kind of thing. I know your camera can't handle that stuff too well, but one way to maximize on the quality output is to do some work in photoshop, such as sharpening details and rotating it so the car isn't slanted. Instead of having that button appear over the cars, maybe you can replace it with the car emblem. đź‘Ť

Anyway, here's another premium:

Well I was originally going for the Windtunnel shot, but I couldn't get the cover off the fan so just left it as giant fan. Don't really have a problem with my Phone, I went for maximum darkness so intentionally I have only one source of light for the effect I wanted. As for it being slanted, I didn't really notice them being slanted.

I also felt like illustrating what I felt the potential of this photo had.

Ok, I do see it now that you pointed it out. Thing is though as much as the logo idea looks great, this is what I'm kinda going for:

stock-photo-2431283-wind-tunnel-for-car-test.jpg

Not exactly, but thats the general idea.

Where you get light coming through the fan guard?

What you can do is set your car on a table - not a floor, put your fan at the end of the table, get a lamp behind the fan and get a large sheet of tissue paper and put that in between to soften the light.

What might end up happening is you getting a ton of light in the back and none in the front. In which case, you can put a secondary light source in front of the car (if it has the same colour as the lamp in the back) or instead grab white piece of paper (or something reflective like aluminum foil) and put them close to the car so that the light coming from the lamp in the back reflects off of it and onto the front.

If all you wanted was the patterns of the fan guard to be part of your backdrop, and still wanted a single hard spotlight on the car, get 2 light sources - I'm assuming you're using a flashlight. Put one on the car, and put the other on the fan. If you put the fan further away, you'll get your illusion of depth, but this may prove to be tricky since you're using a phone to take pictures.

Four packages arrived today. The problem is I only have three outstanding orders, so whatever is in the last box is a mystery. It's definitely from eBay, but I've no idea what it is. It took all my strength, but I left everything unopened at home and headed back to the office after lunch.

I'm going to summon my inner Akio Asakura for the drive home though!

Edit: Doing my best to avoid this! It's more than 2/3rd farm stuff, but that just means they'll be less bidders at the auction for what I'm interested in. But... I.... must....

not...

go... arrghhhhh

Is the NSX custom, or Speed Machines or something? It's cool!

Wow, potential indeed. I'd love to see this shot perfected. đź‘Ť It really should go to the photography thread Harry created for Hot Wheels though!
Perhaps the funniest thing I've read................ever.
Oh, you be quiet!
Wow, maybe I should just shut up.
That would make me look like a post-whore(I'm #2), and we all know I'm not.

:P

Anyway, here's another premium:

Kyosho again, right? Awesome regardless. đź‘Ť
Akio Asakura
I thought this was a race car driver or something. He's a manga character!

Yeah, that ain't bad. đź‘Ť Come to think of it, that's the one that looks like my Tanaka(Tomica Limited) NSX, huh? I think you posted a pic earlier, right?

Yeah. Someone posted it on HWC for trade and I told him I didn't have what he wanted but asked if he would sell it. He said he would wait until he got a trade offer but nobody had anything so he just sold it to me.

Went to some garage sales this morning. But I slept in so all the good stuff had been sold already. I did get 1 car and a Dvd though.

I got this Hotwheels Dropstars Maybach 62 from one of the garage sales. I then stopped at a bakery for a late breakfast and they had a exclusive diecast there so of course I got it.

A Ford Model A delivery for the Beechworth Bakery. After that we stopped to get some stuff for dinner and I picked these up.

2 M3's and a Hotwheels Edition Camaro.

Don't you mean Takata?

One more premium to show you guys:

PaganiHuayrametallicred_zpsd7e52f12.jpg

So much nicer than the lime or black imo. Who the hell would buy this in that soft shade of purple?

Takata - Tanaka, all those Japanese name sounds the same to me. :P

Very cool Ben. Never heard of Dropstars, but if they sold that here, I'd have given it a look. đź‘Ť
Yeah. Someone posted it on HWC for trade and I told him I didn't have what he wanted but asked if he would sell it. He said he would wait until he got a trade offer but nobody had anything so he just sold it to me.

Ah, so they probably normally go for more. I'm happy with my Tomica in that department anyway. Has the Super Treasure NSX hit the market yet? I don't think any of us found one yet.

There is no $uper NSX.

And this car was the one I missed out on that bid by 50 cents. I think it went for $12.50 + shipping, so $10 shipped isn't terrible.

And I want to buy another car tonight but I may have to get it from somewhere I don't want to purchase it from. :scared:

Where you get light coming through the fan guard?

I wasn't planning on using the light through the fan, I'm just using the picture to demostrate that I'm trying to mimic the wind tunnel. I just was not able to find a big enough picture where the light wasn't going through the fan. Its not so much I want the patterns so much as I want the fan present (even if its abit off). Also, thats actually the very same Desk I used for the first pictures I took. I just changed the scenery through the magic of some boxes and a fan .

If you put the fan further away, you'll get your illusion of depth, but this may prove to be tricky since you're using a phone to take pictures.[/color]

Is there a problem with me using my phone? It takes better quality pictures then my JVC everio did (and better video) so why not? I'll try experamenting with the fan at a farther distance though, just hope it doesn't ruin the illusion I have at present of the walls contenually fading into the dark.

Of course he is!

For grins, here's his ride...in video and live action.

You can watch the horrible live adaptation HERE, but I warned you.

If you thought Initial D Live was a debacle, well...

And I know, I know...this isn't hot wheels related...

well

Now it is.

^ I'm currently watching that crummy show right now. Akio is such a blockhead.

Is there a problem with me using my phone?

Yes. Unless you get a tripod and timer set up on your phone, you won't be able to hold two flashlights AND take a picture. That is unless you are able to hold 2 small flashlights in one hand. You don't have to do what I've mentioned if you don't want to, don't get the impression I'm telling you what to do. They're merely suggestions.

Edit: I open my damaged Kyosho container, and I'm presented with an F1 with no rivets. What happens next? This.

If only it was the CLK-GTR because that's the one I'm opening.

Open Kyosho? Bizzare.
There is no $uper NSX.

I could swear you posted one of those "be on a lookout" pic that was a Super NSX. :ouch:

Who?
Of course he is!

lol at the two pictures(anime/live). I'm gonna watch this later.
If you thought Initial D Live was a debacle, well...
I thought the live action film was OK? Though I've never been a huge fan & I just have couple of mangas(books) & those godawful anime(w/CG car action ) on couple of DVDs.

It can be considered as a manufacturer error, but the fact that you can open kyoshos and close them makes it a little more difficult to prove its legibility.

However in this case, I do have photos of the rivets not being punched in so the car can be assembled and taken apart at will.
