Oh yeah guys, a slightly out of town and deplorable Toys R Us had MBX 60th Anniversary cars on sale for 60 cents. Like, the ones with the special boxes included. I bought them all which were three Minis and three Evo police cars.

If no one speaks up they're going on eBay if I get around to it.

Sure thing. I sent your package today so I will add these next cars to another rapidly-filling box.
So, you're saying I can cut down the cards except for two ZAMACs?

With postal rates gone up even more, the demand for small light weight packages has increased.

Save one R34 and one '66 Nova Zamac, and tear the card off the rest. I might request more if you happen to see more. It'll mostly comprise of the same diecasts you're looking out for, like a USS Enterprise, (red) Mini Countryman, Circle Trucker TH, Fast Fish TH, Tarmac Attack (turquoise/silver PR5), Scirocco, Custom Cadillac Fleetwood, etc.

And if they can't fit in a small box because of the blisters (not the carded ones), take them out and cram them together. Thanks, Zach.

.60 cents 60th Anniversary Matchbox....... Mine was a full $2.99. :(

Here's that VW Bug from yesterday:

My somewhat long time target - Super Treasure Cano Bird:

Paid full retail for the Hot Bird, but there are couple of sizable brown marks on the top of the blister(it was listed as mint). I'm contemplating on how I handle the feedback on this one. Most likely a positive feedback, but stars taken away from the description accuracy. 👎

Almost forgot:

Kakashi - Red Supra is amazing. 👍

zakyta - Some old find! Oldies, but goodies. 👍

Is that the second set of 60th MBXs already?

I just assumed that it's part of the initial release? I've been hoping to run into this, VW Bus, but most of all, the London Bus. I think they are either short production, or more likely, targeted by the collectors & scalpers.

I would have loved the wheels on the card to be the wheels on the car. (The bug.)

The only cars I have seen are the Mini, Evo, Mustang, VW bus, tractor, and Jeep.
I have no honest idea, but the London bus being rare sounds about right. A chase model of sorts maybe?

I know Mr. Lamley Group could easily clear this up for us.

Beetle looks pretty good, still NEVER saw the Gallardo. :grumpy:

Anyways, stopped by Target after filling up on gas on the way to work and found that I left a bit too early...

As mentioned earlier, I had stopped by my local WM to look around. I haven't bought any thing like this in over ten years, nor did I realize that the HW's were under a buck a piece! I also didn't realize that they made bikes now.

Don't start that addiction again now.. . .

Dr. Foooooord!! Another one with a relapse!

Guys, I see Gallardo cop car like the every other time I check out the "60th" cars here.
Also, I have the solution to your brown spot problem: open the car (:
You one up me again.👍
This car'll always be a Cano Bird to me.

Totally agree. Perhaps it would take JL or Greenlight to pull that off.

Oh. Oh. Look who found an MC5 Subbie! Congrats, Kevin!

Yeah don't be like one of of those low EQ buyers and dramatically downrate for something so minute like scuff marks. You can get that off if you really wanted. Creases and tears are on a completely different level.

Wait, the MC5 WRXs are special variations? :dunce: Just realized that it was supposed to have 10SPs... There were several MC5 Subies at my Target.

All I find for the 60th cars is the Mustang, tractor thing, Mini, Evo, and VW bus... All I want out of the series so far is that Gallardo. :grumpy:

The Ambassador Reports are Mattel's official reports on Matchbox. All info is in there. I think around December we debuted both the chase and regular versions of the Routemaster:

They're about equal in their release numbers it seems. Just that their distribution is a little spotty. More cars in some places than others.

@ Zach - I just had someone on HWC offer to send me a Zamac set + a bump around for free, so I won't be needing your services. :P

Just sold another 99 cent veyron (2006 release with FTE) 22.99 on Amazon. That's three in roughly 18 hours to three different buyers...all of them though in California.

No, nao!

I saw on eBay a while ago a Boulevard on an upsidedown card.
Yeah that's pretty uncommon, but the seller priced it like it was the only one that ever existed.

All the ones I found were MC5s, and since I did not like how they look on the Subaru, I passed on it. If it had had the 10-spokes, I would have bought it.

What do don't seem to understand though AOS, is that there are currently 43 ninjas in that picture.
