I've seen them at Target and Walmart. You live in Vegas man, gotta be tons of those stores. :P

You got me :P. But I gotta keep it on the down low from my parents though when I want to hit the stores for HWs or MBs.

I don't have a car to go out and look around myself so..... They don't mind me looking or buying one sometimes, but I want to keep it under the radar..

Those are the two Treasure Hunts that everyone was finding though. I really want the Custom Dodge Van Treasure Hunt. If anybody get one, TRADEITTOME!!!!!!!

Awesome. I'm still waiting for an invoice from you btw.

Never mind on the Fast Fish, Cano. Sorry. Thanks anyway!

Negative. I got an extra Blue Subaru w/Gold MC5's that you probably already have. Did you need the white RX-7's?

(actually) Fixed.

Oh man, I forgot all about that Blvd 997. D'you got extras, Jason?

Boulevard 997?

There's a 993 GT2 coming out in the next month or so...

It's in Mix 4 (last release for Boulevard :()

Still after that one.

I really wish they did a reallllly cool version of 510 coupe for the Boulevard series. Wagon was alright, but looking at how awesome Vintage Racing one was, also putting into consideration how madly popular that & Boulevard 510 wagon was, it would been a nice overkill IMO.

We got your confession in writing, stupid. j/k :P

Hey! Zero! If you had only two choices of brands in 1:64 Diecasts, what would you choose?
Tomica and Siku? Or HotWheels and Matchbox?
GreenLights and Maisto?

I finally got through opening everything in this box:

Started out by freeing the Maistos. I actually bought this pack just for the Porsche Panamera (which I had sneaked out of the pack right away the day I bought it.) I needed some random commercial vehicles as filler for dioramas, so I got these opened quick. The box was several layers deep including some five packs so I had set aside some time to totally savor the loot.

Next, was a nice muscle car, and some more commercial goodies from Matchbox. Plus a Batmobile to add to the Batcave.

Also quickly opened. Note the bunch of munchkins lolling around on the flatbed. I'm opening these packages on a half-constructed section (intersection) of a mini-diorama. Terrible working conditions. Absolutely no space to do anything but slice one's fingers.

The levels in the box go down, but doesn't seem like by much. A whole bunch of HotWheels livery cars have surfaced, along with more juicy Matchbox trucks.

All feverishly opened, though it was a mistake to get that chopper and tow-truck opened this early in the work day.

Running out of space to actually place the cars down and slice open the packages, so the noobs are made to line up neatly, parking-lot style, as usual.

Half-way into the box - and looks like it's going to be HotWheels all the way down to the bottom. I look at he HW livery cars and wonder what to open. I was sure I had some these already opened. This box was accumulating cars for some time; basically whenever I had made a purchase, I tossed it into this box if it was earmarked for opening for dioramas. The box had begun to overflow so a big opening session was overdue. I decided to check my HW livery collection before opening these. And now the HW trucks were calling:

I liked this bunch - the Bone Shaker (especially mint) looked scintillating - a nice addition to my collection of Bone Shakers . . . and who could resist another Wrangler?

More muscle cars surface in the box - but the livery cars are getting in the way, so I take them all out and place them aside for a moment; I need to get at these new muscle cars

As you can see, I'm clearly running out of room. This is hard work. But someone has to do it.
So I did it:

Back looking into the box, and it suddenly seems like I haven't even made a dent in it. I know the levels dropped because I can see more of the five-packs, but it still looks rather full. :nervous:

I needed incentive to go on, so I fished out the five-packs instead. I had been waiting quite some time to get that Cobra in my hands and open its hood. I'm not sure what I'm expecting different, all I know is I want to see something out of the norm when I lift that hood. All I see usually is overspray.

Backs of the five-packs:

If you open the five-pack carefully it makes for great storage of other loose cars. You can even hang it up as a display with five different cars in it. Or the same cars. Once you're done mauling them.

And on to the Ferrari Five-pack.

I knew it was a mistake to open the tow-truck this early. Any sign of a tow-truck, and cars start immediately and mysteriously breaking down. And if you have a car whose hood can be opened there will immediately appear mechanics who will then stick their hands into the engine. Evidence? :

Another thing that happens during these opening forays is that variations from previous openings also appear on the counter, taking up more space as they schmooze the newcomers. Yep. My redline jumped off the display shelf to say hello:

Everything cleared up a bit (I just the welcome party back to their homes) I was now ready to dig deeper into the box (and these were cars I wanted to open for a month) - which is why they were buried towards the bottom. I wanted to test the new High Speed Wheels. Would HW finally beat Johnny Lightning?

And that was when I discovered the oil that was coming from the Bone Shaker's axles. There were even smears on the roof of the car. HW was cheating! Hybrids! These were oiled!

They were trying to take away JL's rep as the fastest cars in the world! :dopey:

:) Anyway . . . to answer my own question: If I had to pick just two brands I'd pick JLs (still the fastest cars in the world to me) and Matchbox of course (because I grew up with it - not that it's better than HW or anything.)
My largest collection still remains HW (though MB is a close second).
Getting JLs over here is extremely difficult and same with GreenLights.

Two choices? You are sick Harry. Sick!!!!

Hot Wheels' given. Matchbox's great, but out. Tomica is drool inducing, but not enough cars(at least in North America), same with Tamiya & Kyosho, which would leave M2, Greenlight & Johnny Lightning........ Give me a year or so to decide. Now go back to your diorama!

If you're only allowing what you wrote, Harry, HW/MB hands down.

Maisto sucks to make up for Greenlight, and Tomica and Siku have so little of interest.

If we could assemble our own, Kyosho and Hot Wheels. Yes HW over Tomica. Quality's better but variety is more important to me. And HW is cheaper too. I can get my premium fix off Kyosho.

Haha . . . guys . . . first I was wondering whether to ask you guys to choose only one. Then I thought . . . that was a surefire way to cause instant brain-damage to any DVA . . . so I made it two choices. (Me being a compassionate sort, and so on.)

Actually, Andy, I was just providing some examples. Choose any make, whether easily accessible or not. It's a fantasy question. I would take the entire JL and MB Collection and be totally happy. Would be interesting to hear what Cano has to say. And the others, too, of course.
