[2 cents] Finding the box is a long shot....if it came without one, chances are it never had one to begin with. Chances are it was lost long before it was ever listed.
Was it blatantly stated there was no box? If not, ask for something in return because - note the use of words - you're not fully satisfied. Don't jump the gun and "threaten" them with a negative feedback too early because then you might come off as a jerk to them. You got to at least make them feel bad for not satisfying a customer to trigger their pity flag.[/2 cents]
They actually offered me the correct box + incorrect base + $4 back, or the partial refund I requested of $8. I'm like you. I want to be firm, leave no room for misunderstandings, but I will be professional & will not resort to blackmailing.
Having said that, it sort of ended up resorting to the same effect.
On the second email, I did tell them that if we weren't able to work things out, I am taking this to eBay/PayPal resolution center, then I got the OK on my requests
instantly.
I think the original price they had on this car was nearly $50(+$9 shipping
). It was on sale for $24, I sent a "best offer" of $22, which they accepted. $59 for
loose Kyosho? They are nuts.
Anyway, I'm glad they came around & to their credit, they were not only professional through out the whole deal, but polite as well. So glad eBay protects such purchase as this. I love Toy Peddler, but I think you are pretty much on your own on there. Thankfully, everybody I dealt with has been true pros. 👍
