I have an extra F&F R35 on me. The card's half-torn though.
I don't deal with people from foreign countries.[/foreigner]

Seriously though, thanks Andy, but higher shipping just kills it.

That's why you look through that 300+ list of cars I'm getting rid of.

Only reason why I'm interested in buying from Jason's because he already have a car I want set aside for me. I don't buy anymore, unless: a) I REALLY want it. b) I see something cool while shopping.

Way I look at it, you either fully commit, or keep the size of your collection in check. Me, I see myself getting rid of a chunk of my collection in the future. I'm going to have to, if I want to keep adding to the collection!

I think I bought a black one for my nephew, but it was before I started collecting, so I don't have one. You don't have a blue R34 for sale, do you Jason?

Still looking for the R35 from the F&F, too. Which one had R35 anyway? Is it the latest one?

No R34.

And the R35 is from Fast 5.

Can you hold off on selling these elsewhere for like another day or two until I research some of these and know if I want a bunch of cars or not? :D

Do'h! :ouch:

Oh well, next time. If you run into any R35s and R34s Jason. PM me. 👍

I was busy looking at the threads containing the action at E3 and didn't check in. :dunce:

Not a problem. Being the first to respond, grab more cars and I'll get you a nice discount/bonus.

Let me tell you, for the liiiiiiiiitle difference in price between those two, Matchbox's rendition is amazing.

Actually, the Matchbox model is way better than Tomica's.

Spend some for modifying it, and it will catch up with that Kyosho.

Trivia: While it may say it's a P400 S, that model is an SV. Check the tail lights, as they are only found in a Miura SV.

Which doesn't surprise in the least, even if tomica's mold is from the 70s-80s era. Many castings in the Tomica lineup are terrible.

As for getting it to Kyosho levels, that would take an absudrd ammount of work, but we'll see. I have two for modifying indeed. Miura Jota, here we go.

Good luck turning it into this:

Kyosho-1-64-lamborghini-miura-jota-red-bag.jpg

(I'm actually looking for this too. This costs 24.00 USD online...)

I'm not turning it into that, i'm turning it into the original Jota, the semi-racing car with slicks and rooftop wing all that trash.

Seller
Sir, the shipping price includes, postage , handling, insurance, filling out a custom form and waiting on line at the post office ect...

Who the hell charges for standing in line? "OMG This Customs form is going to take so much effort to do I'm going to need to charge you a fee!" (faints).

Again, I asked two questions and only get answered one. Sellers are so dumb! :banghead:

edit: So I asked him if he would ship loose. I did not ask him to reimburse me anything should there have been a difference in shipping cost. Guy says: "no Thanks". Second time a seller refused to ship items the way his customer wants. The first only did because he claimed I wouldn't be saving on much if I had them shipped loose, and shipped them carded anyway without verifying any further instructions I had. I'll bet this one will say something similar.

Oh, you mean the Jota SVR like this one I have?

Yes that thing. The most work will be widening the fenders and the custom bodywork but it's doable. The wheels will never look like that but I'll have to be inventive with Hot Wheels' lace wheels. Still, a long way to go. so far I've only taken it appart and stripped the paint off... like other around 20 cars

Goodness me this seller is being such a blockhead.

I asked him how much it was to ship 4 cars. His response:

"$10.99. THANKS"

I asked him if he would allow me to save on shipping if he would ship my items out-of-packaging. His response:

"We agreed on $10.99 THANKS"

First off I didn't say anywhere that I agreed, and following up to that, I didn't get my answer so I made a few points about how shipping smaller = lower shipping costs, just to point out the obvious in case it wasn't obvious to them (can't assume common sense these days). I then asked him one more time if I could save on shipping. His response:

"Sir, the shipping price includes, postage , handling, insurance, filling out a custom form and waiting on line at the post office ect..."

Oh my god, standing in line and writing on a piece of paper is SO MUCH WORK! (faints) Like many sellers, they only respond to the first section of a message and ignore everything else. So I asked him once more if he would ship the items loose. I did not mention about saving on shipping this time. His response:

"no Thanks"

98% of sellers I've bought from won't turn down such a simple request so I asked why out of curiousity. His response:

"If you suddenly did not want it, how am I supposed to sell it afterwards? If you didn't want it, I can easily cancel the purchase."

Ohhhhh so that's what he was worried about this whole time? That I would suddenly walk out? -_-

So I assured him that I wouldn't be because I already gave him money which should be a clear sign I want the items. I only want the items free of their packaging. That's all I'm asking for now. His response:

"Fine. I'll ship it out on the 13th."

"Fine"? Should simple choice of words telegraphs your emotions too easily. As a seller, you shouldn't even be getting worked up, especially in text-based communication. I don't even know why he had to get worked up for. He could've handled the situation more easily with the first response if he had said with something like:

"I believe we agreed on $10.99 for shipping. If you want me to ship the items loose, I can do that, but I'm afraid there won't be any room to save money. Are you okay with that?"

There was no need to tell me all the "trouble" he has to go through standing in a line filling out a form, because that's none of my business and his problem for being an eBay seller. There was no need to jump to the assumption that I'm a non-payer. All he had to do was work with me or any buyer to one solid mutual agreement.

Kinda the reason I only use Amazon if I buy stuff online... (which doesn't happen anymore.)

Kakashi is making me so jelly with the 240Z...

It's not too bad. Some sellers are pretty cool with customer service. This is usually why I ask all my sellers these things before I proceed. Most TTP sellers are excellent. I just received a response stating he's okay if I defer payment for about a week.

edit: Oh oh. here's another one. So I'm asking another seller if they will ship loose and he's blowing up the email with whining and frustration, telling about his past troubles about customers trying to rip him off.

"THANKS FOR THE INTEREST BUT NO I DON'T OPEN THE PACKAGING."

I look like I'm making a big deal, but I'm just trying to break his shell of fear.

"Is it because you're worried about a buyer giving you a negative feedback for scratches and paint chips?

Even after I pay for it? Even if you wrapped them in tissue? Even after I request and acknowledge the risk? Even if you have this message as evidence to back you up in case? I'm just curious to know why."

"I GOT BURNT BIG TIME ON A DEAL LIKE THAT.THEY STAY IN PACKAGES NOW UNLESS ITS SOME I PURCHASED WITHOUT.I DON'T SHIP INTERNATIONAL NOW.I'M TAKING INTERNATIONAL S&H OFF ALL MY LISTING OR RETURNING PAYMENTS.SINCE U.S. INCREASED POSTAGE COSTS. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS COMPLAIN ABOUT SOMETHING ON EVERY ORDER TO GET ALL OR PARTIAL REFUNDS.POSTAGE HAS DOUBLED FOR SOME AND ITS NOT OUR FAULT.EBAY CLAIMS TO TRYING TO MAKE CHANGES BUT I HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING YET.BEFORE INCREASES INTERNATIONAL BUYERS NEVER COMPLAINED.WERE GREAT CUSTOMERS."

Worry-wart. I imagine he won't take the risk probably because I can probably still file a complain to eBay and he'd still lose in the end... even if he has this email to show eBay (which is damn unfortunate for me because I seek to build trust in people). Except this guy's lost all trust in people. I bet he didn't even read the last bit of my reply.

In other news, I'm unsure if there is such a market for counterfeit Kyosho 1:64 cars, but after using terms to describe a counterfeit item in conjunction with "Kyosho beads", the search engine refused to give me any results so that's one sigh of relief I can take. Just to be certain, I entered "Super GT Offical Miniature Car Series" - note the typo - and I did indeed get hits on Kyoshos with the same name spelt exactly like that. I guess whoever did the packaging dun goof'd big time.

edit: WOW In less than two months, I've already purchased 102 cars off ToyPeddler. I've already broke the 250 car limit I set for myself by over 100 cars, and I've got another 30 cars coming in soon. Sweet Jebus I am an addict.

Text-based rambling aside: Here's something pretty to look at:

That is freakin' sweet. 👍

On eBay sellers, I do see where they are coming from on breaking cars out of packaging. If they are listed sealed-new, some evil guy could use eBay buyer protection against the seller. From what I understand, sellers are at great disadvantage when it comes to claims.

On customer service, I don't get the rude one's either. When I was selling my Rod Strickland basketball cards, I usually have this one guy(yes, still going on, on & off lol) who sends me low-ball offers. Usually something like "would you sell me all you have listed(say $1500's worth) for $400?". Customers are customers, I always respond politely. He even won one of my auctions back when, you never know!

On haggling for lower shipping, once the shipping charge is established, I don't think you should bother the guy. I frequently ask sellers how much the shipping would be if I bought x-number of cars. I go from there. I totally agree that Toy Peddler sellers are much more accommodating when it comes to shipping.
