Boy, more kick ass cars. 👍👍 How about shots of what looks like a very early 80's Corollas and dark blue car on the right with orange stripes? I like 'em!

This here.

I did see the resemblance, and you gotta be able to see why!

That "Classic" joke do apply, and it's no Supra, but I do like Daytona. Of course, I also like Chevy Celebrity & Beretta, so let's keep that in mind. :dunce:

i have 2 of these hotwheels celica supra. one is still sealed in the package even though the card was cut around the car.

Wow, this Corolla actually looks nicer than I expected! Is this one the "Vintage" line? Levin hatch seems to be standard Tomica Limited.

Anyhoo, cool cars & thanks for the pics. 👍

i bought mine from this guy almost 5 or 6 years ago back then i paid $20 for each.

That is absurd. Currently, eBay don't even have one listed. Last two sold I think said $99 & $129. Third sold for $40, but that was back in April. Crazy. Really well done by you though.👍

Hot wheels

Heavy artillery right there Wyvern. I didn't even knew the Skull Rider or whatever the hell that first thing is called came out as a Color Changer with Blackwalls. I assume it's somewhat of a partner for that hyper-weirdo VW Bug with a brain painted on the top, a tonge and some eyes? It looks like plastic too.

Also, that Gremlin Grinder omFg, minty! Great cars as usual dude.

I've looked at them before, but I forgot Johnny Lightning made them. Guys like Greenlight and Johnny Lightning's being left behind in the JDM department. Hot Wheels cashing in, just look at the demand on eBay!

You got really cool, unique JDM pieces there Xavier. I enjoy seein them. 👍

I'm trying to go oldest to newest in the groups, but I couldn't resist starting with the skull rider. My next five are early 90s. Some killer stuff still to come!

@AOS-- the lot with the purple caddy arrived today.

I tried bidding on the vintage hotwheels ebay lot that diabolic posted but it went a long way above what I bid. It ended up going for just under $113 US.

I picked up these 3 trucks yesterday. 2 Razin Kane's and a Captain's Curse.

How many of you try to complete the set? I have exact opposite approach to collecting. Cherry. Picking.

P.S. I just watched Jarrod's "still real to me" vid in his sig. Dude's still trying to graduate 6th grade. I also couldn't believe you still have me on your sig.

I normally just cherry pick as well. But as there's only six in that Atari set, figured I may as well.

Dude, as if I'd ever remove that, still makes me laugh.

Edit: Also, anyone else notice this thread is quickly approaching 20,000 posts?

I used to try and complete sets... but that never turned out too well. I don't mind finishing off the Muscle HW Racing 2012 since I've already completed the Stock Car and Road Racers. Hot Ones, HW Classics, Boulevards, Garage, Retro Entertainment? Nah. Too many castings I don't like enough to buy. I've tried to complete the Boulevards before, but I ended up buying a lot of crap.

It happens when I'm around.

And so, I have finally landed a trade for the 2000GT $TH. I shall have it by this afternoon, trading it for the Shelby Super Snake $TH. Will tell you how it goes.

Did you bypass the postal system? Smart.

:P

And so, I have finally landed a trade for the 2000GT $TH. I shall have it by this afternoon, trading it for the Shelby Super Snake $TH. Will tell you how it goes.

And so, the guy didn't show up. I waited a bit and then went inside the store to look for him. Another toy department guy told me he had been in the storage center for the entirety of the day, so I guess he couldn't get out of the store for the trade. I'll have to chase him down again, since I could not wait for him because I had to deliver some cars two guys bought off me.

And no, I don't have the 2000GT $TH, I was gonna trade my Shelby Supersnake $TH for it.

EDIT: I don't think that made much sense now that I read my previous post. You see, I was gonna trade the car with the Mattel guy at my local Wal Mart. I met him several years ago wwhen rumagging trough the pegs of another store and asking him whan were they gonna restock new cars, and we started chatting, turns out he also collects and obviously takes advantage of his position as the Mattel guy, but instead of taking all for hisself, he just takes one car for him and leaves the rest. And indeed, I've found almost all of the $THs I have in stores in which he works.

So the other day I ran into him (I don't even know his name nor have his number, because of course he can't give out his number to a client of the store and such) and asked him if the 2000GT had come out, since in the pegs I found 3 regular 2000GTs. He told me he had not seen it, and I told him I'd trade him my Supersnake for the 2000GT, because he collected Mustangs. Well, I ran into him yesterday and he told me he already had the 2000GT, so we agreed to meet today a few blocks from the store to do the trade.

But he didn't show up ):

Dang, sorry Cano. You sound pretty bummed. I'll save the lost 2000GT joke for another time.

P.S. I understood your original post perfectly. Then again, I am a lot closer to Mexico than Andy......

It's ok, the guy really wants the Super Snake and wasn't really interested in the Toyota, so I'm pretty sure of the trade, we just need to work it out. I'll also finally ask him his name and phone number, he could be a really good contact, waht with me having a good number of older Mustangs available (:
