12 Bread Boxes won for $8.50 + a purple Panamera (originally listed for $1.25) as a gift.

Love the yellow Falcon, but I still think they messed up the black one. It would've been epic awesome flat black. :guilty:
Stolen from Lamely:

It's cool, but I definitely prefer the original better. :D

Jason: We are rooting for the same team tonight for once! They just struck first.

Actually quite like the Black version, as it is. But yeah a flatter black probably would have looked a lot cooler.

Ordered a ton of cars, again.

Had an unsmooth trip with a seller who overpriced all his things. He allows best offers but allows up to a dollar off at most. The hell's the point then? On top of which he lists a lot of common cars as HTF and VHTF so I knew he was full of BS. I went ahead and purchased one or two items since no one else had it for any cheaper.

This dummy had this mainline green '09 Ford Focus RS.... according to him it's VHTF, and lists it for $18. I'll shoot up a best offer for $3 at most....declines it. I search up the exact same recolour, and voila I find someone auctioning one for less. Don't bid on it btw. :P

Tell me how this is VHTF?

Before I started buying anything, I asked him - like a new customer - what the term meant. He defines the acronym, and I followed it up with another question asking how he determines what is HTF and what isn't. I receive no response, and he changes the listing. It now no longer states VHTF and the price is no longer in the double digits. yeah, he was asking for $18 for it.

It came out like what, 2-3 years ago? Can you still find it in stores? No. So HTF.

On the contrary, I don't think that's a proper way to categorize common cars, what was considered common and what is actually considered HTF.

Within the hobby of collecting Hot Wheels, I'm lead to believe we don't use "rare" as the term to categorize models of limited numbers, but rather "HTF" and "VHTF". I'd like to hear what you think, but IMO a 2009 mainline car can't shouldn't be labeled as HTF just because it's discontinued. Discontinuing production of something is different than making limited quantities.

For example, First Editions '63 Ford T-Bird. Was made in 1998, and obviously now discontinued. If we go by the formula you suggested, this would be a HTF, no- a VHTF! However, look it up on eBay and see how many people are still selling one today.

I just laugh at them and move on. There's bound to be a cheaper one anyway.

Edit: @ Cano - something coming up on the HWC RLC Club sale that you might want:

Only $9.99 too!

Also, everyone here aware of the Summit '67 Camaro with door lines variation? I'll be looking for one, you guys should keep an eye out. It was an incorrect tooling that was corrected after a short run of the cars was made. AKA you won't see it ever again, so this car will indeed be VHTF.

The doorline itself. That car doesn't normally have one. From what the guy at Mattel could gather from the people that make the tools for the cars, it was a new tool that they accidentally put door lines on and after a short run of production realized their mistake and removed them. Some cars have door handles too.

Oh that's right. That was precisely why I never liked that casting in the first place. Will keep an eye out now.

Also, lol @ "accidentally putting on doorlines".

What's next? "Whoops I wasn't supposed to put headlight tampos on this car"?

:) And's here's something super badass to look at:

Yeah I'm starting to move into sets and special edition stuff with certain castings. Fast Fish and Shelby Cobra included.
