More loose Hot Wheels grabs from June

I need that top.

Are they actually selling the FRS, because the last time I looked I heard it was a fake. Same with the Adventador J.

Where did you hear it was a fake...? :odd: The Aventador J isn't fake either... Oddly, they appear at Toys R Us earlier than the other big retailers in my area. They always seem to appear on the short cards for me first at TRU.

It was on some Model car retail/spotter website can't really remember, but I guess that will be the last time I go to any blog.

Alright, I know I haven't been on in a while and that's because I was too busy not caring about anything on my two week summer "break."

Last weekend my dad and I attended Chryslers At Carlisle to find various parts for our Mopars.
No 5-speed, but there was a set rear window louvers, but I wasn't going to pay $450 for this NOS set!

However, there were countless vendors selling scale cars of all sorts. :D

This is a group shot of what was either loose or that I opened. Sunagon was $2!

Obviously a wretched Duracell Camaro, but it has nice deep lace wheels, so that's why I got it.
The Sport quattro is a Welly and great customizing potential. And I had never come across an intact cement truck, so I picked it up as well.

Classic Matchbox with those colors/tampos. :yuck:
But the Jags were only 50 cents each! The hanging-by-a-thread-windscreen had come the rest if the way off in transit that day, but an easy fix it shall be.

If I didn't make note of the price of the car, they were either 50 cents or a dollar.

Now for the carded stuffs. :)

The blue card Auburn I got for tradebait.

Finally the two FE variations I had been looking for!
The grey interior Tee'd Off and red window Gov'ner. :D

The Sam Posey Challenger was $6 and the Emperor Evo was $5!

And we haven't even got to the good stuff yet!

Even being a Mopar swap meet, I was still surprised to run across these.

A Mercury police car and a Ford Cortina, both Lesneys of course.
However, the P1800 is very similar in construction and quality to Lesney Matchboxes, but isn't one.
The base says: ROAD-MASTER "IMPY" SUPER CARS as well as LONE STAR above MADE IN ENGLAND.

$15, that's all I'm going to say.

I'm still stumped on what I think was a better find, those wonderful Lesney trucks or these Porsches.
The 924 is immaculate and the 928 is damn close.

Suuuupergrabs McPoodle. The Impy Volvo is awesome, got damn.

And 15 bucks for those Lesney trucks was a steal, they seem to be mostly complete, and the green tow truck is extremely difficult to find. Imagine you bought that one for the $15, and all others came for free.

And the Porsches. Oh dear. It is very very very difficult, as you might have imagined, to find the 924 with the hatch rack still in place, and in such minty condition. And of course it very, very, very difficult to find the 928 for a decent price. How much for those?

With the Volvo being well played with and a missing headlight jewel, it has great character. :dopey:

Haha, really. When I started doing a bit of research on the trucks, many of the green tow trucks has missing hooks, which made me feel good. :embarrassed:

Uh oh, I knew you would ask about the price of those Porsches.
Because the seller could see I knew what I was talking about in conversation with him, he knocked two bucks off.
I got them for $13

each.

Sick grabs, Zach. Sick grabs.

That is what you can now get me for the F&F car trade.

Go to mine instead.

This is going to be really nice:

That's not going to be cheap, but I collect Cobras so this is an eventual must-have.

If only they did better wheels...

That's why you wheelswap!

Tsch! It was already out in May apparently. I've already contacted Kevin to grab one for me. Hopefully he's cool with it.

Amazing cars you have there Zach! 👍 Man, the white Supra and the blue Mitsubishi 3kgt were my favorite cars when I had them as a kid.

Any plans to customize or restore some of them back?

I'm real jelly with you Kevin, they have FR-S/GT86 out already?! Gotta find one or two ASAP! Do they have alot of them in stock?

Great score, Zach. Especially digging the Nissan Z's, Supra, the Welly Quattro and those Porsche's. That 924 is mint. 👍

Those are some awesome grabs there Zach:drool:

Went for a look at Toy World today, they'd put out some new/old stock so I grabbed some cars I didn't have:

Then went to Diecast Addicts and picked these up: Veyron Showcar, FG Prototype V8supercar, Shane Van Gisbergen SP Tools Falcon & Alan Grice/Win Percy 1990 Bathurst winning Commodore:

Been wanting one of these for a while, so happy to find it in store, and such nice detail:D

A bit steep, you could probably have chased them down on E-Bay for less, but what the hell, they were there.

That's exactly what went through my mind.
I knew they were overpriced, but I considered the extra money as a premium to having them now instead of waiting forever to find others in that shape.

Yeah, I think I might have paid that for the 928, but I would have alwaked away from the 924. Even so, great stuff, dude.

Also the Daytonas. I've always liked that Matchbox casting. Want one to restore. You should make your car out of one, and glue it to your dash lololol

I'm definitely going to do that with the grey Daytona, that's why I got it and broke it free.
That's an '84 Daytona though and mine's a '90, so I thought maybe I can get creative with some putty and make the nose look like mine. :D

Yeah that would be cool. Also be sure to make a build thread when you finally get that MIVEC engine in.
