Thanks for that A6. My ebay id is commodoreben85.
Thank you, Ben. đź‘Ť Here's the link to everything I have on eBay.
Also word of an EF Civic Hatch.
I'd welcome this also. Also, welcome to the thread.
Anybody has these?

I saw a box today going for 30 US dollars. They look really cool, especially the Nurburgring Package, and I wanted to get them but I'm almost broke after discovering the joy of importing stuff recently... :ouch:
I've entertained the idea of buying a single one, but they didn't look realistic enough for my taste. I'd probably prefer a Kyosho to that one. *I see Andy made similar comment.
Also saw one of this.

I've seen it on eBay. It's awesome!

Hey man, if I can't get over the fattened appearance, then I just can't, kay? I can't help it.

but that's why I tend to like Hot Wheels a lot more.

Or Matchbox.

Or Tomica Limited for that matter.

Nice. I've observed some weird stuff on my end. The 60th Anniversary Gallardo police car(relisted) & mainline Vector went to a buyer who used the "buy it now", but the biggest surprise has been this beat up Kenworth Aerodyne(I think it's called?), I think by Matchbox. By far most hits, but not one watchers. Probably due to how beat up it is.

Nice! I like the little details like the 'F' logo and the Lexus badge, but the headlights and taillights are :ill:
The sharpness of the LFA is absent in that casting. That's why I ain't big on these Tomica series.

Yeah they do look kinda crude, but they're 1/64 scale after all. Luckily I didn't make that impulse buy. :scared:

It's been a while since I've posted here...

As Lamley posted:

2014 model Toyota 2000GT!

Also word of an EF Civic Hatch.

Oh man, First the Datsun 620, then the AM DB5 and this 2000GT is a must!!! I like the design on it though.

Looks like 2014 is gonna be good.

I have, but I decided to break off the set and get the normal and the Nurburgring Package. The rest were sold to a friend.

It was sold in major toy stores 2 years ago (thanks to our Tomica distributor, Bankee  )

30 USD is still quite reasonable for that set, as it was the SRP when it was officially sold here 2 years ago.

I am soooo full of jelly at the moment! A LFA 1:64 scale?!?! I wanted to get the AA 1:18 version, but I can't right now :(.

I would love to get the set, but for $30 and I'm in the middle of buying things and saving, nope. But do Kyosho make a LFA. I though I saw one before.

I hope HW or MB does a LFA in the 2014 lineup.

And @R1600Turbo: I dropped you a PM in your box.

Yeah they do look kinda crude, but they're 1/64 scale after all.

1:64 scale castings have proven to show accurate detail... like Kyoshos or high-end Tomicas. Some die makers don't put in the same level of effort or their supplies/tools aren't as good.

So, generally Kyosho makes the best 1/64 scales?

Well I wouldn't jump to that conclusive statement so soon. The point I was making was that despite how 1:64 scale castings are bound to lose out on tight details larger castings can do, that doesn't necessarily mean Tomica's weaker castings are justifiable when there are other castings of the same scale with sharp detailing out there.

Kyosho was one example of a brand that has an excellent record of highly-detailed castings. M2 is another, as well as Johnny Lighting and CM's. As for whom does the "best", that I wouldn't have an answer for. That would come down opinions based on an agreed criteria of judgement. I see things I like about Kyosho I don't see with M2 and vice-versa for instance.

Yeah, and not all Kyosho 1:64 models are something to be so desired for. They are notorious for having bad paint jobs. AUTOart 1:64 models are the best when it comes to that category.

But variety is what Kyosho is best known for, especially in the 1:64 scale.

Aoshima is known for making 1:64 scale models of popular JDM tuner cars such as the MINE'S R34 GT-R.

Hotworks briefly made 1:64 scale models of D1GP machines. It's really saddening that they stopped it.

It is. I have their Revolver Motorsports AE86 drift car and it's awesome, extremely detailed, steerable front wheels for drifting stance display, TE-37 replicas, excelently replicated paint job with all the sponsors and such, separate-piece taillights if I remember correctly. And they're freaking hard to find.

That's pretty to look at. Seeing them all parked up in a scenery. That'd be a cool way to store away your cars without making it look blatantly obvious you're trying to cram them all onto one shelf in your display case. Maybe I should do something similar, but have it hung on the wall? You get a top-view wall-hanging low-profile diorama. woot?

Dust. Lots of dust.

Absolutely.

Had a request once, like that, for luminous cars pasted on the wall that was a dark background with other luminous objects (stars, suns, odd planets, and space-walkers coming out of the cars, etc......

Look good when the lights were off. :D

Dust. Lots of dust.

"Two men look through the bars . . .
One sees the dust . . . one the stars.. . .

I pulled out some of my Corvettes, and threw them onto my track/city construction (which is awfully scattered with dust from the construction, foamcore, sawdust, etc. and of course, as Jason points out (urgh,) lots and lots of skin cells. All my own of course since no one else ever comes into this room, if ever, rarely.

This is what I do when trying to imagine the city I'm trying to make, especially when I'm looking to proportionate all the elements. Hotwheels are compressed, slammed, smashed, and squished to fit the standard they have, and that causes havok on the cars proportions, and from there the fakeness extends to the dioramas I do.

Now why am I discussing that in here? I am going to do it there, of course, in greater detail - and you'll be looking at cars over there that are not merely dust-covered, but on fire.

What I was doing was just showing of some of my Corvette collection - seated there for a few days collecting dust as I enjoyed eyeballing them every time I came into that room. I have done a lot of construction since then, and the dust is now worse.

Thank God I own these cars. :D

Alright . . . we just had a big conversation about dust. So much for my sociological skills.

Oh! Look! Some exciting dust!!!

That looks more like smoke, yo.

Giant shadowbox frame beats dust. Too bad the damn wood shop at my school has so little free time slots for other people to use it.

I need to get another shadow box for my Madd Propz. They are taking up too much space in my cabinet.

They are, but even South Texas has no info on them, and they got like every variation of cobras... or so I thought. Has that melja person shipped that gold cobra yet? I saw they listed another one for $45.
