That Supra is money in the 🤬 BANK!!!!!

You guys know what happened to Paul Walker(I'm a fan of his & F&F films). I have that Walmart exclusive Supra from Fast the Furious? I was thinking I should add that to future wheel swap candidate, so I bid on one........ It's $24.50 + shipping right now on eBay. One I was watching's only up to $7.50....... *edit - second one actually did close for $7.50 plus shipping!
You know you guys are bad for a broke guy like myself! I've spent so much on diecast this year but need to scale back on larger pieces like I keep telling myself.

Not sure why I talk myself out of sticking go most 1/64 since I like them more and easier on the wallet usually. Granted there few cars I had to have in larger scales and hopefully I can score the Toyota Baja trucks for fair price since those are my grails (along with the auto art 1/18 ones)
Cheaper & more compact. Both are huge incentive for me. You can get Baja trucks in 1/64 too you know. I got two I'd sell. :P
Well it's not like I bring the list with me everywhere I go. I only use the labels when I need to refer back to my library. It serves to remind me of cutting down continually. That said, once I complete some more castings, I'll stop those too and will likely eventually scale my ongoing finds to less than 10 cars. After that, I'll probably move onto 1/24 customs.

P.S. It's only castings I've bought in the past. It doesn't cover all castings. I'm a little more reserved than that!
In denial..... sad...... reminds me of that pathetic fellow in Oregon who says he doesn't "collect"......
Wasn't aware that you have one now. :odd: :P
There it is!(read above)

Walked outside yesterday to see one of my real riders was flat. Didn't have any neo's for a wheel swap, so I had to hitch a ride with someone to work until after when I could get a new real rider for it.

(Unfortunately that is a true story and yesterday sucked, but whatever)

You only joined for the giveaway. Get out of here, scum!

I am truly disappointed to read this indeed as I've been reading this thread for a long time now. Especially seeing it from you as i am fan of so-called "Epic Collage" blog. Anyway you just proved assholes are all over the place. will post no more

:D

Got my Gulf GT40 today. :)

Same here! Looks great, by my estimates the porsche and beetle will be here Wed and Thurs. Hopefully, since we're expected to get some winter storms Thurs evening/Friday.

Ohhhhh. (I hope I can find one with good tampos, cause the one in the photos is.... :yuck:)

That looks pretty nice. 👍

Sucks about your flat yo. My coworker had two flats, both on the same side on his Ram overnight, but he has like four cars..... I've yet to see either of my Gulf cars. Also waiting for three random purchases, too.......
What could have been Mazda's Rotary supercar.
I generally go for realism(awesome model, by the way), but for this particular model, I have to go with this vintage Tomica version:

Have to be with the same exact wheels, also. Most I've come across have different wheels. One of those childhood cars for me.

If anyone in the U.S. needs the RLC/HWC Baja Bruiser, this seller has it for $13.49.

Hi guys,
Hope you are well!
I think i stepped with the wrong foot here. Please accept my apology. Do not want to spam you.
To be a part of this forum is a joy for me.

Few questions i have.

Why the hack Tomica Limited Vintage cars are selling with crazy (for me at least) prices on ebay? Are they hard to find in stores?

I would've though the $30 range is normal for Tomica Vintages. Have you seen them for lower (on a consistent basis)?

I just went 5 feet deeper into the evils of collectorism. I dropped $30 on a single Land Rover. :ill:

well, 30$ for a single car is a lot to me at least :P i've seen cars selling for about 15-20$ a piece but wonder why.

are they not seen in Asian stores for normal 1-5$ price tag?

Well, even TLVs here in the Philippines exceed 20 USD. They are that expensive. There are stores here that sell them, albeit they get it from either online, or in the case of my acquaintance, he gets them from Japan.

It's unusual for us considering how we think of Hot Wheels or Matchbox for 1:64 cars, but do remember that these two brands make toy cars, whereas Tomica Limited Vintages are one of many brands/series that produce diecast models. They're two very different things that we've slowly blended together thanks to Mattel getting licensing to make replicas of real cars for a low price. They look accurate to the real thing, but (for the most part) no where near the the accuracy of a detailed model. Tomica Limited cars are fairly high-end for 1:64 cars. The attention to detailing is immaculate compared to their regular series which you can find for the $5 price tag you were expecting.

$30 is indeed a lot when we've all been exposed to $1 Hot Wheels for some time, but that's because that's a toy car with headlight decals printed on the bonnet, wheels bigger than the other and the lack of side mirrors.

You can also expect to see other high-end models from Kyosho and AutoART. There's also Greenlight, CM's M2 and Johnny Lightning that's more affordable. Then it's Tomica (regular), Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Maisto being the lower-end.

edit: As Lamley followers probably know, F&F cars are now being listed with the late Paul Walker's name on it. Scumbags I say. I ranted a bit on HotWheelsCollector forums. Go sign up and agree with this post to put a seller to shame should they ever read it. :P

Goes to show how often I frequent that forum lol.

Anywho, a box arrived and for once in my life, for once in my life, I don't even:

Same seller who sent me unwrapped cars...

"Maybe the box got crushed?" you're thinking....

Hmm....

I'd be pretty sure the seller wouldn't sell me this POS. I've bought from him too many times to know that.

I had a raised suspicion about the box being a replaced one when I found the customs form was attached to a crunched piece of cardboard that wasn't part of the box received. Turns out I was right. It wasn't the seller's fault. This time, USPS totally screwed up and even admitted so on the turned-over note stuck to the box, but thankfully only one of ten cars were damaged. It was an unpainted insert variation too. :grumpy:

Woo! Carded Lot of 42, opened at $12, ended at $20! Still lost money though!
Please tell me that you were on acquisition end of that transaction......

Why the "heck", right? :D I certainly don't consider them as hacks! As for the prices, they are pretty spendy to begin with. I think I generally see them start around at $10 or so. Unfortunately, popular models go pretty fast, and the prices start rising. I believe I've paid as much $30+ for high-end models. I prefer them over almost anything though, including (nicer)collectible hot wheels, Kyoshos, etc.

Which manufacture? I can't wait to see this one. :P
 nice custom Toyota, dude.
Godzilla's slipper edition?

Acquisition? Nope. Someone wanted it more badly than someone else.

Manufacture: Matchbox. Rarity? Rare.

By the time it was sold here, it was around 12 USD.
Thanks for the reply. Any idea how much they may be worth today? Like with the Hot Wheels version, I know AutoArt version went up quite a bit in value, but I just paid $29.99 for one(includes shipping). I'm sure I didn't make a killing, but I'm hoping I didn't pay above resale value either.

Usually, I pay attention to pricing trend on cars I'm interested in, but I can't even remember the last time I actually came across one of these.

Edit:
I can only find one. 59.95. Free postage, though.
Ah, I didn't see that one. One I ordered is here. It looks nice, but different than the one from eBay. Oh, well. I've been wanting one anyway(pretty much all of us who doesn't have one lol). Thanks J-Dawg!

Wouldn't worry about things like the resale value, $30 w/shipping sounds like a great deal if you ask me. 👍 Certainly a hell of a lot better than the one I found.

Just sold my Walgreens Battery Honda Civic on eBay. :(

I'm having mixed feelings and I haven't even shipped it yet.

Sold my SEMA SHOW model last week to a guy in Singapore.

Must keep telling myelf it's more room for the 80s cars I truly want. :D

I've never even heard of this Civic.

Resale value is huge to me on spendier cars. :D

P.S. I bought this from Suprakid/Marc on TTP(I'm repeat customer), and he says now that he has two accounts on TTP. One from the diecast shop he now works for, and his original Superkid account. He says that he can combine shipping on cars from either account. 👍

Some collectors here sell it from 15-20 USD
