You only joined for the giveaway. Get out of here, scum!
I am truly disappointed to read this indeed as I've been reading this thread for a long time now. Especially seeing it from you as i am fan of so-called "Epic Collage" blog. Anyway you just proved assholes are all over the place. will post no more

@juvcho, Was only a joke, guy. Certainly wouldn't make any sense to throw a laughing emote if I was serious, now would it? And if I really cared if you joined just to participate, wouldn't you think I wouldn't have let you play the the first place?

And what's this "proving" thing? That's just silly.

Aside from that, glad to hear you're a fan of the blog. I think you're the first to openly say so. Even the regulars here don't care as much, so I appreciate hearing that. Thanks! :)

Not only assholes here, juvcho - stay for the good people - whoever you think they are. 👍

I am sorry, didn't mean to say assholes are all over this forum but on our beloved planet Earth.
still you guys built very friendly and interesting community but yet, better be just aside reader instead of active member from now on (not that i have been one).

P.S. being a member since Sept 2011, just didn't make sense to post anything as my collection is a tiny piece compared to yours.
best of luck

The point of this thread isn't a measurement of the size of our collections, @juvcho. Yes we share what we own and more often recent purchases, but that in no way means those who aren't as devote aren't welcome here.

I didn't come in here being an active member with a large collection either. I started collecting back in 2011 (or 2010) with probably 50 cars or so. Then these other dimmy-jimmys got me hooked like a spoiled kid.

Post your collection if you're passionate about the hobby. Talk about your buys, your favourite cars, share stories at the store, talk about that other collector you came into contact with who has messy teeth, or even the best finds on eBay or something. We do all that, not just count our cars.

Also, I would like to say that friendliness doesn't restrict behaviour to only thoughts literally of positive nature. I happen to make quite a lot of jabs (albeit tad harsh for some). Other times it gets light-hearted in here. I apologize if it was too much for you, but please don't take such feeble words to heart.. especially on the internet too. There's much worse out there.

@ juvcho - Don't worry about the size of your collection - sizes fluctuate. Especially if one is doing nothing else but buying and selling (which unfortunately this 'collection' discussion has generally become lately - even with the wide variety of Private Chat tools for private transactions that Jordan has provided.) There's no peeing contest here that everybody partakes in.

This thread also has a huge amount of beautiful collections displayed - in a variety of styles and passions. I joined this discussion way back when it was a mere 2000 posts, and it has grown considerably - because we do have fascinating conversations on all aspects of collecting, from sourcing, to history, to maintenance, storage, rarity, etc, etc - and there are many collectors in here with just a few cars - sometimes just half a dozen - but it's still their 'collection', and proud of it. Try to take it off their hands and you'll see.

I have visited people with small collections in a glass cabinet and might say: 'Hey, can I have that blue Dodger?' 'No! Eff off!' I'll hear.
"How about that old pink RLBB? Looks used. I'll give you a new Gremlin for it." I'll suggest.
"Get out of my house!"

By joining in AOS's competition you were contributing more than I did to it - so feel free to discuss and join in again - posting huge amounts of cars is not the only thing we do in here. ;)

There is also an ignore button you can use. It's a big little planet. Sometimes how Andy comes off is lost in translation.

Found a Fire-Eater Treasure Hunt (my 2nd; that's now a total of roughly 36 T-Hunts), B Engineering Edonis, and Pontiac Firebird Funny Car today. Also found a 1:24 scale NASCAR car at a thrift store, which will be further described in the Scale Model thread.

And to Cano, thank you for the value on the Majorette.

In regards to our problem hoser child from up north, clearly, he was kidding around, but it doesn't look like English is the main language for juvcho? It's a simple misunderstanding & I hope juv decide to stay.

juvcho - When I joined here, I didn't even have a "collection". I think I had like several new cars, and box of older random hot wheels, Tomicas, etc., in a box. I had no clue what I had, they weren't worth anything, and guys like Cano & Jason(R1600 or whatever) pretty much had to teach me everything about this hobby. Today, I know my collection has grown, because I get a hate mail from Photonrider every now & then(this is a joke) about my cars.

Good news to those of us who ordered the autographed BRE Datsun Bluebird:

I wonder how much of its scarcity would contribute to value? I'm hoping a lot, but my knowledge on collectible's limited to say the least!
I don't like Queen.
:banghead:

Cool video though!
That's an image I'm not going to be able to get out of my head for a while. :boggled: 👍
And it's all free!!! You are always welcome bud.
picked this up for a nice opening bid:tup:
Jiminy christmas, good going. 👍
bit of size difference though
I think I have both of those, but never compared them side-by-side. One is Dream Tomica, obviously, the other one 1/64 Jada?
It just shipped, cracker! Just shipped. :D
Cracker? His real name's Dan, and he's a Brit! On a serious note, I got the notice on the GT40 & 917K. Kind of excited, but the Drag Bus is the big prize!

Merry Christmas to me. I had bought some cars back in December or something, taken them all out loose and shoved them in my pocket since I had too many to carry back in my napsack. Then I forgotten all about it.

Pulled out 5 early 2013 mainlines, like a freebie.

Apparently we are getting that car in the mainline this year, without the hood vent. So says T-Hunted, although I haven't seen pics.

I wish they were all $3 & came with real riders.

Edit: I thought I was talking to Andy. What is up with the avatars!

I had a different avatar but apparently it was an accidental copy of someone else's and they freaked out (:P) so I changed it to a red "6" which is part of the logo for my GT6 racing series. Blam.

I cut cars off my list so I can use that money to spend more on the highly sought releases. It's simply a shift in focus and a way to control impulse.

Plus I'm not huge on the CRX. A lot of cars I've been buying were impulsive purchases. Even those planes were too.

Again, lots of cars I look at and pass on them and I don't keep a list just to remind myself I shouldn't buy them. :P

No, silver's fine thanks. :sly:
Funny you should post that, I may have something similar in the mail. ;)
 Might arrive a bit late though:embarrassed:
I knew it was a must have:D

Thanks mate:tup: Sure is, out of my lot from last week, just had to open it:D

Thanks Cano:tup: it's a really nice looking truck too, I didn't even notice it until after I'd won and went back to have a good look at the pic

I have seen the pic T-Hunted refers to. No one has verified if it is legit, so no one will post it. The model is white with no hood vent. Front and rear tampos as well.

You know you guys are bad for a broke guy like myself! I've spent so much on diecast this year but need to scale back on larger pieces like I keep telling myself.

Not sure why I talk myself out of sticking go most 1/64 since I like them more and easier on the wallet usually. Granted there few cars I had to have in larger scales and hopefully I can score the Toyota Baja trucks for fair price since those are my grails (along with the auto art 1/18 ones)

Well it's not like I bring the list with me everywhere I go. I only use the labels when I need to refer back to my library. It serves to remind me of cutting down continually. That said, once I complete some more castings, I'll stop those too and will likely eventually scale my ongoing finds to less than 10 cars. After that, I'll probably move onto 1/24 customs.

P.S. It's only castings I've bought in the past. It doesn't cover all castings. I'm a little more reserved than that!
