Civic looks amazing, Jason. 👍
My beef today is with the USPS. Saturday morning, I track my RLC Silverado, because I'm childish & impatient. It says it's being sorted at the post office my p.o. box is located. I plan to head out there & pick it up, but by the time the post office has closed, it still said sorting. THAT NIGHT, I click on the tracking again, it now says 10:45am - ready for pick up.
Today, post office is closed for holiday(that only they & bankers get). Damn you postal service!
Not anywhere near perfect but my camera sucks so I try my best.
Clean & accurate. 👍
Same here, though only about 3 or 4 stores carry them total, out of 8 or more. Actually, not a SINGLE premium Hot Wheels line has been stocked with new cars since maybe late October. I wanted to collect several Retros and Cool Classics but have since given up. Damn shame that Mattel has little-to-no control over their product actually getting out to stores and instead being limited to hobby/online dealers. Maybe they don't care, I don't know.
Retro Entertainment has been non-existent around here, except for really outdated cars. Last cars I've found were Magnum P.I. Sunagon & Island Hopper. Miraculous on those, really.
I take that back, collectors around here had plenty of shots at theose pop culture candy cars(Skittles, Three Musketeers, etc.). They weren't bad. 👍
Yeah, like you said if they did 10k of a casting and it didn't "click" they'd be stuck with a lot of stock, as you can see in the shop. I think they decided they would rather piss off a few people and have guaranteed sell-outs than get stuck with inventory sitting around.
I don't know what people see in that Drag Bus, but they could probably sell 15k runs of that one. I only bought the Gulf Drag Bus to complete my Gulf set, it's one of those castings that board members "stain their pants" over but I just don't get. Yeah it's heavy, but so are several other ones that look a lot better.
But I mean even that bland-o buick grand national (like the car, but they've done it before) and the honky tonk texas car both sold out on their first day if I remember right. Almost everything was a guaranteed sell out.
Results really are unpredictable, with some exceptions like Drag Bus, Blown Delivery, etc. I do like Drag Bus...... It's a great casting, but to be honest, I think the demand do bring some prestige to the car.
I'd like one to open but I can't waste $50 on a car at the moment.
As you know, I did it. Like you, I was against the idea at the beginning, but I saw some prices these were going for? I got the impression that this was going to be as big of a hit as the Vintage Racing model, except this car is even more limited, so it may not be done picking up steam in a long run.
I'm keeping the BRE autographed version carded, but opening my second one. Even loose, if you paid
only lol $50, I think you can sell it for more down the line.
Found all these beauties today, $3 AUD each
I'd been so jealous..... in the early 2013!
Just playing, still good cars. I did have the opportunity to buy those cars, but ended up picking up just the Vector, '57 Chevy & Beetle(this one's now at Ben's house in Australia). Had I the chance to get them cheap again, I'd have picked up a Civic & '56 Ford truck. 👍
Mind if I give it a go? I treat these things almost like a puzzle.
I was just coming to this conclusion.
There's a point where the camera can't focus on an object that's too close.
My old Nikon point & shoot was absolutely useless on taking close-ups. Shopping for replacement, I made it a point to look for camera excelling at taking close up shots. Maybe the numbers they used were "macro", but I don't remember.
Called it a Jeep because it looks a helluva lot more like one than a Bronco
No Johnny! Don't say that either!!!!!
BTW thanks for the double post.
👍
I go off of what STD says.
STD's bad.
