Just got back from the store and found the cars below. I got two cars for customizing that won't be posted unless someone asks, but one has a factory defect on the passenger seat, rendering it useless.

I might customize the 'cuda, but that depends on its eBay selling prices. Checking now as we speak. Apologies for the picture not being the best.

EDIT: The 'cuda will be customized.

Awesome Bronco, but yes, let's never refer to Bronco as a Jeep.
Called it a Jeep because it looks a helluva lot more like one than a Bronco, but yeah, a Jeep =/= a Bronco (or vice versa).

It's likely reflecting light from somewhere. Have you ditched the 911 for the M1 or is that another display case?

BTW thanks for the double post.

Still could've just edited that in the previous post. Not like we wouldn't see it. Just sayin'. :)

Do you have any other photos of that Porsche 911 custom by any chance? I was interested to see more of it.

Oh BTW, are you positive that the Super Speeders Kroger Exclusive RX-7 was from 2013? Do you recall it being out in like January or February? STD says so, but going by the photo angle I took my RX-7 at, it's either in those months or it was 2012. The Yellow Aventador was taken at the same angle too from the same foil packs.

The 911 is in pieces at the moment, was re-doing the paint and got side tracked.

I go off of what STD says. Remember new cars come out months in advance (2014 cars hit in August?) so even if they hit the stores in late 2012 it could still be a 2013 car. I have a couple still in the package at home, will check.

Edit: @AOS- copyright on the back of the package is 2012, so it is a 2013 car.

Civic looks amazing, Jason. 👍

My beef today is with the USPS. Saturday morning, I track my RLC Silverado, because I'm childish & impatient. It says it's being sorted at the post office my p.o. box is located. I plan to head out there & pick it up, but by the time the post office has closed, it still said sorting. THAT NIGHT, I click on the tracking again, it now says 10:45am - ready for pick up.

Today, post office is closed for holiday(that only they & bankers get). Damn you postal service!

Not anywhere near perfect but my camera sucks so I try my best.
Clean & accurate. 👍
Same here, though only about 3 or 4 stores carry them total, out of 8 or more. Actually, not a SINGLE premium Hot Wheels line has been stocked with new cars since maybe late October. I wanted to collect several Retros and Cool Classics but have since given up. Damn shame that Mattel has little-to-no control over their product actually getting out to stores and instead being limited to hobby/online dealers. Maybe they don't care, I don't know.
Retro Entertainment has been non-existent around here, except for really outdated cars. Last cars I've found were Magnum P.I. Sunagon & Island Hopper. Miraculous on those, really. I take that back, collectors around here had plenty of shots at theose pop culture candy cars(Skittles, Three Musketeers, etc.). They weren't bad. 👍
Yeah, like you said if they did 10k of a casting and it didn't "click" they'd be stuck with a lot of stock, as you can see in the shop. I think they decided they would rather piss off a few people and have guaranteed sell-outs than get stuck with inventory sitting around.

I don't know what people see in that Drag Bus, but they could probably sell 15k runs of that one. I only bought the Gulf Drag Bus to complete my Gulf set, it's one of those castings that board members "stain their pants" over but I just don't get. Yeah it's heavy, but so are several other ones that look a lot better.

But I mean even that bland-o buick grand national (like the car, but they've done it before) and the honky tonk texas car both sold out on their first day if I remember right. Almost everything was a guaranteed sell out.
Results really are unpredictable, with some exceptions like Drag Bus, Blown Delivery, etc. I do like Drag Bus...... It's a great casting, but to be honest, I think the demand do bring some prestige to the car.
I'd like one to open but I can't waste $50 on a car at the moment.
As you know, I did it. Like you, I was against the idea at the beginning, but I saw some prices these were going for? I got the impression that this was going to be as big of a hit as the Vintage Racing model, except this car is even more limited, so it may not be done picking up steam in a long run.

I'm keeping the BRE autographed version carded, but opening my second one. Even loose, if you paid only lol $50, I think you can sell it for more down the line.
Found all these beauties today, $3 AUD each :D
I'd been so jealous..... in the early 2013!

Just playing, still good cars. I did have the opportunity to buy those cars, but ended up picking up just the Vector, '57 Chevy & Beetle(this one's now at Ben's house in Australia). Had I the chance to get them cheap again, I'd have picked up a Civic & '56 Ford truck. 👍
Mind if I give it a go? I treat these things almost like a puzzle.
I was just coming to this conclusion.
There's a point where the camera can't focus on an object that's too close.
My old Nikon point & shoot was absolutely useless on taking close-ups. Shopping for replacement, I made it a point to look for camera excelling at taking close up shots. Maybe the numbers they used were "macro", but I don't remember.
Called it a Jeep because it looks a helluva lot more like one than a Bronco
No Johnny! Don't say that either!!!!!

STD's bad.

Oh, okay.:indiff:

I just scored the Hot Ones Silverado for $4.99, shipped. It's loose, but seller has 9 more available. I'm not that crazy about the paint job, but it was a rarer find in stores, and is a popular casting.
Oh, okay.:indiff:
Didn't mean to rain on your parade. Sorry. As I said though, I'd have still bought the Civic and Ford. Vector's a no-brainer. I bought two myself(one loose, one carded). I JUST WISH IT WAS BLACK.

I made it a point to look for P&S camera excelling at taking close up shots.

Seeing as how it got disregarded, I won't have the opportunity to provide any helpful tips.

Also, how close are you P&S guys getting with the camera? Last I recall, when I was still using a 4.1MP camera, I had it on a tripod sitting about 30-40cm away from the car unzoomed. The resolution was set to the largest, which gives me around 2200 pixels or so. Even though I've capture just about the entire edge of the backdrop as well, the size of the car is big enough that I'd still have to shrink the image after cropping out the backdrop. A little unsharp mask at anywhere between 50%-120% at 0.3 or 0.2 px feathering, and if still required, run the sharpen brush over the part of the car closest to the camera with one or two swipes and you're good on enhancing a focal point.

Nice. Only ever saw that Hot Ones Silverado on the pegs once, glad I grabbed it. Solid deal too. 👍
I remember, J-Rod. I've been envying that one since. :D If you ever get the chance to nab the Decades 80's one, jump on it. I'm not the biggest fan of the casting(says the guy who shelled out $85 for one lol), but that is one of the must haves. I'm going to have to open that one up. Maybe same time I open the RLC one tomorrow.

You know how a Japanese immigrant is reminded that he's Americanized? You roll eyes at the Canadian posting in centimeters. I'd guess 10~15cm.

I still have the Nikon(haven't used it in over a year), this replaced it long ago(I paid only about $136ish?).

I'd guess 10~15cm.

While I'm not absolutely certain on your camera's capabilities, 15cm (half the length of a standard ruler.. or the same length as those dinky little rulers in a geometry set) may be I think a bit too close for your camera to focus on the closest point of the car. When doing 3/4 shots, the closest point would be the corner.

But drawing back on my now-seemingly false memories, some times when you got your camera to focus on the tip of the car, the depth of field would be so high the rest of the car is more blurred than you like, so you end up adjusting the distance until it can get a clear picture of the sides and the back end of the car which then results in the front being out of focus.

Just a friendly reminder: turn off the comments for the Links page. I'm sure you don't need people commenting on two websites.

I think allot of your cars have made their way to my house.

Gonna go to a hobby shop after my class gets done, might buy 2 older hot wheels if they have anything good. Any cars I should look out for besides treasure hunts?

Called BRE again, cars are on their way to them right now then they have to take them to LA to get them signed, so she said early February shipment. :indiff:

Picked up a blue with white stripe 1999 Viper RT/10 and a Auburn 852 from the pinstripe power series. Pics will be up when I get home.

That Silverado does look rather nice. Once I get around to online buying again, I'll definitely keep an eye out. Would go great with the Hot Ones version. 👍

Honestly surprised a6 has anything left.

Anyone else find a hot wheels cool classics Shelby Daytona coupe? Found one at ToysRUs today. Found some old cars at my grandmas house including some surprises.
