13 stores today. Looked at so many RX-7's I'm sick of them now. Only found a Scorcher I didn't have and a couple variations that are not important. Lame sauce. Tomorrow I will post one of them so you guys can play a guessing game. :P
All RX-7's I've seen lately doesn't have the roll cages. Same for you?

The multipacks I found yesterday both contained the rollcage RX-7. I'm still baffled how you managed to find it in a singles, @a6m5. I want to dismiss it and call it a multi-pack exclusive for my blog page, but now this is just bugging me to no end.

Also, as a follow up to my previous post, this is what the Stars of Cars cards look like.

As far as I know these only come in short cards, which would strengthen my belief these were released in Europe only. he base of these two cards as well as the cards on the back has the Dinky logo branded on it. Unsure if that suggests they previously owned the casting. If anyone has more info, please speak up.

Kuda is a beauty. 👍 That RLC/HWC Maverick's been on my radar. I'd like to get that one eventually. Nice cars!

Thanks, you should pick up the Maverick, it's still in the store! Grab it! :P

Excellent stuff Dwight. Particularly digging the HWC Duster.👍

Thanks! Duster has been on my desk lately :D

I shake my fist at ye!

Interesting thing I found on after reading the back of this is that in the interior of the 380, there's a dog sitting in the backseat. It's actually true! It's very difficult to see it in the Final Run recolour due to the black-tinted windows.

Ha, yeah I'm fairly sure I have that glitter pink one somewhere :lol:

I have one on a card, and seen posts on HWC about people finding them. Definitely not an multi-pack exclusive.

About 90% cage-less. Most cars with a cage are in multi-packs though.

Edit: Here's what I found last night.

Good spot on the chrome wheels. Would you call it an error that coincidentally sets itself up to be a variation?

*sorry - some weird glitch is forcing "quote" on the entire post!
**I tried *remove formatting* and it fixed it!

Hey, you my photographic evidence, and my bigfoot weren't blurry like the bigfoot picture taken by Gotbeefboy! :D

I am of the impression that, last time I liked Matchbox cars were right around when I started collecting hot wheel cars. Those cars in the pic look sharp! Entire time, I speculated that the couple of reasons why I don't care for Matchbox anymore were a) No longer impressed by their more accurate detailing since having been exposed to the likes of Kyosho, CM's, etc. b) Their selection of cars in the line up. Maybe it was because the Matchbox I liked were somebody else's casting.......... As I typed the last sentence, now I think it's probably more to do with the distribution practices(you mentioning Europe-Onry clicked in my head). It's probably due to particular channel these cars go thru, either in parts, or all of Europe. I really should think before I type!

CM'S 1:64 Lamborghini Jota SVR:
I'm not gonna lie, these Lambos, they sometimes look all the same to me. Don't get me wrong, all of them you post are awesome, and this one does make it very unique to me for its wonderful detailing job, beautiful paint job, and also the manufacture(who won't make cars anymore!). 👍

Edit: oh ho ho that moment when you're right on the tail of a seller who lists cars for low prices. I just snagged a HW Maserati for $2. I left the dark blue one. There's still a few lesser common GT40s for those interested: http://www.thetoypeddler.com/cgi-bin/ttp/ttpdetail_2.cgi?item_id=1796891
One of my favorite GT40's from my collection!

Thanks, you should pick up the Maverick, it's still in the store! Grab it! :P
Damn, I know it dude. I'm waiting to steal it from someone on eBay or TTP though.

Model '57 Corvette!
Bud, this is the hot wheels thread. I'm gonna go out on a limb & say that the Corvette is a larger scale? :P Nice choice of car though. I've also liked those cars since I was a kid. 👍

Won't hear a peep out of me. I'm all for keeping stuff like that sealed. :)
I've gone 60% or so to the dark side(ie Cano-side) already. If it's something I plan on keeping, I often just open them. Very enjoyable to be able check them out with your hands, and without the packaging in the way. Only ones I still have troubles opening are the high value cars, like RLC(though I still open most of them lol), and cars I really like the cards they are on(example: Pop-Culture Flash Gordon Drag Bus). I now have 9 standard loose car cases(holds up to 48 cars, ea) + 3 fishing lure boxes I use to house the long/oversized cars.

Same. Rather like the Kenworth and custom Corvette from that series too.
If that Kenworth had real riders, I might've been in trouble.

Hit the BB Code Editor button on the top right when editing your post to see all the extra BBcode poop you've left everywhere . It's not a glitch: it's one of the most annoying bits of Rich Text Editor.

I just tried it, but it's not showing me anything I wasn't seeing originally. It also keep adding "[/quote]" at the end of my post randomly. I don't know what's going on.

Variation, a few of them being found.

Actually stumbled upon an untouched dump bin at 1pm today. Scored two super '07 Mustangs, 1 zamac set and also grabbed some more 3-packs with errors. Pics later when I get on a real computer.

By the way, what's going on with the new ZAMAC cars? I can't figure out if I'm late to the party, or early.

I don't think I could ever get sick of seeing carfanatics diorama.

Another 10 pack. In this one there are a Ford Ranchero, SRT Viper (the car I got the pack for), Dodge Corolla AE86, Chevy 1500, Cobra Daytona and Im not sure what the 2 fantasy cars are. Head over to the Model thread and Lego threads to checkout my latest model and sets.

I think 1hotwheeler has got to be the best seller on TTP ever. Snagged this guy and this guy like omfg. I could scream like a fan girl right now. I also grabbed two Collectible Cobras for $2 each. The latter's worth $15 loose too! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

My recent finds at Target

Pointers: pull the camera back a bit so it gets the focus on the point of the car closest to the camera. The background is less important for shots like these. 👍

I've bought from the seller couple of times, but I generally try to avoid him due to high combined shipping cost.

Oh yeah? They are a tad higher than most sellers I suppose, but that's why you snag the stuff he crazily undervalues. :D But I'd rather buy a ton of stuff for low prices and pay one somewhat overpriced shipping bill, than to pay for 4 or 5 other shipping bills. The lower price per item offsets the slightly higher shipping by a huge margin. Of course, I'm comparing this to other sellers, not a single lot.

I don't even care all that much about that Kool & Kustom Affinity '58 Thunderbird, but eBayers are listing those for $12-18... and there is a demand for that item (4 bids on a $2.75 auction). May just take it for its wheels or sell it back in the future.

Yeah, it's not "high" high, but certainly more than I'm used to. Most TTP sellers treat you good on loose car shipping.
What do you mean? New set for 2014.
Sorry, missed the post between some multi-tasking. When I was at Walmart Friday, there were no signs of ZAMAC cars, and I didn't now if I had missed it already, or maybe they haven't arrived yet.

Some people have reported not seeing any in the new bins. Only mattel knows why.

The first 3 are supposed to be E cases I guess. I don't hunt for mainlines much anymore though, so I haven't seen any.

Nice pics. I have never seen that Derailed monster truck before, that's pretty cool. Will keep an eye out for it. Also nice pickup on the 10 pack, looks like several cars from upcoming F case I think.

Are Derailed monster truck for real(life)? Thanks for the info on the ZAMAC by the way guys. 👍

a6-san, CM'S can actually compete very well with Kyoshos, and I got that Lambo for half the price of a Kyosho 1:64.

The only issue I have with CM's is the rubber on the tires that can quickly come off.

My biggest gripe with CM's are the wheels. They are horrible, but yeah, you know I love CM's, too!

A big gripe with CM's is that they have antennaes which can be a pain to install, but the biggest of them all is that they don't come with a display case to safety secure these things from the off-chance of warping the antennae through some unthinkable event where something falls on it or when it falls on something up-side down.

I have all these marvelously colourful, painstakingly-detailed scale models. But I can't display a single one of them without having to accept such risks and to deal with the inevitable outcome of dust building up. :grumpy: [/first-world problems]

Also edit (49mins later): I think it's safe to say this one is a staples in all of our collections, so please go out of your way to get one:

edit (1hr 13mins later): Some nice fellow is documenting his entire Tomica collection on this google site. It serves as a neat reference for finding release #. Use it in tangent with Tomica Fanclub Forum's database to find release dates super quick.
