It's an unpainted body after all.

@RCKakashi14 I notice you're sharpening your photos to the point of oversharpening. Watchu tryna pull? :sly:

I'm going to try and replicate that 599 one day.

Still experimenting on the HDR Toning plug-in I usually do in my Gt6 photos. White and silver colored cars are tricky....

I don't usually post Hot Wheels castings...

...but when I do, they have to be my favorites. :sly:

Whenever I travel abroad, I make sure to get at least 1 scale model of any brand and scale. I got this 250 GTO from a Walmart in a highway (since my mom loves to shop on the way) near San Francisco in 2011. This was the only Garage model left in the pegs, the rest are regular castings.

I like the 250 GTO, and I believe that it's the greatest Ferrari ever made...

The rest of the trip? I tried sniffing around Walgreens stores in SF, but found nothing that piques my interest. :P

Next one is this 333SP, the only variant that I like:

I don't like the regular ones that have flame tampos on. :P

I mean, come on, it's a proper racing car. It should have numbers and liveries that don't conceal too much of the car's lines.

These 2 Ferraris are just stunning to look at, hence being added in my handful of favorite Hot Wheels castings.

Well..... with your mad skillz, it'll only be matter of time, I'm sure. :D

I still don't get all the gaga over the Fiat, but you can expect to see me go gaga over this one.
Well I only have access to 1 Walmart, 1 Target, and 1 KMart plus a couple grocery stores now so I fear that I may have to get them off eBay. Once I get on my feet at my new place and finally have some extra money, I may start buying cases every month.

That one is one of the better looking ones. Definitely agree with the silly flame decals. They put me off the casting completely after a while.

Some other great looking ones would be:

2008 Ferrari GT 5-pack. It's nice and subtle. All it needs are different wheels.

2011_220.jpg

2011 Thrill Racer - Highway. Tampos aren't too too overdone. They still make plausible racing decals and PR5 is borderline acceptable for the red, though other wheels would make it better no doubt. Not bad for a mainline.

Then there's this:

I've two or three 333SP castings laying around, maybe one other in a multi pack. I'll have to find them. :)

I just got four 2014 ZAMAC cars. Two Hot Wheels Camaro Special Editions, one Hachi-Roku (Toyota AE86), and one Silverado. :D

I've been buying these thread organizers from Walmart?

They screwed me....... Actually, not yet. Nice thing about Walmart was that they were selling these for $9 ea. + free shipping to one of their stores. I get online to order three today, they are now $12, ea. That's like 33% increase, so I shopped around.

While looking around, this time around, I noticed that lot of online stores carry them now, including amazon. Best deal I found was here: wawak.com Nice, low shipping. 👍

It's called "Creative Options Thread Organizer" & I highly recommend this case. 👍

Feel bad for anyone here ordering the Buick Grand National from HWC. Backordered for a..third? fourth? time. Now set to ship 5/27. For those not counting, that's a small 288 days after initial order.

Mattel on the ball hahahah

Still have yet to find any. Same with the red 8c.
Got the Alfa, still haven't seen a single Fiat. Starting to get annoyed.

I haven't seen any F or G cases around here. Until today, when I went to a Wal-mart out of town. 17 miles out of town. Apparently that's how far I have to drive to get any new models! :banghead::banghead:

Did manage to nab the green pagani, fiat, red 8c and the lotus. Didn't really see any F case leftovers though.

Canceled mine a long time ago. Glad I did.

Mark Wahlberg. Priceless.

Picked up three awesome cars today:

Hot Wheels Collectibles(Black Box) Dodge Viper GTS.....

Did I get the blue one?

Or the red?

Both. :D

Also the Tomica Limited Vintage Neo preorder came thru..... on schedule!

Honda Civic SiR LV-N48 & VTi LV-N65

Some of you may remember, but this purchase was inspired by this custom Civic seen on eBay(NOT MINE):

One day, I'll make one like that. I'd have loved to buy this one, but didn't it go for $60 or something crazy?

I found the gray Sesto before.

I left it there.

The lack of surface changes on the extended roof despite how it's like that on the real car, it gives off a generic-toy feel to it I can't find myself putting money down on.

Awesome. I remember when you mentioning these a while back, nice to see you got them on time. 👍
