The NFS talk and the design on that Mustang made me instantly think R34 Skyline. Yet NFS is not the Fast and the Furious.

I would not at all be surprised if the NFS movie crew people took inspiration from that car for the 'stang. When it comes to Hot Wheels, there needs to be a premium line casting of that car. But that thing would sell like hot cakes in Antarctica.

NFS didn't actually design the car. It was a team effort with Ford and Shelby, but I wouldn't doubt the movie made the car more famous then it ever would have been.

Still looks just as off as the prototype pictures were... The whole large rear wheel thing just doesn't work at all with that...especially on RR's. As @Johnny1996 said, I'd love to see a mainline release as it doesn't feel like Retro Entertainment updates that often...

Glad that Mattel's got the Koenigsegg license. Possibility that they'll release...some models like the One:1 or CCX? Also would love to see them make more use out of the Pagani license with a Zonda of...some sorts.

That (silver/blue)R8's one of the few newer Matchboxes I really like. 👍 I also see the resemblance on R34/Super Snake, but I think it's actually fairly common look for Shelby Mustangs. Look at the very first pic of Shelby Mustang on Wiki.

Well...I did say "a Zonda of some sorts." As...there's a LOT of Zonda special editions and what not. R, Tricolore, F, F Roadster, Roadster, Cinque, 760, etc. etc.

As far as the R34, I am hearing some Retro Entertainment rumors. But I have heard many rumors before that didn't materialize.

Might wait until after the 260z ships. Also you'll be sad to know that your favourite Hello Kitty car isn't #1 on the most popular ranking any more.

I had to bro...... Red Baron card was nasty, XJ13 was DIRTY. So dirty I actually cleaned the car inside the case. Sorry for really crappy pics:

Tomica actually made lot of those "Seibu Keisatsu" series cars, and they are all crazy expensive. I loved that show as a kid, and while I love their Skylines, 280ZX & other cop cars, even I can't justify their crazy-expensive pricing. I would like to buy one of those unmarked police cars before all said & done though. I grew up in Japan, and I can only remember seeing those police cars ONCE. They hide like Ninjas.
