3 highly sought Land Rovers. Defender owners be drooling.

Here is one to make you drool:

One of one donated by Mattel. Bought by a collector in Colorado.

Just went through two, full L case dump bins. Here is what I found:

- No treasure hunts
- No supers
- No variations
- No errors
- Not a damn thing

Anyway just remembered that this, is due to be released at the end of the month. Can't wait. :D
I've been really looking forward to that one, too. So glad we are getting AmiAmi preorder deal vs. paying 200%+ markup on eBay. :D
Edit: Greenlight C10 Camper. Credit to the Lamley Group for the pic.
I'm happy with the one I have(same one as yours), but I wouldn't rule that one out. I do like the new color. 👍

Holy moley. Any info on that? Year of supposed release (or year donated if official at all) or series (if any at all)? And what's up with the frosted windows? My head's tilted in fascination.

It is a preproduction model, used for testing. The casting was modified a couple of years ago (you know that), and this was one of the test models. They will rivet it and throw whatever paint is around in the factory, as well as add any wheels they can get their hands on, but I do think they like to have fun with the wheels they add. My guess is we won't ever see these wheels on a production version, but why not a prepro?

It was donated by Mattel to the Matchbox Gathering last July. They donate about 20 preproduction models each year. Some riveted, some not. Some painted, some not. I was very interested in the Defender, but passed on bidding to put all my efforts into winning the BMW 1M prepro. I won, and was glad I had the money to spend. The BMW went very high.

The next Gathering is a little over a month away. There will be more prepros donated by Mattel, and maybe one or two that will interest me. I hope there will be. Mattel should grant me some time to photograph the prepros, like I did last year. Last year's are in this post (scroll down to the bottom):

Yep, think it is going to be a pretty popular model. Again, can't wait to get my hands on it. 👍

Open it. :P

And that's coming from me, I rarely open anything.

Nice weathered Lancia & Tomica Bluebird!

My beef today(@Spacegoat Please read).

I've been expecting that Shell gas station from Japan? I had two TLV shipments, one from AmiAmi(gas station), one from a eBay seller.

Shipped out:
AmiAmi - 5/28
eBay - 6/2

Los Angeles Customs:
AmiAmi - 6/4
eBay - 6/4(!)

Leaves L.A.:
AmiAmi - 6/7
eBay - no scan

Arrival:
AmiAmi - ???
eBay - today

What is it about the gas stations? Last one went AWOL, then showed up scanned in Hawaii. This new gas station, it basically is MIA. It's been missing since Saturday. I'm not a fan of USPS right now.
See @a6m5? He doesn't suck.
BUT I OPEN MORE THAN HE DOES!

Geez, you're having no luck at all lately. The tracking thing didn't work for me, I was only able to track my Z until it left Tokyo after that, nothing. Fingers crossed that everything arrives safe and sound very soon, mate. 👍

Quiet you.

I. LOVE Breaking Bad. 👍 Ben need to check that out like I told him. :D

Yeah, tracking on international packages can be spotty. I'm expecting the worst.

I'm expecting the worst.

Well, hopefully for your sake everything works out in the end. Positive thoughts Shinji, can't tell you how many times I've expected the worst for things I've been waiting for. Stupid slow mail.

I don't know of single vendor in Japan who offers UPS.

I think I'm just being extra impatient, because it's extra hot shipment. I'll give them 24 more hours before I go crazy on them. 👍

:P

nah, its a reproduction, not made in Japan but China now. 40 years anniversary. But still its a lovely car.

Yeah, that's what I thought. The wheels looked odd. And yes, still a lovely car. I'd rock it in a heartbeat 👍

I do believe that is well within your right.
TOMICA CORONA MARK II HARD RED

That is awesome, love it. 👍
Gad, GTP is so slow for me;

Thank god someone mentioned it, GTP's been real slow for me all day too. :/ And that Matchbox Monaco Police car is sweet. 👍 Still yet to see one of those in the wild myself, need a TVR as well.

Honestly . . . it sometimes takes me a half hour to lay down 3 posts. Not worth the time quite often - but I come here to contribute, work, benefit my fellow members. It's a community service at best more often than not.

Have a good day guys - I'm off for a jog, fresh air, and the sunrise. Maybe play with some small cars after that.
