Found these at Northland yesterday. I'm not going back there any time soon because it's worse than Highpoint and harder to get to. Anyway I'm really happy that I found the 296 - a car that's been on my hit list ever since I saw a prototype almost a year ago at the Diecast Expo. It's another stunner from BBR and yet another contender for my model of the year. As for the Lotus 49, it's absolutely fantastic for a "mainline" Hot Wheels car. The scale may be off but I don't care because the value proposition more than makes up for it. If you're going to buy one Hot Wheels car, buy this one.

Found a new Ford Sierra Cosworth to add to the Group A collection. It has become an addiction.

Found these two from a local toystore.

They should have made the Skylines hood traditionally hinged or permanently closed, it doesn't fit well and leaves gaps no matter how you put it on.

The Skyline also comes in purple, don't know if the Supra has different colours available.

The same series also has yellow EK9 Civic and dark red Cefiro.

My 2024 add-ons for the collection, starting with Pop Race's Eva cars:

Toyota's 1st-gen MR2 and 2nd-gen Celica Supra from Para64:

The final one's unique - for my participation in the TGR Philippine Cup (before, it was called Vios Cup), I got a model of the car that I ran since '22. It's the usual corporate GR livery with my #31 and driver name on the side:

Bought this BBR MC12 GT1 a few days ago. It wasn’t originally a purchase I intended, especially considering how my last BBR purchase went , but I spotted it at a model car specialist's, pondered for a bit, and decided to give another chance seeing there's no MC12 in my collection. After all, why not? It's just $20.

Much to my surprise, it actually is quite good. It doesn’t have any painted interior unlike the road versions, but the paint is smooth, I don’t see any places where there’s just no paint, the metal emblems are nicely done and stick pretty well, and the rear wing is actually, AFAI can see, painted, which is something you don’t see often at this scale. And you know what’s something even more uncommon at this scale? The fact that 90% of this car’s livery is done with tampo-printing  None of that ugly-as-sin poorly done decals; there’re decals (the “Aucott” lettering, for example), but you can hardly see the decal film.

I still think BBR’s are kinda a hit-and-miss with their releases and QC, though. There’s no way it could’ve been this bad and still get a pass from the manager. So maybe I’ll stick to buying them from reputable retailers.

Found more of those Majorette Japan series cars.

Evo 9, also available in yellow.

Also the Civic is available in off-white colour and the R34 Skyline comes in blue and purple, with attached hood.

Dunno if that version opens up or not, didn't buy one, but they looked just like in that package picture.
