Yeah I know, it wasn't a question. I brought it up with the driver of the 211 (Patrick O'Neill) and he said it also gives you something to think about before going out there. đź‘Ť

Oh....well I felt like answering some unbeknown question....

More glory.

This car is one of the world's most experienced Elises. Has since been fully restored to showroom quality... only to be detroyed to the pictured state again!

And I've seen some pretty suculant trailer options (Cayenne Turbo pulling 993 Turbo) but you gotta admit, this is freaking sweet:

I haven't been able to sleep lately, so I just did some serious snooping and found some fresh Exige shots. Hope you continue to enjoy.

That Caden GT3 car was sold to a private buyer, who will be racing it in the Australian GT. He said that it cost him "the price of a couple new Exige S's and some spare change"

Worth it?

Okay I know this update only has one photo, but it's worth it. This car was completed at the end of the summer for an American customer by a company simply called Composites. The moulds had to be all custom made, so for the price of this thing, start thinking deep into the 5-figure range. The photos were never shown so a magazine could get the exclusive scoop on the final version, but the manufacturer just couldn't resist after he saw some of the final shots.

It drove at Road America last Friday, and it is a superbike with 4 wheels.

Can't stop staring! Originally the owner wanted to paint it back to the silver it used to be, hopefully he changed his mind after seeing the final.

Ohhh man, keep these coming... You're getting a green Exige S into my dream ten-car garage again

Lovely shots.

My Premo subscription is coming to an end in a few months, so better keep this thread as stocked as possible before I leave it.

Anyone know what track this is? Cadwell?

Certainly looks like it to me. :)

Nice set of shots there, as always...

That Martini livered one 3/4 way down the page is a beauty!

Cadwell is definitely a track that I would love to drive one day.

I don't really consider myself active enough on GTP to renew the subscription (which was kindly offered to me by DA).

I've got a shot of a 211 that might intrest you...

From Goodwood?

Which model (type) is this?

Lotus Exige......

Yes, you've answered your own question though.

Defo is Cadwell. Nice little track đź‘Ť

This is a link to a in-car vid of a few laps in a modified Elise 111s following my step bro's Exige 240R around Cadwell.

Very nice little track, indeed. Nice video. Is this track open for the public?

exigeracer, what I wanted to ask is, are there different types of exiges?
The Lotus in my post looks different than other lotus(es). It's wider and the back of the car looks different. Or is this an older model?

It was a track day at Cadwell Park.

The Exige you posted was the earlier S1 Exige - which was substantially different looking at the back to the S1 Elise it was based on. The S2 Exige looks a lot closer to the S1 Elise at the back.

Cadwell Park certainly is a nice circuit, and pleasingly non-commericial. My dad did a couple of track days with the MV Agusta Owners' Club a few years ago, and reflected that it's a great track for bikes, with all those cambers to ride through. I'd love to go around it someday, in a nice light car or on a bike :)
Add it to my hit list? :dopey:

Cadwell is part of the MotorsportVision group (along with Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Snetterton, and the Bedford Autodrome), so I guess track days turn up fairly frequently if you fancy giving it a shot.

I'll watch that video when I get time to download it, Cracker, sounds nice! đź‘Ť

Nah, from a motoring show called MPH07.

I didn't know they had a 2-11 there. Production has started, so I've lost track of where the 2-11s were. Was it in the regular black/white/yellow colours or the newer Union Jack version?

There was only one style S1 Exige, which was a racer version of the S1 Elise. It looks larger, but that is only because of the flared out clamshells. I love the looks of the S1 Exiges, they're are totally badass, but they didn't go far enough with the S2 Exige from the S2 Elise it supersedes. There was also a track-only version of the S1 Elise called the Motor Sport Elise (seen in the GT games) which has several track goodies (fuel cell, extinguisher, cutoffs, tow hooks, adjustable wing, harness bar, several deletes etc), but is so very similar to the S1 Exige that even I sometimes mistake the two. There aren't any pictured in this thread. One of the options was a single, centred driving position. Very few MS Elises had this, and I don't think I've ever seen any pictures of one.

There are many versions of the S2 Exige, but if they differ visually, it is very slightly.

Just the normal black/white/yellow. If your still intrested I'll post it.

Yeah yeah, go for it.

I like to reserve this thread for tasteful photography (if I posted every Lotus picture I have, the thread would be broken), but as long as your shot isn't blurry or has some bloke's head in the way. It's a free country.

PS the plural of Lotus is Lotus.
