Here's one more track that's in "running and settings", so it'll be quick to get to after buying and modding your car. After this one we'll break into tracks that you have to switch to Arcade mode for.

I see a bigger, more powerful car than I used for Monaco. Will see what I can do.

I was getting around 1:20 to 1:26 in my cars. I'll get more accurate times after I've run errands this morning.

Well, there's the begining of a leader board. Now I need other people to post some times so I don't look like a loner (:

~LoudMusic

i noticed from the last 150K challenge that no one listed the oil change as an upgrade. at $250, it's the cheapest and best upgrade there is :D But, that is $250 that i didn't see anyone list. so am i to assume that this upgrade doesn't count? or did no one get the oil change? 250 isn't alot of credits, but it can often stop you from buying that one thing that you need. shtuta dillish?

just looked at the thread again. some of you did list the oil change. still my question stands, does the oilchange count towars the 150K? or is it a freebee?

wow. i forgot how much i hate this track! well, i don't hate it. It is a nice track, quite curvy and keeps a good pace. But i've ever had much practice on it. Only times i have raced on the track was when i had to. And this is the FIRST time i have done any free runs on the course, wut a *****! The memories of the TT are all coming back to me :D anyway, heres my first entry. i'll improve it by a second or 2 with a few more laps and maybe a different setup.

ok here's my next entry. It's the same Tuscan i used for the string challenge. The more i drive apricot, the more i HATE IT! ahh! I did a really awesome lap with the tuscan, and i have been trying to beat it for the past 2 hours! I got so mad i exited the run&settings to go wash the car for better airflow, and i forgot to save the best lap! NOOOOO!!! :gnasher: :banghead: the best i have managed without that ghost is 1'19.131. blech. i am SO pissed. i needed that ghost!! it's still the 1st place lap for me, is there no way i can get that lap replay?

Well you took your time to make this thread, LoudMusic. I'm in. I except that again I should buy some car and tune it, but the total expenses (car + mods) cannot exceed 150 000, correct? If this is correct, shouldn't we also list what parts we bought? I expect so and that's what I'll do.

The oil change is part of the tota 150,000. Some people have listed their individual expenses, but I like to go on the honor system. You may wish to keep track of your number, though, incase someone else would like to try out your car setup.

Car+Parts+oil <= 150,000 CR

Rock on! It's cool to see people jumping in.

Man, I couldn't even match my previous time. This is a good course, but it makes for difficult competition.

I still think the Lotus Elise Sport should be able to clean up in these competitions, but for some reason I just can't get the time.

~LoudMusic

isn't that lil thing expensive? if its around 50K it should kick ass. i'll have a go with it....
i thought about the MR2, but i see you did that one. i see i'm gonna haveta grab somthin i would normally never drive. uh oh. 😈

Updated

Well I made a few more runs at it myself, but couldn't best my time so I decided I was done. I need someone in person to compete with inorder to improve any more. I quickly jumped back in the ole F094/S and made a few runs. I have a new competition in mind already, and I'll probably start a thread for it tonight or this week sometime.

I think your Speed 6 time is going to stand for a while to come. That's pretty hardcore dude. I couldn't break 1:22 with the beast. Maybe I should go back and rethink my 150,000 on that machine and get a little better traction and not so much power.

~LoudMusic

Loud, you mispelled Angel as Agnel a few times, I fixed it. Good luck to the competitors.

Ok, how in the world did you get the Speed 6 doing that kind of lap time? I can't get it under 1:22, let alone break into the 1:18s.

Wow! That's pretty awesome. What parts did you put in it?

~LoudMusic

Parts I bought for the Lancer:
Oil change 250
Lightweight stage 1 1,200
Lightweight stage 2 5,500
Super Soft Tyres 47,500
Turbo Kit 2 13,500
Race Intercooler 3,000
Suspension/ Full 17,000
Sports Brakes 4,700
Transmission/ Full 10,400
Exhaust & Air Cleaner/ Racing 4,800
Racing Chip 1,500
Port Polish 5,500
Carbon Driveshaft 3,000
Racing Flywheel 1,050
Clutch/ Triple 4,700
+ car_____________
= 149,580 Cr

I just tried the Honda :honda: S2000 Type-V. With tuning I spent a total of 145,800 Cr. I thought I could beat my lancer time with it, since I always thought S2000 was a better car. Unfortunately, the car was suffering quite much oversteer, and I was a little disappointed in the car.

Best lap: 1'18.126

Tuscan Speed 6

T8 Tires
Sport Brakes
Sport Suspension
Semi-Racing Muffler
NA Tune 1
Chip
Carbon Shaft
Oil Change

for the setup...
Front: 6
Rear: 5
Camber: F - 2.0 R - 1.0 (sometimes i use 1.3, can't remember which i used for the 1'18.xxx)
TCS & ASM OFF

i think that was all...i'll check again later.

oh yea, for the viper i tried to get a good balance of power/handling. But that didn't work to well, so i went for a bit more power then i had the 1st time and it was good. about 40% handling and 60% power. I didn't bother with the triple clutch and flywheel. for the viper it was a waste of money, didn't have enough power to take advantage of them. and i didn't get a tranny either. i'll see if i can remember wut i bought, cause id idn't write it down and i can't save any of these cars (i am STILL in the middle of the final 10 races of the game). I should finish off that F1 championship and be 100% already, but it's just so boring :( those F1's messed up the game!
