I played PCars2 last night for a few laps. It's alright. Came home and slept and woke up with a headache. Opened a beer at 0730 and ten laps later I do a 1:08.772. This isn't the first time I set a new best after driving another game and set up.

And I tried the 2J, and within minutes I was at 1:09.0 and decided, nope, staying in the TS030.

@CC I'm done with the 2J. Just for fun run up some mileage on the TS and see what happens. I had about 6 sessions so far and every time within a few laps I do PB, and from there it's a grind.

Good time mate.

Read your post and the following happened :

1. Wow, great time from EeePee ... :odd:
2. Won't let him get away with it ... :mischievous:
3. Where's the PS3, where's the orange juice ... :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:
4. Yo man ... :D

Took me 100 more miles and more rant than usual.
1.08.672, P25 atm ( ODO 590 km )

Congratulation Cory, you're fastest in the Carina, brilliant 👍 👍 👍 ... and thanks for the challenge :) !

Tried the 2J today, but slower than the TS030 for me......

Can't get anywhere near @coryclifford though
Same here mate, just can't get that thing flowing. Actually got down to 1.09.628 yesterday, did it in the middle of a bunch of laps so I must have tricked it. As Fred says it's hard after doing that, the next lap was 1.11.1 with this thing trying to toss me off the track all in the last half lap.
And the beer helps, the do-gooders don't like us enjoying it but we tend to do good with a couple under the belt.

Just got my G29 and am liking it , except the brake pedal, which needs a few more laps to get used to. Running 1.10s in the 2J with tranny and differential tuning only. Tried the prior settings listed here but too much toe which is does not suit my driving style. Will be experimenting with the suspension setting and hope to be in the 1.09s. I lost my PS3 (crashed) so took 5 days to get all updates (that was fun!!!). Can anyone please advise on how to get mileage on TS020?

Do laps of Route X, well that was until today. I started on 84 miles, and ran it all day, up to 4,000 miles. switched on now to run some more and it's back to 84 miles. I let it save properly, checked the mileage in the garage, all good. WTF WTF WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear ya. My PS3 is shutting down if left idle for 20 minutes or so. Just realized you do not need the mileage trick as it is only 600PP. 1.10.8712 with 2J and will post TS030 times later today.

467 HP and 305 lb/ft torque at 88.3%. Running 1.12.1 in stock setting, but very slippery out of turns, may need to de-tune for torque of adjust the tranny. Still getting a feel for the car, haven't driven it before. Thanks for the digits!

Or could (God Forbid) activate TCS.

Big enough difference that it's worth the effort, little effort that it is. The torque difference is interesting.

The 2J is faster in speed by quite a bit.
1.11.877, now starts the fun part of tuning her. Still contemplating adding a tiny bit of TCS

Cory, just out of interest ( guess I won't start going for high mileage cars in the last days of GT6 ) :

I assume you've done so many miles with the Toyota 'cos you love that car and therefore just used it that much, ok.
But besides that, is there any way of just gathering miles without driving yourself ?

B Spec or the rubber band trick with the controller around Route X.

Hey Joe, check this out as posted by @nowcontrol in a TT last year. Discussion continues off and on for a few of pages.....

Happy grinding....

👍

Thank you guys for hints and link. Really appreciate that 👍. I finally know how it can be done at least. But ...
Another kind of rubberbanding  ? No ! Driving endless dull laps myself ? A waste of ... whatever !
I will practise 'til I'm able to compensate any lack of hp with driving skill :D.
