GT7 is the first racing AI I’ve encountered where I’m seriously not sure if they even recognize you on the track. They have no concept of backing out or giving space because they don’t seem to know that you are there in the first place. It’s very bizarre.

Early GT games were always like that.

I wont talk about how the Pitstops are broken as hell.
AI gets their stops done faster.

Maybe Sarthe is different but I have different experiences.

In the 4 Pepper GT Cup at Daytona I was pitting for gas in P2, right behind P1. He fills and gets tyres while I only fill and I'm leaving pits right in front of him.

They drive like beginners until the last lap. I did the Supra menu book last night...... Didn't win because the leading AI suddenly learned how to drive and took fastest lap.

The Chilli Pepper races are even worse. Spa for example, I'm passing everyone like crazy (That Mustang is OP, I'm telling you) and the AI is falling back by several seconds. 3rd is way back.

As soon as I pass 1st the difficulty finally kicks in. Now I've got a pack of cars right behind me, old P1 is nowhere to be found and the guys that were running in P6 and 7 are now taking dangerous lunges into corners.

both he and the Ferrari have the ability to hit my rear quarter panel from just about any angle. it’s just so absurd.

I only played Sport online so I’ve got no frame of reference if it’s really always been this bad… but I did consider: if Sony wanted to make their New Fangled AI seem really good, it would benefit them to keep it as dumb as possible for now.

I realize that’s extremely dramatic thinking but it’s uncanny how often the AI fishtails you in this game

Maybe Sarthe is different but I have different experiences.

The AIs pit Bay is not as far down as yours and as soon as you're done fueling, you're thrown out of pit, no driving down pit lane.
I have had the AI inside of me at points.
