The Dodge Viper GTS '02 Full Beam shoots straight up towards the sky instead of onto the road. noticed this yesterday when i was driving on the nur 24h in the night

I find it weird that this problem, the rear wheels lack of offset and the inactive tripmeter has not been brought up since the car must be driven during the grand tour special event.
(Only the wonky speedo is a proper bug though.)

Can I also report for premiums:

1) The M5's wheels having too much wheelbase compared with the body causing them to stick into the respective front and rear bumpers. (Standard version does not have the problem.)

2) Both front and rear wheels of the '08 Civic Type-R being too far back, especially the rears. (Cousin has one so I know it looks funny in GT5. Also many on the streets of S'pore.)

3) The S15 Silvia having insufficient track width causing the left and right wheels to be too close together and look oddly narrow. Compare it with the standard version where the wheels are almost flush with the wheel archs.

Edit: Sorry, but these are not specific to 2.06. They have been like this since launch.

Sadly, the wheelbase on the Alfa 8C is correct like that. Although it looks like the tyres are too narrow and should stand out more widely, this is like it is with the real car too. I couldn't believe how wrong it looked when I saw a 8C at a local sports car dealer but it actually seems like that in real life.
(I still could be wrong on this though, possibly the game's car has still rear wheels that are offset)

Same about some Ferraris in GT5 as well as in reality by the way, take the Enzo for example, the wheels look pretty offset but they are actually like that in real life. Same about the mirrors, while the one on left side has a normal size the one on the right is way smaller. Looks weird, didn't notice that until I've seen one in real life though, but it is replicated in GT5 too.

I'd like to provide pictures but I'm on PS3 so it's a bit complicated...

Heard a rumor there are no payouts at Motegi?

Correct, remote races online on Motegi don't pay out any rewards.

Something my friend recently told me via PM and what I tried out too, the Eclipse Spyder GTS '03 is glitched when re-painting it any colour, the colour becomes way darker than it actually is then. For example, using a white chip results in a gray body.
Pretty cool actually, when painting it matte black some parts where shadows are become totally blacked out, I keep getting asked in public lobbies what colour I painted it.

Than there's a popular glitch method in photo travel which allows you to place the car in areas where it shouldn't be able to go usually and place the camera inside the vehicle to take interior shots, didn't see that in the opening post. Pretty cool glitch making some unique pictures, I'd love if PD just ignored it and go on with GT6.

I can't confirm that this is new since the last patch, but last night while preparing to race in an online lobby on Sarthe 2009 (no chicanes), the host had the drivetrain set to MR and FR only. Looking in my garage, I could not find my Ford GT '02. After a short discussion on whether or not the car actually existed (I knew I wasn't crazy), I asked the host to make all drivetrains available, and voila! There was my Ford GT '02.

I know the Ford GT '02 is MR, so I should have been able to see it in my garage with the drivetrain limited to MR and FR only. I guess that even though it's listed as MR, somehow it's coded incorrectly, like maybe as RR or FR.

Same about the mirrors, while the one on left side has a normal size the one on the right is way smaller. Looks weird...

Yea, I call this the "little nemo syndrome" (after the movie "finding nemo"), many cars especially Audi and VWs are guilty of using smaller passenger-side mirrors. Looks stupid, but I think it helps the aerodynamics and stuff.
I think there are normal sized after marked mirrors for many models, to correct this birth defect.

I think that in theory, the 8C's rear brakes are at the right place (distance from center of car). The wheelbase problem (I mentioned it here?) is arguably minor where the front wheels are a little bit too close to the rear of the arch.

However, the rear wheels should be much more concave, also making the edge of the wheel/tyre closer to the edge of the arch.

Pretty much every other racing game suffers from this modeling 'shortcut' where the exact same wheel model is used for both axles. The alternative problem commonly found is all the wheels being relatively flat compared to reality. (RS6, 307CC etc)

It's really more of a flaw rather than a bug but since I've got some time.....

In GT5, off the top of my head,

Cars where rear wheels are misused for front:

E46 M3 (standard)
C63 AMG
Gallardo LP560-4
GTR Spec-V (R35)

Cars where front wheels are misused for rear:

XK 4.2
XKR
8C
370Z
possibly the DLC R35 GTR Black Edition

And possibly the yet to be released R35 GTR used at this year's 24H@The Ring.

As I have mentioned elsewhere, the really annoying part is that the correct offsets for others like the modern V12 Lambos, the LF-A, MP4-12C and the oldest R35 GTR were modeled perfectly!

Talking about mirrors being asymetrical, check out the old 80's Mercedes models. It should help with visibility.

It has unknown drivetrain. Don't understand how it's possible:ouch:

When drive train restrictions are set in a online lobby... And say for example the host sets no 4wds... Anything with "---" as the drive train such as the art Morrison or the gt cirtroen it will not show up in the garage... You have to be in the car for it to get on the track with it... Or exit the lobby get in the car then join back... If you switch to a different car you will have to do that again

Then this indeed is a bug! I would understand if the game shows some cars with unknown drivetrains (secret concepts and such - we've seen that in previous GT titles) but if once you are in the car and it actually has the right drivetrain you may use it? Odd...

Been like this in GT5 since they made the drive train restrictions setting available (whatever the update was but it was way before 2.06)... Like for example i used to drift the gt cirtroen road car which is technically MR but it shows up as --- if i was already in the car and the drive train restrictions are set to FR it says when i try to enter "drive trains available FR my car is MR"... but like i said if the room is set to MRs only and i am not in the car it will not show up in the garage... Kind of pointless if it still allows it while i am in it to get on the track but not show up... But i have noticed it since that update but not 2.06... It was some update prior to that one

Tire sounds still disappear online sometimes. Not sure what causes it, but some have speculated it happens more often when you change/load a new map while people are still on the course. The syncing of connections in a lounge needs some improvement lol

Has anyone else seen the "Starting Race jingle" Repeat over and over for them through a whole online race?

I even tried pressing start but it wouldnt stop...more than likely a lag issue but i'll come back if i see it again.

True, often happens to me too. After 2-7 track changes usually. Not always but quite frequently.

I have not seen the jingle repeating, but experienced a couple of times when people witrh weak connections were in the room that when the countdown counted down to 0 while I was sitting in the pit, the player with the weak connection got disconnected and a new counter began couting down from 10 to 0.

Today I did one of the time trials and the little message popped up along the side in the chat saying my ranking. I then left and went into my lobby. After joining I noticed that the same message was still up. I wouldn't call it a bug though.

** Track-related bug **

I have experienced 2 issues at SSRX, during some break-in runs. This was with Tire Wear/Fuel Consumption set to ON.

First, we ghosted our cars at the beginning of the race (parking our cars at the pit lane exit for around 20 seconds) so that we won't hit each other when maximizing our slipstreams. When the time came to pit in to get fuel and a fresh set of tires, our cars would just drive through the pit lane. Plus, the pit crews aren't on standby to receive your car. We've tried to re-enter
the pits multiple times, but still no tires and fuel

Second, we had another break-in session, this time no ghosting at the start so as to avoid the madness last time :dunce: When the time came for pit stops, a friend of mine got stuck in the pit lane, and the pit crew that was supposed to service the car is still inside the garage  The car was stuck for the remainder of the race. :ouch::crazy:

Yes I've had this happen so many times to me. Most of the time it's at Daytona.

Custom Track Night Time Bug
When ever a Toscana Custom track is selected in an online setting, If set to day time (18:00) and set time change to 1 the time change until the host changes track settings will change like time change setting 10.
Also if the track has be reset after 3 people are in the same room and more join half the room will be on a daytime track and the rest will be racing under night time....

Been awhile guys. Anyone interested in taking over this thread let me know. Finally getting a chance to do seasonals for the first time this week now.

There's a sound problem when crashing against the wall on a certain spot in Côte d'Azur and Eiger that causes the crash sound not to play.
